Great theater! Grew up going here, the remodel is amazing & the best price on consessions in town!
Love this theatre!! I watched Flatliners here back in 1990. Support your local theatres, or they wont exist anymore!!!!!
Glad to have it open again. Need work on their concessions management/service. But yeah for movie night.
Cheap for how nice it is. Good variety of concessions, including a bar. They generally play movies hard to see elsewhere, which is nice if youre into indie and other such movies. Theater has plenty of leg room and was quite clean when I went. Sound system isnt the best but its not bad.
Wonderful staff -- made a private birthday showing personal and special!
Wonderful local one screen theater, with a small bar upstairs. Ive been here for private events & films, and would go back. Prices are comparable, seats are actually pretty comfortable, if not slightly rundown (peeling, but in otherwise good condition), and they host some cool film festivals, science nights, and even showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Local gem that is well worth a visit.
Nice welcome back to the movies!
Kiggins is an icon in Vancouver Washington, so grateful its still standing as it holds a lot of memories from my childhood. I love that you can have adult beverages while youre watching a movie and its an old building with a lot of character.
This theater is always enjoyable. Owners are very nice and respectful of nuances. Keep it up Kiggins my family has been coming here for over 50 years and will continue to come!!
Amazing throwback. It looks and smells and feels like an old theater. They just dont make em like they used to! Staff is always friendly and the showings are affordable.Kiggins supports some lesser known local artists and their art, gotta love it!
The Kiggins is a classic movie theatre in Vancouver with great movies, popcorn, and comfy seats.
I love this place. Old theater thats been renovated but maintains its nostalgic feel. Plenty of parking in surrounding area, but youll have to park on street (possible parallel parking although there are diagonal spaces, too). REAL BUTTER on the popcorn and a variety of movies and shows to see. I attended the Thursday night comedy show and was pleasantly surprised at the caliber of comedians (well worth the entry fee - Ive paid a lot more for a lot less laughs at other places)! Brews and Ciders on tap during comedy show, too. My spouse and kid have become regulars at their Friday Fright Nights, seeing Nosferatu, The Thing and the classic, Piranha. Nosferatu is a silent film accompanied by LIVE musicians - are you kidding me? How COOL is that? My preteen and spouse loved it. Highly recommend!
Love what theyve done to push this iconic place into presenting new kinds of speakers and shows. Great ambience and staff.
An older Regal, but kept in good shape. If it werent so expensive Id go more often. Regards card members hey cheap Tuesdays: $5.55 tickets and $2 hotdogs.
Visited for the first time last night to attend the “comedy on tap” show offered every second Thursday. I love that they’re bringing comedy to the Vancouver community! While not the best stand-up comedy we’ve ever seen, we did have fun and laughed quite a bit. I was a bit surprised by some of the jokes/themes because the website had listed the event as “all ages welcome” and so I expected it was going to be clean comedy...it was definitely not family-friendly, and I wouldn’t recommend it for “all ages.” We also seemed to be some of the youngest ones there, they seemed to cater to an older crowd and a lot of the jokes reflected that. The theater itself is really nice!
Love the popcorn. Great seats.. enough leg room for all.
I was extremely surprised how nice and friendly Kiggins has become. The cost of admissions was reasonable, although the concession stand had me holding up my hands thinking I was being robbed. Come on! A medium popcorn, 2 medium drinks, and 2 candy bars was over $30? I highly recommend Linda Ronstand: the sound of my voice Great movies.
They did an awesome job on the remodeling inside also its nice and warm and cozy. There is a bar upstairs now. Great job!!
Looking for a show that was not played in many Theatre at all...But Kiggins was one of very few...The show wasOnce were Brothers...Thank you Kiggins for a Great Time...And your Theatre was a BLAST FROM THE PAST...AGAIN THANK YOU...GOD BLESS YOU KIGGINS...
We went to see Miracle on 34th Street.I appreciate Kiggins efforts in having audio Description devices to describe movies. The movie we were there to watch is just to old to have description.Pop corn was great.
What an excellent venue to enjoy a quality film. This is one of the few locations that airs this type. Tonight it was Farewell. People who do not take the opportunity are really missing out. Go online and check out the upcoming presentations.
Great parking in the back and the staff is incredibly helpful. Theater seats are incredibly comfortable with lots of leg room. Saw that they do Rocky Horror shows here, would be the perfect place to go see one.
Love this place.
LOVE this place. Especially the Science on Tap serious. So much fun. Its older but well maintained. Full of culture and spirit.
I loved this Theater. I saw Shaun of the Dead here. Awesome popcorn and a cool bar. The staff are super friendly. You should check this place out. It was built in 1936 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. It was named after John P. Kiggins the former mayor of Vancouver.

New seats, good movie and you can even have a beer or a glass of wine!
Its a cool venue
This movie theater is exceptional and outstanding. You can watch some popular new movies but the amazing fact is the variety of special movies. Some good ones you might never have seen before and some you want to watch again and again. The slogan of the theatre is true:Independently minded, community focused.
This awesome historic place is a wonderful place for show or special events. We enjoy the atmosphere and options for snacks & beverage!
I go here for Science on Tap lectures and its a great venue for that. Good acoustics, good beer selection, and a nice downtown Vancouver location.
Phantom of the Opera was fantastic. The live musicians from our symphony really made it worth seeing. Great show looking forward to the next event here. The theater looks awesome.
Best popcorn Ive ever had.
Visited for Banff film festival- Great Time!
Great local theater and the best popcorn in the state.
Attended a Science on Tap. It was really good.
Nice comfy seats. They have Good pizza and beer, too. Theres bathrooms on both floors and pizza is upstairs. Theres a nice lounge area upstairs, too. We enjoyed he Talk on Corvids we saw last week, a lot.
We always enjoy our selves ️
I love the classic film series they run here! Its wonderful to see a historic theater featuring and showing vintage films!
Visited for the comedy show on second Thurdays. Great laughs! The owner is sweet and welcoming. Definitely recommended!
I love the Kiggins! Its such a fun, vintage-style theater experience. I like the screen and the seating. Everyone was nice and the candy and popcorn were good. They have unique movies that no one else has, and I dig that they play some of the old classics. Thank you Kiggins - we love you - were coming tonight!
It was a nice place to watch Metallica with San Francisco symphonic orchestra!
It was so fun and the staff made it an amazing interactive experience!
Great independent theater with a solid variety of unique movie choices. Nice little lounge upstairs. Best popcorn in town. Were thrilled they were able to save this historic theater. The community support has been strong. Just a super spot for some entertainment and hanging out with friends.
Great theater experience!
Great local place for a movie!
I love this place. Quaint, unique movies and shows. Great wine, cider and beer selection. Best popcorn around! Check out the VSO Chamber series. It’s beautiful!
Always a good time. Support your local independent theatre!!!
Beautiful theater with a fun atmosphere!
One word really describes this theatre... Grand. It is drop dead gorgeous, the views are all perfect and the acoustics are great. The staff are friendly and helpful. And the shows offer something for everyone.
Great science on tap nights. Love that they renovated and kept the building. Consessions are unfortunately just as costly as any mainstream theater but there is beer, hard cider and pizza available upstairs. You can bring your drinks in the theater.
Beautiful old theater. Apparently new seats (very comfortable) according to my friends. Friendly staff. Online ticketing options.
Love the Art Deco character of this old theater. I always feel happy when I watch a movie here. Added bonus is the upstairs bar where you can get wine, beer or cider to enjoy during the show.
Quaint retro theatre with a focus in older films, history and more!
Small but great service and choices. Really cheap date! We had a sausage, soda and movie for 2, all for $25.
Big comfortable chairs, good selection of treats.
Nicely restored movie theatre. Seats were comfortable and employees were pleasant. Upgraded sound was a plus. This is the Vancouver location for the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Theater also shows first run indie films and old classics.
Fantastic local theatre. I try and come by every couple weeks. The staff are very friendly and obviously care about the history of the theatre and the community as a whole. Lots of unique movies and shows. Plus, the popcorn is great!P.S. Ignore Sheryl.
Out of the original twelve this is the only single screen theater left. Second run and Art House films. Take you children so they can experience films the way you and your parents did. They have the best seats in South Washington, so comfortable. They also have the best consesson stand of any theater in the area. Adult beverages up stairs for people that enjoy that, I dont. Super nice staff, thank you ladies. I only noticed two things I was not happy with, the movie was projected in the wrong aspect ratio, hint: titles were slight cut off. And they still have a bit of slap echo, the back of the theater needs some sound deadening material. Relax and enjoy the movie without the kids kicking the back of your seat. Go and support this theater.
Such an amazing first experience. We will definitely be back.
We LOVE this theater. It always makes for a fun date night + the staff is very wonderful and friendly! Love supporting local. ;-)
Love this local gem of a theatre!
Kiggins is a little gem in our community. Comfy seats, a wide variety of movies and fabulous live events. The owners obviously care about Vancouver and getting intelligent, creative and unique offerings!
Carey Helm was a fantastic magician. See him if you get the chance. You wont be disappointed
Classic old theater in the heart of downtown Vancouver showing the old classics.
Vintage doesnt get better than this. Enjoy an old classic in a theater that fully enhances the experience. Oh, but it does have one of those fancy wancy sound systems. And great popcorn!
Interior and seats very nice. Good film.
Retro. Wonderful. Great seating and feel.
Beautiful restored movie theater.
Great Theatre for movie lovers. Reasonable rates. Reminds of Cinema 21 in downtown Portland, Oregon.
Nostalgia abounds in this lovely vintage movie parlor. The seats are modern but they dont clash for some reason. The projector is bright and the sound is big and dimensional. Serving beer and wine in a real glass is a nice treat. Ill be back.
Very classic. This small theatre is a historic part of Vancouver. I came here recently to got to the Science on Tap event, which was a talk on Ebola. They tend to have events like this frequently
A fun throwback theater that plays tons of unique stuff that you wont see played in other theaters. They serve beer on the second floor and you can bring it into the theater and have a nice buzz while you watch. Tons of candy you will remember from your childhood, I got a strip of four or five Zotz (fizzy candy) for a quarter. Made me feel like a kid again.Go and have a great time.
Big theater with a bar upstairs but you can bring your drinks into the show you are watching. Im there every fourth Saturday of the month for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Very quaint little Theatre. Comfortable seats, good sound system. Great Popcorn and you can gave a beer in the Theater. Will definitely be going back.
Beautifully renovated retro theater with beer and wine upstairs. Best damn movie theater popcorn in town.
Great old time movie experience!
Old school theater, stadium seating (great view of screen from any seat,) vintage candy/concession options, friendly service. Movie screen is a bit smaller than other theaters, but you hardly notice after a while. Cozy fun vintage movie experience.
Absolutely wonderful establishment! Prices are responsible and the staff was very polite. Would highly recommend venturing downtown to check it out!
Nicely restored art deco style theatre. New, reclining seats, good screen. Music was live that evening for silent movie. Well done.
Nostalgia! Great selection of films! Updated sound and digital video! Awesome food selection and beer/wine choices!
Great local venue for eclectic movies, events and music. Small upstairs bar and a real retro feel. We love coming here for any reason we can find!
A wonderful venue with the best popcorn EVER! A great concert at the Art Deco Holiday Spectaculsr
Friendly Staff clean and inviting
Independent theater. They really care about their customers and listen to suggestions. Best popcorn in the world with some great toppings. Nutritional yeast is a great choice that I discovered via Kiggins staff.
Historic downtown Theater, beautifully renovated. Should have everyones support!
One big screen with plenty of seating. The films they show usually dont play for long so see then while theyre hot!
Great location in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. The Kiggins Theatre had beer and wine upstairs and great updated seating. Its a comfortable place to enjoy a beer and a movie or if you like Science, swing by on the second wednesday of the month for Science on tap. The late night showing of Rocky Horror picture show is also worth checking out.Great old theater, glad to see something like this doing well.
Had a great experience tonight! Very comfortable seating too!
Just a great small theater with comfy chairs, friendly staff, eclectic snacks and movies I can’t see anywhere else! I drive all the way from Boring, Oregon to see movies here!
