I always love this place. Nice and friendly staff, great location, comfortable seats and auditoriums. Also, to me, Harkins popcorn is still the best Ive ever had. Especially with extra butter, layered.

This theatre is in the Tempe market place, the market place itself is like a small town. You can get everything there. The theatre is so good. You can book the ticket online and collect it easily through self check-in. No need to wait in the queue. The theatre has many screens so you can expect all most every English movies there. There are multiple food options available inside, I have attached the photos of the menu and the price. Parking spaces are available nearby, even for the bicycles. The inside of the theatre is good too, seats are so comfortable and the screen is very big. The sound system is Dolby 360 and its amazing.

It was a clean, comfortable theater with great picture and sound. Ive been very cautious about Covid, and I felt very safe with the precautions they have in place. I hope people start going to the movies again to keep this great place on business.

Great picture and sound but my thing tonight is we pay so much for soda with no refills unless its a loyalty cup makes no freaking sense if Harkins aint gonna do refills on soda and popcorn then maybe change your prices its a total rip off to people to pay 8 bucks 6-7 bucks for a cup and bag

Harkins theaters are a great example of ever evolving and being adaptive to customers trending. The theatre in Tempe is one example of creating a wonderful customer feeling where the client is centerpiece to their evolution. Despite the virus, they are still providing good service and bringing back classic movies for a reduced rate. Seating is limited to protect everyone but things are being kept clean.

Harkins Tempe marketplace is one of my favorite places we love going to the movies and because of the coronavirus and the movies just opening we can see all the older movies for $5 a ticket I just love it.

Very CV 19 ready. Felt safe from the virus.Their popcorn is the best I have had. Friendly staff, ample parking.

They do a great job keeping you separated at least the 6ft apart which helps to relax and watch the movie!

Glad they are open. We have missed the movies. I thought it was strange that to buy your tickey you could use cash or card but if you wanted food or drinks it is card only. Also we got a large popcorn but were told no refills which is fine but why is still $8 if you cant get the refill.

I have fallen in love with this theater company. The seats are incredibly comfortable and I love the recliner seats. I really liked that, despite my allergy, I can find a variety of safe snacks and drinks. The overall presentation of movies is awesome, and the variety of movies is great. Definitely keep going to this location and its sisters.

It was actually very pleasant this time. No long wait at the concession and the people were actually nice. The assigned seating is much better than racing to find a seat in the dark. I also like that we can check in with the phone app and dont have to wait to buy tickets or print tickets.I would suggest a better way to stagger the start time of movies so you dont get so slammed at the concession stand. The previous time I waited 22 minutes at concession.

Lots of available movie times, discounts for seniors and they stay on top of it to keep it nice and clean.

What can I say? I LOVE this theater. Been going for over 10 years and Ive never once had a bad experience. Staff, great. Sound, fantastic! And if you like a little booze, hey they have a bar.

Fantastic theatre with ample seating and helpful staff. I saw Detective Pikachu at this theatre and Id recommend both the theatre and the movie. The bathrooms are also well maintained, and they have lots of snack options. Plus, this theatre is in a great location with plenty of other establishments nearby.

So since I was visiting from Cleveland, this was my first time here. It took me a minute to figure out how to get in. I love this Marketplace. The ambiance is lovely. The theater is clean with lots of choices. Even though the seats are not reclining, they are still comfortable.

Harkins has always been my preference in terms of going to the, almost nostalgic feeling, movie theatre. AMC tries but their prices dont reflect the fact that their medium is dying. Harkins seemingly understands that their days are numbered reflecting this understanding through cheaper prices on everything from tickets to concessions. This particular Harkins at Tempe Market Place just off of McClintock and Rio Salado Rd is very friendly and well staffed.

Very nice theater with a beautiful presentation outside in a great location with a multitude of things to do around it. Only reason I give it is than 5 stars are the seats. I can see the same movie at Cinemark to the street near my apartment and enjoy the movie in reclining seats.

Great location. Ample parking and multiple screens including full size Cinema Capri for first run movies. Snack bar is busy, but well staffes. Bathrooms are always tidy.

Great theater. No lines. Delicious popcorn. Great deal on a soda that can be refilled next time. I look forward to my next visit.

I love going to this theater. The only reason Im giving it a 4 star is because the seats need upgraded to the reclining seats. My daughter gets folded up in the seats and is at that awkward age where shes too big for the booster yet too small to sit in the seat without becoming a sandwich.

Harkins has always been my go to, the process are great for students looking to get out of the house for the night. They recently revamped their system and finally added a points program. Every $200 you spend you will get a $5 credit. You will have to sign up for the program with your phone number. They do not send out junk mail just notification every now and then about 2x points movies. Your number is also attached now to the popcorn perks(free medium). This is huge because bringing the dang shirt around for the past years was a pain. The popcorn perks are not unlimited, but you can use about 2 a month before your total for the year runs out.

I used to work here, so lets get that disclosure out first.This is possibly my favorite theater anywhere. Harkins may not be quite as fancy as some other theaters in terms of not having dining or some of the more extravagant concessions offerings, but the staff are fantastic (and its been long enough since I worked there that I doubt anyone recognizes me and I rarely recognize anyone) and the actual moviegoer experience is a high priority and it shows.Clean theaters, comfy seats, and nice big screens. The Cine Capri costs a pittance more than regular tickets, but it is a spectacle. Catch any big action flick in there and its a great time, even if the movie itself is lacking.

Navigating here by GPS in the Tempe Marketplace can be a bit confusing with all the twists and turns and the traffic. A tip is to put in Dave and Busters in your GPS and then continue driving straight which should then take you to the back of the theater.The good thing about this theater is yes, it does show all of the newest and greatest movies, and yes it is next to tons of amazing yummy restaurants!The best seating is the one row behind the handicap row which is where you can prop your feet on the railing or stretch your legs out. There is a walkway in front of you.If you wind up on the other seats, you might feel like you are on an economy seat on an airplane. It is a bit tiny and uncomfortable and you cant stretch out your legs. As such, I would recommend booking ahead on Fandango or an online movie ticket booking app, so you can snag your preferred seats.What about snacks? Like any other theater, they are expensive. I was charged about $3 for a bottle of water, so make sure to hydrate yourself before going. :)Overall, however, it is a decent theater to go to while youre at the Tempe Marketplace and you can have a good time there watching movies!

I dont know whos bright idea it was to build these shopping centers like this. Its a long walk for people with disabilities. From the parking lot to the theater is a long way. And in the bathroom, the handicap stall is always at the furthest end from the door in the ladies bathroom. And its the stall that most people want to use. Even though they dont have any disabilities.

CLEAN, FUN, SAFE! Great place to go. Hopefully one day they upgrade all the seats. Other then that! AMAZING!

Temperature was good about 77 degrees, bot too cold or hot.staff are always very friendly there. Food was good, nacho cheese was cold now and then so just make sure its warm. Small issue. But good location. Kept clean.

I really liked the chairs and had an overall good experience. But the staff did have trouble figuring out my questions about the movie I wanted to see such as if it was dubbed or subbed.

This theater is great I have been coming to this theater for about 25 years even though Im 19 years old and I can wholeheartedly say that everyone who has ever even driven by it should stop and actually go to it one of the best Harkins in my opinion hands down no competition No Cap keep it a stack RNs

I cant tell you how much i love this location. They are always so clean. i always seem to have great customer service. like always i was stuffing my face with popcorn. while i was waiting for my flat bread pizza, one of the employees notice i was already down on my popcorn and asked if i wanted to be topped off. It was great!

Price is pretty good and location is awesome, Tempe marketplace is a great spot to see a movie and browse the shops and food before or after. For some reason, both the times we went, the crowd has been REALLY noisy. Talking, laughing, commenting, bringing young children and toddlers into R rated movies with lots of violence. We also sometimes go to Alamo, which is more of a drive, but even with wait staff serving food and walking around, its quieter than Harkins.

This is a good theater. The employees are really great! Its funny to go back to the traditional seats after getting used to the recliner type! Still very comfortable and enjoyable!

The 7 1 surround was nice. Saw the Zilla film. LOVED the noise! Even on a small screen. The movies mostly dark, but for some reason, looked great on the screen. I almost thought it was projected in 35mm, it looked so good! If they ever get something in 70mm again, I may come back.6 bucks for a Cokes a little out there, but at least they let me have a refill.

Went here to see Avengers Endgame opening day after attending a tech seminar where they rented the theater for the pre-show meeting. This theater/lobby was packed but the concession line moved along at good speed. I could probably complain about the high cost of the popcorn and soda but the tech group sponsoring the event paid for everything. Overall this is a nice theater. Like most other modern theaters, the lobby has a bar, and they have a good selection of food. Ive been there a few times and will go again.

Quiet and cold. I forget cinemas are never a comfortable temperature. The Dolby is also not set up correctly, as the volume was high and the surround not effective, though I dont know if it can be set up correctly on small steep-incline screens.

Terrible experience. The ticket host provided good service and convinced us to watch one movie. Later during the movie with only 5 people in it, we were requested to laugh at a lower volume at a funny movie. But not only that, we were requested to not speak or comment about what we found funny. Was it because of that or was it because we were speaking on our native language? Intolerance at its’ worst. Thank you Harkins theater for ruining Date Night on a Tuesday and Tempe Marketplace. Comment, if you want complete silence while watching a funny movie, just stay at home, alone, in silence. Thanks to the manager for the reimbursement of the tickets. The movie stopped in the middle of the best part! We were watching The Joker and we had to wait for them to fix it. Then they was that lie to announce that the movie was not playing so we didnt get to finish the movie when it was in the middle of the best part.

What a great movie house! Great sound experience and a massive screen. Good matinee specials and even beer offered 2 dollars off during happy hr time. Staff friendly enough but concession prices very very high! But so is everywhere you go so cannot hold them to that. I really enjoyed watching Halloween yesterday afternoon and may return for another, weather depending and if I cannot golf.

This theater chain is one of the best in the world. As busy as it was today they have ample staff to handle the load. Everyone is smiling and helpful and the place remains clean. Its nice that you can get beer, delicious popcorn, lots of different drinks and hot food. I would highly recommend this Harkins or any other other.

The staff is really nice and can make some good small talk. Still theres a lot of couples here making the experience for me extra lonely but other than that its pretty good.

Ive seen several movies here and its always been good. The theater never seems to be full. Even when the seating chart says its almost sold out, hardly anyone in the seats. Not complaining, just seems odd.

Harkins is serious about showing movies! Keep up the great work. Love going there. However I would have been just fine leaving the bar out of it all, But its whatever at this point. I understand why though.

The theater was dirty and stunk like a cheap dive bar. I was charged twice for one popcorn and charged again for a soda when I was told it was going to be free because of the loyalty cup situation. The movie had no sound for the first three minutes then a loud blast of noise. Not cool. Not good.

Really nice Harkins location. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Not used to having to pick your seats ahead of time. Other Harkins locations dont do this but it was nice being able to pick really great seats.

I like this theater but the concession stand needs to be better. Sometimes when its slow they are not quick enough to help or greet. I get the lines when its busy but the usually fail when its not busy. I always find it clean and I love the popcorn.

I usually have no problem with this theatre. But I have to leave a negative review because my last visit (a couple weeks ago) was pretty bad. A friend of mine started feeling really nauseous in the middle of our movie, so I ran to the concession stand to get a bag so she wouldnt throw up on the floor/seats. I waited for the cashier to finish up with her customer, and I asked her for a bag. Now granted, Avengers Endgame had the entire lobby packed with customers and employees were stressed out, so I get that she was probably a bit stressed. I asked her for a bag, any bag, popcorn bag/grocery bag/ trash bag you name it. She offered me a flimsy box which obviously wouldnt hold vomit. I was annoyed that she didnt have a single bag to give me when I just told her my friend was going to throw up any second. She said to just get someone else to help me. There was obviously no one available to help because of the hectic Endgame crowd. Now Ive heard that Harkins has a strict policy on their popcorn bags which is whatever, I understand. But this couldve been handled a lot better, and lucky for you guys my friend was able to make it out of the theatre room without throwing up.Side note: I love the assigned seating, but I think it needs to be more obvious on the ordering screen which way the front screen is, or where the seats are actually located. I noticed that a few people were confused as to where they were supposed to sit and ended up sitting in someone elses seats.
