Wow. I don’t know where to even start. During this pandemic I wanted to watch tenet so I drove 40 minutes away to this theatre in Vancouver. As I entered the theatre there was no given information about which theatre I was supposed to enter, no one had scanned my ticket. And as I showed my ticket to concessions all they did was smile and wave. Looking for tenet I decided to go into the theatre that displayed the correct time and showing of the film. As I sat there watching the film, 15 minutes in, everything was great. Until I was pulled out of the theatre as it was apparently a private showing. At most there was 6 others watching the film with me. No one had issues or even told me that it was a private showing. So I obliged to who I assume is the manager who then directed me to a much worse theatre which said that it started at 7, however at 7:35 when I entered the film hadn’t even started yet, they were playing trailers. After watching the trailers and waiting for tenet to start yet again the screen stopped and it didn’t work for 20 minutes. I asked around and apparently this was the second time this had happened. What an indescribably poor experience. Easily the worst theatre I’ve ever been to in my life time.

The new amc theater in the vancouver mall, they open at 1230. Tickets for new movies cost around 12 bucks per person. For a large icee(thats the only size they have) and one box of cookie dough bites it was about the same price as the ticket. Theater 10 has a cozy feel to it. The only down side is that amc did not reupholster any of the seats. The cushions are broken down, there was popcorn spilled all over the place. And what looked to be soda spilled on the foot rest as well. I do like the ceiling though. Its made to look like the night sky. Id have givin a higher rating if the first showing of the day in theater 10 had at least been clean.

Was there before the big closure of all theaters etc and it was disappointing from prior Cinetopia experiences. While there is the no food service and all that the big items are that they have not redone the very worn seats and some are broken enough that I dont want to use it. The sound has gone from a more accurate pleasing to the very loud blaring approach so hence the standard...Not sure I want to go again honestly. Now I read the AMC is like 5 billion in dept, challenges or the movie theater industry, and the is a pending change. I wondered why they bought these theaters given how saturated the market and did not maintain/upgrade these back to the upscale experience. Now I wonder if they will even open again.....

Smaller and older that needs updating. Theater was dirty, there was popcorn on the floor walking into the theater room and at the seats - even though we were the first to get to our showing. There werent any adverts or imagery before the previews, which is a pro or a con depending on who you are. Seats are older and close together - felt every nudge or kick from the people behind us. Decent snack options available. Screen is a bit on the smaller side and sound was not the most incredible. Not a bad experience, especially for the cheaper price compared to other options.

Everything was great till after the movie. I went to use the sink in the ladies room and they had shut off all water and disconnected the soap. Another lady figured out how to turn on the water but we had to t squeeze out soap! Apparently they do this to clean their copper sinks, but forgot to hook it back up. Next time wait till customers are gone!!

Dirty bathrooms, popcorn prices so utterly ridiculous for a bag of popcorn that was half crumbs. The butter wasnt clearly labeled, so I had to ask about it from another customer. Only 1 lady working the counter for both tickets and snacks. Place has been open for months, yet no soda vending. Bottles only. Just a bad experience. The staff was nice enough, and the movie was great. The theatre is supposed to be an experience for the price we pay. This was an experience, but not one I am willing to repeat.

3 because the seats are effed up. We sat in the livingroom top and when you sit down, they recline to a point that you are eye level with the balcony wall. We moved down a row, and it was better, but still have to position your self with the ottoman just right to not overly recline. In addition i ALWAYS bring a jacket with me because when the movie starts the AC generally kicks on in most theaters, this one was a little to warm all the way through. But the popcorn was good and the movie was hilarious.

Mill Plain 8 still advertises Living Room theaters as luxury seating, yet ottomans have been removed, seats are falling apart, and seating is no longer 21-and-over. Id like AMC to explain why they are still charging higher ticket prices for inadequate conditions that are worse than their grand auditoriums. This was once considered one of the best cinemas to go to years ago. AMC really needs to do some severe renovations to this place, because its almost embarrassing to go to for the prices they charge.

Review №35

Since the AMC takeover, the already sad, outdated theater has gone into severe further neglect. Theyve diminished the counter items back down to (very cheap) popcorn, soda, chocolate milk, water, tea, and candy. So, no more coffee or exotic drinks, and less snacks, but more candy. Theyve gotten rid of the restaurant and bar, which once had amazing (if albeit expensive) burgers and fries, and gluten-free options, before. So, now it just sits empty and pointless. AMC has had it for a month, and surprisingly, for as big a company they are, theyve made ZERO improvements to the facility beyond a few good movie posters and cutouts. Nothing functional or aesthetic has been fixed, and both are necessary. The seats are squeaky and caked with the filth of a thousand butts before you. The bathrooms function poorly and have reached that point of needing to be replaced, for being beyond cleaning. The place is drab and dark, and institutional, and needs a complete overhaul. The employees are all pleasant and helpful, but you could tell they seemed a bit embarrassed and lost regarding the affect the switch has had. Theyre the saving grace of why I generously gave it a two, instead of a one, like the place, itself, deserves.Hopefully, well see some much-needed changes to come, but I cant recommend this place, at the moment. Until we hear word that theyve begun to improve, I plan to steer clear of it, and so should you.

Once they rock back, your head is positioned to either be looking at the ceiling or down your cheeks at the screen in the Living Room Theaters and Grand Auditoriums. The Parlors are a unique experience, but a lot of the seating is run down in them. With a few upgrades, Cinetopia would be out-of-this-world amazing, and I would love to change my rating to five stars. The wine selections are pretty good, the food is quite toothsome. So PLEASE, Cinetopia. I went to the 11:00p.m. Showing and someone brought their toddler with them who ended up crying through the whole movie and the parents decided to play a movie on their tablet to try and calm their crying toddler that shouldve been home safe in bed instead of dragged to the theater at such a late hour. Not to mention, I ordered the pretzel at cinetopia because I really like their cheese fondue but no one bothered to tell me they were out of it. I would not have spent the $10.00 for it had I known. And when I went to complain to management after the movie they said they couldnt help me because I stayed through the whole movie. I told them that I had hoped the toddler would stop crying and that it was a belated birthday gift for me so I stayed hoping that I wouldnt miss any more than I already had. At least at regal theaters they try and offer something to compensate for the horrible experience! I had to call coorporate the next day just to get some kind of reimbursement. It was one of the worst experiences Ive had at a movie theater in my life. And I go to the movies a lot!!! Normally, I really enjoy watching movies here but this last visit was very disappointing to say the least.
