Cane from out of town and these multipurpose paths are amazing. Similar to back home, San Antonio, these pathways are a bit more wider and people friendly as well.

The lake is beautiful, but the real hidden gem is the (free!) art exhibit inside the theater. They have rotating artists and the desk clerk was so kind and informative. It only takes a moment of time, and she said sometimes the artists make appearances. Worth checking out if you haven’t seen it!

This place is so relaxing. A beautiful evening of gentle water flow and ambient lighting. Fantastic place to unwind and enjoy a bike ride, stroll, and/or jog. Always neat and clean and during summer can also rent canoes/kayaks for boating adventures. People are friendly, and its good vibes whenever we go. There are different access sides to the lake so there is a choice according to which side you enter at. One side bathrooms and kayaking most prevalent, and the other is more of a beach front fishing pier type of atmosphere. There are restrooms located on both sides, which are maintained and clean. I really enjoy afternoon park festivities as they are both family friendly and entertaining.

I always love going here, for several reasons. You can exercise, there is a water plat pad for those of yall with kiddos. At night the light rail is lit up and is fun to see and watch the reflection on the water. I love the old tressel train track that is still used. The smell of the tresses and loud clatter of a real train. Did you know you can bike ride, run and walk the green belt in Scottsdale all the way down into Tempe and around the lake?! There are nearby businesses to rent paddle boards. You can sail scull and outrigger. Dont forget about fishing as well. Just enjoy water and distress

Great place to spend time with your family and friends. Weve had birthday parties, picnics, and walks at Rio Salado Park for a number of years. I visit the park at least 2 to 3 times a month. Its a routine that my youngest daughter and I will remember for a lifetime.

The “Rope Tower” is the best thing for ppl of all ages with a love for climbing! It’s very versatile and they always keep up maintenance! The playgrounds are colorful and very interactive with different things that appeal for a wide range of age. The little water park is also a treat if you wanna cool down but don’t wanna spend tons of money. All in all a wonderful park and my absolute favorite. Whether you want to walk along the scenic routes, play in the jungle gym, or jump in some puddles in the water area. There’s something for everyone

Beautiful area but not sprayed enough to keep down bugs. Bring mosquito repellent or expect a LOT of bug bites. Great place for long walks, bike riding, or to just sit on the many park benches & enjoy the scene. Sometimes events are scheduled at the Tempe town lake parks or boating in the man made lake.

Really nice place to walk around and enjoy the Tempe Lake and the weather. Walking biking skating. Art center is really nice inside. Good place for the family, Date or just hanging out. A separate organization does a beautiful 9/11 Memorial. Its to bad Tempe charges them fees and taxes as we found out. It left a bad taste in our minds if this is true. This is a non for profit organization supports all that passed saving our citizens to airline passengers. I would of gave five stars if I didnt hear that part.

My absolute favorite park within a 25 mile radius! This would have been the park only a child with a healthy imagination could have imagined up! Came on a Tuesday around 2pm and the place had a perfect number of children and parents joining in on the fun & the playground aquipment. My boys had a chance to take their time and really decide what to play on next, without the hassle of other kids jumping ahead in line. A definite park for visitors and people from out of town. On January 31st @ 2pm in Arizona without a cloud in sight and the sun shining, it was a perfect AZ afternoon to experience!

First time to check out the waterfront park. Parking is available at the park off of Gilbert drive. Worth the trip to look at the new buildings and the waterfront. The park offers rentals and there were paddle board rentals at a vendor in a building along the park. Folks were learning how to sail using one person dinghys which was also pretty interesting.

Awesome place, just loved it. I had scheduled a meeting with my high school friend over here on a fine evening of hot summer day, but the place was magical, the lake/river brings in a cool breeze along with it and just makes the feel so good. I would always go to this place just to sit and ponder, especially on a hot summer day. Also, they have enough parking spaces, so you would never have to worry about paying for it as well.
