What a beautiful church. Right in Tampa. Holy Mother present is strong in this church. All of the beautiful art of stained glasses and status quite a talent.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is a very beautiful church. I went to the 5:30 pm evening mass. It was very sparse, but it was good.Though he was not the celebrant for the mass I attended, Father Zack was SO friendly after mass. He stopped me at the doors to say hi and introduce himself. He asked me where I’m from, what I do for a living, and tried to give me some suggestions of where I could work when I told him I’m currently unemployed due to Covid-19.I highly recommend attending this parish to see if it’s the right fit for you. :)

Was just walking by and happened to notice the anti-homeless benches at the church. Really sad that any church would have multiple benches available to the public(skinny people only bemches) yet they are set up to prevent the homeless from using the benches at night. WWJD??? SMH really sad in my opinion.

What a beautiful church!!! Father Zach did an excellent wedding mass for my cousins wedding. Kathy, the coordinator, was very professional and made sure that everything went smoothly! If you want a beautiful, Catholic mass amd wedding venue, I would highly recommend Sacred Heart!

This is one of the best Catholic Churches I have ever seen. The 22.5 tons music instrument was breathtaking to see and to hear. There was a tour after 12 pm service. Sean, the director of liturgy, did an amazing job explaining the brief history of the church and the music instrument. He is one of the rare people who can play that music instrument with a 5 layer keyboard. I loved this place.

Beautiful and welcoming church! We went to two Masses, one on Christmas Day, and it was incredible! The homilies were amazing on both days. Thankful that we got to experience a Mass in such a beautiful, touching church.

I got here once in a while if I dont go to my usual parish. Beautiful church and campus. During the warmer times, I definitely recommend pants and some kind of long sleeves because its typically very cold. Colder than most other churches.

I’ve never been to mass here (I’m Christian and do not attend Catholic services) BUT this church is a photographer’s heaven!! I would also say that the church’s service is pretty exceptional as they did not shoo us away or make us feel uncomfortable at all, because if this I actually will be checking out their service in the near future. I’ll update this review when I do!

We are not catholic but visited with our new son in law and his family. We really enjoyed the service, music, the beauty of the sanctuary. We may go again. We were pleasantly surprised and especially appreciated the interaction between the leaders and the congregation.

This church its like no other in Tampa. Super beautiful and very historic. Makes me wish I lived through the time it was being built. Im there every other Sunday and hopefully I will get married here. Id recommend this to any catholic in the area.

I could stay all day and stare at the beautiful stain glass windows. They have an amazing dome ceiling with beautiful art. Mass was wonderful.

I always try to find a beautiful church to visit when we vacation. Sacred Heart did not fail us! The inside was awe-inspiring! I have to say my favorite surprise was the St Francis statue outside. Parking was challenging but free on weekends. The detail and artwork in this church will make you feel like you are in a European Cathedral! While we attend a local church on a weekly basis. The sanctuary is decorated beautifully!

Breathtaking stained glass and statues. Franciscan Brother was kind. Gift shop was excellent and ladies working there were so helpful!

This is a beautiful place to go see just walking in youll feel the presence of the Lord. Ornate Windows ornate artwork ornate stone work in setting a sister beautiful bring you pick the camera to take a picture and come at en masse daily mass and I also have masses throughout the weekend as well youll really enjoy it.

Prepare for a welcoming experience. The Franciscan Friars make their mark on this Tampa landmark. Expect hospitality, gratitude, and sheer beauty from this 1900s building and amazing organ.

I am a fine art photographer who specializes in architectural interiors and landscapes. I visited downtown Tampa to photograph some of the late 19th century and early 20th century buildings. The interior of this church does not disappoint. While keeping American churches in perspective to the great cathedrals of Europe, this is an excellent church by Florida standards.

The BEST Catholic Church and place of worship in all of the Tampa Bay area. You would be hard pressed to find much better around the country. Absolutely love this church. There were so many people on Easter that people were lined up outside on the steps.

Beautiful, historic church. Currently served by the Franciscans, so its a very welcoming and kind place. As of this writing tours are available on the first Sunday of the month after noon mass. The docents are quite knowledgeable and friendly.

Visited today with my wife of 54 years. We were downtown Tampa to eat lunch and go to the Tampa Theater when we decided to go visit the church of our childhood. We spent about 1/2 hour there praying and lighting a candle. Still a beautiful church, relaxing and peaceful.As a student of Scared Hart Academy I sang in the boys choir back when the mass was in Latin. Brought back great memories.

Love this so much very detailed but there was a tour for kids my age and they were all being very loud and me and my fam could not focus praying

Beautiful church. We came here for Stations of the Cross and again for mass and both were beautifully celebrated with reverence and lovely music. Priests are Franciscan. Convenient to walk to if youre staying downtown.

Did a tour of the church during Tampas 130th birthday celebration. The tour was led by some very knowledgeable partitioners of the church. They went over the origins of the stained glass, the altar in the front and some of the people that helped bring this grand church to.pir city. The church itself is very open. It is very quiet and tranquil inside. I liked how the pews dated back to the beginning of the church.

Incredibly beautiful historic church! The sermon was entertaining and thought provoking. People actually were welcoming to me, a stranger. Better yet, people coming from church acted like Christians and actually greeted and helped two homeless vets out side; selling palm branch crosses.

The building is beautiful and has a very rich history. The priests and the parishioners are also all extremely friendly. They have everyone introduce themselves to the people around you before mass starts. It really feels like a community and my girlfriend and I are happy to call this our home parish.

The rating is for the stained glass windows, which are magnificent. I did not attend a mass. Jesuits practically invented the idea of evangelizing through beauty, and it shows here.
