The trails were clean & I love that the one we were on was stroller friendly. However, the visitor center looked unkept, the trails werent clearly marked, and there was only one map that we could find which was NOT at the visitors center.I know they are doing updates soon though and look forward to coming back after the updates are complete :)

This could be an excellent place to get in touch with nature. Nice trails, some paved. The Friendship Pavilion is a fine example of wooden peg and beam construction. Its well maintained and clean. The problem is that its not really open. The sign says open Monday through Friday, 8 - 5, I think, but the gates are always locked. This is actually a hub for Parks and Wildlife in East Texas. They do have special outreach programs mostly for kids, fishing and educational programs. These are generally private functions.I suppose its a budget issue, but this could really be a great park.

Its beautiful out here. My biology lab class came here on a field trip to study different species of fish and macro invertebrates and we found a good diversity here! The place is kept up well, and is fun to visit.

Beautiful park with great trail system. You can take advantage of the stocked pond and get some fishing done. (Please give me a thumbs up if you found this review helpful.)

I love the trails here. Never crowded, and although trails are not lengthy it is perfect for walks with my kids.
