It was very pretty and quiet. However, if you are a larger rig, there will be limited spaces. We are 40 feet and had to move to a new site as site 85 would only fit a small rv like 26 to 28 foot max. Wish it was more specific in description. The asphalt roads are very narrow with small to medium ditches on the sides.

It is very well kept and has some very beautiful walking areas along with a good view of the river. It is quite a ways out of town but the drive in nice and the quiet is a bonus. If we go back to the area I will make plans to stay there again.

Very nice COE campground. Site 35 was big enough for our 42ft 5th wheel. Great view. Easy check in, clean sites with a good layout. Laundry is 1 washer and 1 dryer, cost is $1 each. Water pressure is good. Nice and quiet.

This Corp of Engineer campground was a pleasant surprise. My site was an easy pull through and had a nice patio area a few steps down from the parking spot overlooking the deeply wooded valley. The campground bath/shower room was clean and well-maintained.

Deerlick Corp of Engineers Camp Ground on the Warrior River just above Holt Lock & Dam is one of my wife and myself s special places to go. The scenery is Breath Taking and the sites are all concrete pad and very well kept. But, one thing that you may not like is it does not have sewer services on the sites but, it does have clean bath houses and washer & dryers. You can call for reservations through Recreation.Gov.

Beautiful and peaceful, some sights to small for big campers. To far to beach area. Little to far to town if you really needled something. Nothings is really on the water.

Very nice COE campground. I camped at one of the tent (primitive) locations, which include running water and electricity. Showers and restrooms are within walking distance of tent sites.

The camp vonlunteers and workers are very nice and friendly. Campground is a very safe place, enough that I left my bike unattended several times and it was untouched. Small warning though, if youre illergic to bee stings then take safety measures becuase there are a lot of yellow jackets in the campground(at least the part where we were that was away from the water. The campground has nice swimming areas and bike trails. There are also hiking trails. There are at least 5 different places to swim including the beach area which accounts for 2 of those spaces. They have picnic areas near the beach with shaded benches and stand-up grills. The campgrounds has showers also. There is also an abundance of firewood thanks to a camp vollunteer that makes it his mission to saw up fallen trees into logs small enough for the fire pit. I enjoyed myself, cant wait to head back.

I love this campground. Its clean, and quiet every time that I have been there, and very reasonable priced. Its a bit of a drive, and a bit out of the way, with a lot of turns, and curvey roads to get there, but thats part of the fun. I usually try to stay a night here when traveling through, but I dont advise doing that on an Alabama football Saturday. The traffic on McFarland is HORRIBLE, and theres no other good way to get there.

Had a wonderful campsite and there were stacks of firewood along the road for anybody to pick up and use. Just wish they turned up the temperature a little bit. The last day was really cold and windy.

Some of the best layed out campsites we have ever been in. I dont think there is a bad site in the campground. If you are in a larger RV some of them could be tricky or impossible to get in. Everything is unbelievably clean, sites and bathhouses. Put it on your to go to lists.

Nice campsites that are well maintained and quiet. Biggest drawback is the one bathhouse for 46 sites. Only two showers and three stalls. My suggestion is build another shower facility or extend the current one with individual showers instead of inside the womens or mens bathrooms. It worked well in Douthat State Park in VA.

Awesome campground overlooking Holt Lake. Some sites down the hill would be impossible for big rigs but lots of good choices on the higher sites. Many sites have their own private wood deck overlooking the water although trees do obscure the view somewhat.
