Ive been taking pictures of the Hayden flour mill at random intervals since moving to AZ.
You can easily access this mill from the Mission Palms North Lot - Public Parking. Park and walk to the place with the metal gate and rocky path. From there, you can either take the sidewalk there OR you can continue up the rocky path and then merge onto A Mountains trail which will take you to the mill. Its a nice historical landmark, however unfortunately no one is allowed in. I wish they gave tours of the place at least so we could explore the inside. :)
This large white mill building has been here for many many years. But in more recent times they have decided to turn it into more of a respected historic landmark. As you approach this place you will see placards that have stories about its history.
We Arizonan brats have been dri8by this piece of culture for many, many years you cant help but count the broken windows everytime .. An Icon in the eyes of all of us .
Really cool historical flower mill. I highly suggest visiting it and reading about the history of it
I love being able to see a bit of our past standing in the middle of town
This is one of the few things left from the old tempe. Its historic! Open it up with a remodel as a museum and a few shops inside. This building will crumble if something isnt done.
One of must see historic place when you are visiting Tempe, Arizona. They have storyline of how this place is popular.
I dont want to give these guys a bad rating because they are local, and honestly I do like the look of their mill even though its gotten a bit old and run down as of late. But I cant give them a very high score simply due to their terrible customer service. I ordered some flour over a month ago and it still hasnt arrived.
