Nice socially distant experience. Walking trails and a trip down the river on a friends boat. Liter free and people enjoying the outdoors. Definitely will do that again
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful park. So much beauty to be seen. Great place to meditate I promise. U can also get on the boats, water fairys or whatever they are called from the park.
We absolutely love living so near Lowry Park! We visit 3-4 times a week.It is beautifully maintained and always a great time to picnic, study, walk the tree covered trails, fish and there are playgrounds for my son. The trails are easily navigated and the peace among the citys chaos is refreshing!!!
Such a pretty park, wooded in spots with little bridges, walkways along/over shore of Hillsborough River. Play area, boat launch, ample parking.
We love Lowry Park. Lots of mature trees and nice shade, several playgrounds, several covered pavilions, and well-maintained grounds. Right on the water, too. Great for young kids to play, for social gatherings, or for anyone interested in a nice paved walking path that winds around the park. This is a family favorite.
It is a very nice way to spend the day. There is just so much to see and do at the Lowry Tampa zoo. I like seeing all the different kinds of animals. I always have a good time whenever I go there. I recommend buying the year pass so you can go as often as you like. You can interact with the animals.
Honestly its not a bad park. But I wish they would take care of the grounds a little more. Update it or something. The play area. Heck I didnt even know it existed for a long while because its so tucked off and away. But it is like a brand new play area!!Also it saddens me that they still have water taxi signs up. But the Water Taxi never comes up to that spot anymore. Its last stop is near Armature Works. Thats a along ways from this park. I wish they would bring it back up here. I would ride it so often!
Nice quiet park, plenty of covered pavilion space, good playground for young kids. There is a boat launch and short boardwalk by the river, plus a couple foot bridges over streams where you can see fish and turtles and maybe a gator if youre lucky. Only downside is the bathrooms do not have soap and you have to watch out for ants.
We always enjoy going to Lowry Park Zoo. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My small child really enjoyed there nighttime Halloween event.
Some of the wood walkways are in need of repair but it is still a nice place to picnic and enjoy nature.
Great park! Its also dog friendly. I take both of my dogs and have a great time. Aside from doggy bags, the board walk make this one of the best parks to head over in Tampa!
Rented pavilion 117 for a party. Have to pay extra for a bounce house. No outlets..... clean as a pavillion could be.... tables a little to close together was a little hard getting around with my sons wheelchair... definitely not set up for wheelchair access.. . Over all not a bad spot... just needs some remodeling and updating cause the age is showing
Beautifully cared for old city park and zoo
Nice quiet park love doing yoga on the water
Great place to take the family for fun and education even in these crazy times.
Small and not enough shade. Pretty though
See you soon for taste of tampa. Use shell gasoline
Beautiful park with a boat ramp, pavilions, grills, playgrounds, Hillsborough river views, restrooms, and plenty of shade. I bring my dog here to walk around and explore. Paved sidewalks crisscross the park. The flowing water ponds in the center are relaxing and you can spot turtles, birds, squirrels, and maybe even Gators and manatees in the river if youre lucky. Very well kept grass and very clean. Plenty of trash cans and people actually use them. Its not a very large park but its perfect for my needs. My dog seems to like it as well. Zoo Tampa is also right across the street. Check it out for yourself.
Great place to launch your kayak they are currently doing a major update of their dock
Its beautiful. There are so many different nooks and crannies to explore in this park. We had a birthday party here and Im considering throwing my daughters first birthday. Even in a rain storm, it was a lovely venue for the last party.
We rented a pavilion for a birthday party. The Pavilion had everything we needed. 4 grills, space large enough for 80 people 3 playgrounds within close proximity so we can watch our children play and power outlets.
Great Park beautiful view family oriented and you got the Zoo, across the street and if you like to go boating there is boat ramp..
Kids loved Zoo camp! Absolutely wonderful camp counselors!
Love this park! Its peaceful & well maintained. It has a paved walkway, as well as boardwalks along the river, big open grassy areas and plenty of benches and picnic tables.
Ive been coming to this park for years. always a nice time.
I love the park very beautiful
Nice park, isolated reasonable from road noise. Grills and water sources available
Great place to picnic and walk.
Its very entertaining and fun for my little sister.
Family favorite through the ages.
Lovely place but limited parking.
Used to be a quiet place to launch a boat and take a nice quiet cruise down the river. It is still great place to launch overflow parking is so far away, best to go there with a buddy just in case .
Love this place always have
Love to walked out in this area and have a fun time with my kids.
Okay but populated transients last time we visited.
Cool place for the heat wave on our townFamily Pet friendly
Its a nice park to walk through but please be very careful with kids near bushes where the ponds are because at one point my kids went playing in one of the bushes in a game of hide and seek and was chased out by a very large female alligator
Its a really lovely place to hang out
Awesome place for parties or just have a relaxing day with the kids. They also have a boat ramp there with access to the Hillsborough river free of cost a great place all around at no cost
This is a nice park. They have several shelters for parties. Sometimes parking is an issue because there is overflow parking from the zoo. Bathrooms arent great.
Trails to walk. Shady. But hard to get to for people from out of state
Nice, I like the ducks
Its very pretty by the water and peaceful
They have great walking/running paths and beautiful sites all under big trees that offer great shading. They also have 2 playground areas for kids.
Great park but boat ramp is closed
Love the boat ramp. Love being out on the water. Nature is so relaxing
Lowry Park is a good sized park with a nice path, multiple playgrounds, a boat ramp, and a couple of docks. It has a lovely view of the river and you can walk across the street to the zoo.
Fun for all ages
Went for a quick afternoon outing with my kids, as I do other times. The restroom needs to be lit, the lights were not on inside. And people need to learn to pickup after themselves, there was garbage all tossed around the ground surrounding a trash can next to one of the shelters. People like that mess it up for the rest of us.
The kids play area is very dirty ...they dont seems to care .
Very pretty and clean
This is a public park that is next to the Tampa Zoo. It is much larger than what you initially see. On the side that has a zoo in it, There is a small outdoor theater with bench seating. It is among the tree, so is comfortable even in the summer. The pavilions are easy to rent and come equipped with electricity, grill stations, and garbage. If a pavilion is not rented, it is to quite ok to use them. The bathrooms are slightly better than typical public parks. There are multiple playgrounds interspersed throughout the park. The grounds vary quite nicely, and are well kept. The local homeless are non intrusive, kind people, but prefer to stay invisible. They do use the facilities at night, but keep it clean.
Beautiful walking paths. Lovely park.
Great park with great Hillsborough River views!!
Great park but the kids playground area need some remodeling!
Great place too introduced to our youth, Nature and Natural ways animals live.
Its a nice place to sit and walk by the river, whatch the boats go by and look at the beautiful waterfront homes and the boats that go by. That is very peaceful for me. Its also popular with parents for their kids birthday parties. Weekends are great there if you have children. Lots of kids to play with. Weekdays are great if you want a peaceful place to get away outside.
Great place
Nice place for a walk.
Its a great educational and fun place to take the kids/grandkids
Underrated gem of a park. Right along the river. My family and I have seen gators, manatees and numerous birds. In the evening you can sometimes hear the monkeys from the nearby zoo.
Its a peaceful safe place for my dog Huff and I to walk and enjoy this beautiful weather.
I like this park! Great memories!
Such a beautiful place. Great facilities
Amazing as Usual. One the best nature spots in the heart of Tampa. Beautifully embraced by the waters of Hillsborough river.
I love this place. It has update a lot since the last time I saw it.
Descent place for birthday parties an nature walls
Love to go and do exercise great place
Great park with lots to doHuge play area. Dock for boating. Walking trails.
Large park with big areas to walk, ride, fish, or launch a boat.
My cousin throws his companys Christmas parties out there every year Love the place very kid-friendly as well
Nice park. Use it mosty to launch our boat.
There are a lot of ant holes. Ants were biting us up. Spacious and had decent playground equipment.
The actual park looks really good for walking and picnics and maybe birthdays but what I went for with my grandson was fishing. For that not so good. The piers are messed up, maintenance does not keep up with them and to catch a fish well we spent over 2 hrs and nothing. So for that reason I gave it a 3 star.
Very friendly associates with great hospitality. Great animal exhibits.
A nice place to take family for a day outside to enjoy some fresh air, or perhaps your pets. There are exercise stations around the area and showers near the front.
Shady walking trails, water views and great playgrounds for kids.
Cool place to walk your dog along the water. Plenty of trees and shade. Bathrooms. Picnic tables etc. You can also go fishing.
Omg. Phenominal park. Beautiful. If Fairies exist...they live here. Lol
Lots of nature! Beautiful paths and boardwalks. Lots of areas for family gatherings. Word of caution the boardwalks are in desperate need of restoration. HELLO! Tampa parks and Rec! Lets get this park in tip top shape!
Great place to take the family or just you and the animals. Very peaceful.
Nice place to walk. 1.26 miles around the trail.
I love Lowry Park. I come here to meditate on a regular basis even though the Hillsborough River is fairly well polluted. The squirrels are a bit too friendly because people keep feeding them. But as I do not hurt animals I think its wonderful to see them.
Cute park with walking trail and a few different playgrounds. Tons of benches and covered pavilions. My kids loved it
Very nice park, clean restrooms and picnic areas
Very clean. Great walking path & trails
So full of nature and a good uphill/downhill walk
Been going there since i was a kid
