Very Rare Authentic Victorian Style House Located within Tempe’s Petersen Park Neighborhood. Built in 1892 as the home for Prominent Tempe Rancher Niels Petersen and his wife Susanna. Constructed by Renowned Architect, James Creighton, it was one the most Elegant rural homes in the Salt River Valley. This two-story Queen Anne Victorian-Style House features a Wrap-Around Front Porch, Various Custom Ornate Finishes throughout the Interior, and Ample Space for Entertaining. It is conveniently located just two miles from Downtown Tempe.

A lovely old house in Tempe from circa 1892. Especially fun to tour around Christmas time.

Ive always driven by not knowing exactly what this house was until I went on a field trip with my sons 4th grade class. The guides had a very nice structure and routine and kept the children involved and entertained. I thought that it was a great tour overall.

I love this house. Simple and dignified, offering a glimpse into Tempes past. Lovingly cared for by the Tempe Historical society. A nearby opportunity to introduce the past to your children and grandchildren! And a nice family holiday activity for all!It is only open regularly to the public the first 3 full weekends in Dec. for Danish Christmas. This year (2019): Dec 7&8, 14 &15, 21&22. 10 AM - 2 PMGuides, cookies, some activities, park with swings and tables for families to make a nice day of it :-)FREE, although donations are accepted to help maintain this beautiful piece of Tempe history.During the year, the house opens for field trips for local schools and private group tours can be arranged through Tempe Parks & Rec, for a nominal fee.Enjoy!

Wait. You mean people lived in Phoenix before the 1990s no way. I think this place is a hoax. People didnt start moving here until the cookie cutter suburbs started populating all across the barren dessert land.
