The entire aquarium was thoroughly sanitized and you follow a trail of school of fish stickers one way. This was one of the prettiest and well organized aquariums I had been to in a while. So beautiful! I highly recommend this aquarium. 10/10
I purchased a membership online today just trying to find something to do. Great experience with the kids! They loved it! The Dolphin cruise was sold out for the day, so well go back again next weekend for it. I like the splash pad outdoors, but we missed the last reservation time slot, so again next weekend. The kids and I really enjoyed touching the stingrays, jellyfish and starfish. I just wish they had more in the shark exhibit, because we were really looking to see more shark species. OVERALL, great time and I appreciate all of the hand sanitizing stations throughout the aquarium.
Awesome experience for the whole family. There were a few interactive exhibits where the kids got to touch different sea animals. They loved it. I would highly recommend this. There is a splash park outside for smaller children.
Great time parking come up to loop under bridge around loop! to 3 oclock and first right at the light..Other than that we had a great time food is limited to burgers hotdogs and fries and Turkey burgers pizzas and juices snacks and bar outside with shops and water park, burgers had no seasoning..
Very well staffed and set up. Plenty of sanitizer stations and entry is staggered to help maintain social distancing. I dont feel like anything is compromised during the visit due to the pandemic. Would definitely suggest getting your ticket online versus when you arrive, cheaper and a lot shorter line to get in. You are still able to touch several of the fish they have and the aquarium isnt overly crowded.
The aquarium is such a great place! They had a lot of different animals and the bird were up so close. They also are practicing social distancing well and enforcing mask wearing.
Cost is too high in relation to what they have to offer. No decent food options. Required masks even when social distance guidelines were met both inside and out. I will not return.
We had a great time here! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The layout was easy to understand and we took our time getting through. They had a number of displays that were informative and interesting. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful aquarium. They followed safety procedures for covid. Ticket prices were great! Worth going. Here are some nice shots I took.
Even tho covid has changed a few things .... my fiance and I it was our first time . We absolutely loved it .... 5 starts would totally come back again.. ..few hands on type touch tanks but definitely family fun if you have kids .... 5 stars will definitely be a repeat if your local as we are from Orlando or anyone from other states heading to cruises its right beside the port stop in ...... definitely recommend
This is a very entertaining place. There’s amazing marine life and mangroves. If you wish, you can go and watch dolphins in their wild habitat as part of your admission. They offer food, gift shop and water park for kids. Make sure you park immediately next to the aquarium at their official parking.
Had not been for years. Went on Saturday and really enjoyed our time there. Loved the display of artwork made out of Ocean trash. We all need to do better keeping the oceans clean. Just a wonderful time.
Took my son for his 6th Birthday, he loved it. Love that its mostly indoors, we went on a rainy day and we were still able to enjoy. All the employees we came into contact with were all so nice.
Wonderful day at the aquarium. Started out diving in the big tank. Great experience with sea turtle, sharks & lots of beautiful fish. The staff was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend the experience for anyone. Then wandered through the many exhibits. All the animals appear very well cared for and are healthy. Fun place for kids of all ages.
My daughter, girlfriend, and I visited the aquarium today with family and friends. We had an awesome time. There was so much to see but dont worry. The aquarium staff are very attentive to make sure that your experience is nothing but their utmost priority. Plenty of water life to see and more. Definitely will be visiting next time Im in Florida. Thank you!
Very nice and compares favorably to many other world-class aquariums. Extremely helpful staff... Apparently all named Hailey or looking like a Hailey.
Had a lot of fun at the aquarium and the kids loved it!! Worth the price definitely and theres lots to do as well!! 10/10
Not into the mask mandate at all, but that will go away and cant be held against the aquarium. Laid out very well and the 500,000 gallon tank is phenomenol. The lighting on the exhibits is very cool
An awesome place! This aquarium is very well done and impressive in the amount of detail they put into each exhibit. We enjoyed our time and would recommend!
I was impressed by how lively the animals were! I loved the atmosphere. Probably the best one Ive been to in awhile.
This was the most impressive experience I have had at an aquarium! The have made numerous exhibits simulate natural flordia habitats with the birds, fish, and other wildlife. It is child friendly, incuding a play ground and splach pad. They have an art exhibit, which uses plastic to depict underwater features. Through out the aquarium, a centeral theme is developed about stewardship of the environment and the cost of plastics to marine life. Would be nice to see if the aquarium will ban single use plastic from there concssions in the near future! Keep up the great work!
Staff were outstanding, so informative and professional. Everyone was wearing masks and social distanced. They had arrows so you could only go one way, super easy to follow. My family from out of town had a great time! I only live 10 minutes away, so I’ll be back soon!
This place was allot of fun for me and my daughter. Highly recommended.
I went for my first time today and had so much fun! The staff was so nice and I appreciated how much they were implementing social distancing. The animals and fish? Amazing. So jealous I dont get to hang out with the otters all day. Best Thursday ever!
This is so much for the kids and adults. We loved learning about the animals and environment. We got to touch a sting ray and meet their turtle mascot. I feel safe with masks and socially distancing.
Social distancing as best as possible. Good exhibits
What a great experience we had today. The whole staff was excellent . Special shout out to Ken for keeping us safe in Madagascar area from the birds. Gift was great helping us pose with the penguin. And finally Ryan with helping get our picture package. Thanks again all for a wonderful day.
Wonderful place to spend time with the family. It is completely kid friendly, with various touch exhibits and splash playground. Some of the exhibits were closed because of Covid-19, but the main attractions were open. Staff was absolutely friendly and eager to help. Sanitation of high touch surfaces is constant
Very nice! There arent any dolphins but what they do have is very well presented. I definitely enjoyed my visit.
Absolutely loved this aquarium! Was very large, and loved all of the displays to read to the kids as we went along. The kids also loved the splash pad! With COVID,they are currently doing reservations for 30 minutes in the splash pad and wiping it down for 15 minutes between sessions. We got there at 10 and then did splash pad at 12:15. We had plenty of time to see everything and the aquarium was not busy at all.
Love this place. We’ve had annual passes for a couple of years and come here pretty regularly. It’s a really well thought-out aquarium with a good variety of fish. The kids always love coming here and it’s a great way to kill a couple of hours.
Expensive and I expected to be there longer. There honestly were less exhibits than we expected.Besides that, it was a beautiful place to visit if you have the extra cash and less than a couple hours to spend. The animals displayed were enormous and healthy-looking. Birds roam freely upstairs the fish are like dinosaurs.I personally believe this would be a better place to go if you have kids, since there are parks for the kids to play at afterwards. But, if you go the most fun youll have is trying to spot the most seahorses.
It was awesome! The exhibit were very nice. The Madagascars were really cool. The otters were so cute. They played with us for a while. The employees were so nice and friendly. We had a great time!
This is a beautiful aquarium with so much to see.
Our familys first trip to this aquarium and we had so much fun. There are a lot of great exhibits and specimens. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. What they have done to ensure a good time during this pandemic is great. We also highly recommend the splash pad for the kids. We look forward to our next visit!
I attached some of the cool shots I got during my visit! I visited the Aquarium as part of my graduation celebration. It was amazing! Hopefully, they add a penguin exhibit soon!
Really amazing place to take your kids to. We had so much fun and there is a lot to see and do here! Highly recommend it!
Enjoyed my visit!! Not too crowded! And I got to touch/pet a stingray!!
Fun day with cool animals and fish to see. Staff was knowledgeable and provided lots of information.
This was a first time visit for us and it was nice. It only took us a couple hours to do it all with the exception of splash pad. During the Covid stuff most of the stuff was available to do. The kids had a great time and we did too. Dont plan on this being an all day thing but definitely worth a trip. Oh yeah, parking is passed the aquarium on the right. We couldnt find it either initially.
Lots of fun for the entire family, very organized and they are practicing and enforcing safety during this covid pandemic.
Great place for children to explore and learn.Aubrey ( my princess )enjoyed it.
Did a dive in the shark tank with my brother for his birthday. Amazing experience that we would come back and do again for sure! Staff is super nice and the aquarium and outside exhibits are really cool. The jelly fish section is quite extraordinary! Equipment provided fit great and was clean :)
Amazing, perfect. My 10yr, 9yr and 7yr old kids loved it.
The Florida Aquarium was by FAR one of the coolest places, and aquariums I have ever been to, definitely the best in Tampa. I Took my fiance here a few weeks ago, and we had the best time, the animals were well taken care of, the place was clean, and it really wasnt a bad price for two adults and what you get to do. No time limit, there was a place to eat, staff was friendly, restrooms were clean, covid safety measures being followed and enforced, hell we even got stuff at the gift shop for the little ones. Highly recommend you see this place while you are in town. 5/5 would come back and recommend again.
Every time I am in Florida I hit this place up great family fun and lots of cool creatures to see
The aquarium was the perfect place to go during Covid. Masks were a requirement and staff members were prevalent reminding patrons to wear them properly. Children 3 and older were required to wear them inside and out Social distancing was reminded and encouraged. There were hand sanitation stations everyone with announcements reminding you to use them about every 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And they were cleaning constantly. I felt very safe taking my granddaughter there during our time slot.
Its very clean. The staff is wonderful. The exhibits are well put together and exciting. Altogether a very fun experience. Its about 2 hours or more if you take youre time.
I LOVED the entire experience!!!!My so is Autistic and loved every single moment. Truly a time to remember and visit again.
This is a cute aquarium that is pretty spacious inside. The exhibits are very impressive, and our daughter loves to visit to see the animals, particularly playing with and feeding the stingrays.Ticket prices are pretty reasonable, but the line (pre-COVID) can be obnoxious. Regardless, the aquarium is in a BEAUTIFUL location right next to the cruise ships and minutes from downtown. The only reason for four stars is solely because Ive been to Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ which was amazing! Honestly, I wouldve expected the Camden Aquarium to be in Tampa because of what it offered: a tunnel within the Caribbean Current, Sea Turtle Cove, and the infamous Shark Bridge. But for Tampa, this is still a nice aquarium with several exhibits to educate, interact and entertain.
Great aquarium. Great time, my babies and me!
My husband and I arrived before opening as he was participating in the morning reef dive. For $160, he was given instructions, full diving kit and 30 minutes in the tank with two dive masters and another diver. He had a marvelous time.He finished his program close to 11 Am about the time a hoard of school children arrived. Got our hands stamped and then we left. Went to Ulele’s for a fabulous lunch. Returned about 2:30 and enjoyed another two hours perusing all the exhibits.Currently featured is a wonderful art exhibit made entirely of plastics collected in the ocean. See my photos. As a diver, this is something important to me. So happy to see the focus on this. It affects us all.The staff here is excellent. The bathrooms are clean. There is a cafe, a gift shop and an outdoor area. There is also a splash pad which I’m sure is nice when it’s hot.Highly recommend the aquarium to visitors.
Highly Recommend the Florida Aquarium!!! They not only have an amazing staff who is extremely nice, but they will also help you through the whole process. It is also an absolutely beautiful venue! Its perfect for weddings, parties and more! Check them out!
Had a great time. Went for my friends birthday and she loved it. Could use more sharks and add dolphins and mermaids.
Great place for the kids and adults️
Had a fantastic time at the aquarium for my birthday. The staff were all friendly and helped me maintain social distancing and there was plenty of hand sanitizer around. Loved the various exhibits and animals that were there, all of them seemed well taken care of and it was an enriching experience. Definitely a trip you wanna make if you have the time to!
An enjoyable afternoon date with my husband. The free downtown trolley dropped us off right at the aquarium from our hotel. We enjoyed petting the jellyfish most of all! Also the young alligators were really cool. My only complaint is no coffee was available due to COVID apparently. And why is there only one otter? He was sleeping when we were there sadly.
Had an amazing time so much to see. They have so many different beautiful animals to see there is even an area to touch jellyfish and sting rays. Would definitely go again. And my advice would be to pay for your tickets online, you don’t have to wait in line when you get there
This place is soo cool! My daughter loves all the tanks and all the big fish you can get up close and personal with. We went during the pandemic and they really put alot of effort into making sure everyone has a clean safe experience by cleaning after every reservation window. They also handed out masks to everyone who didn’t have one. I can wait to bring my baby back for the splash pad! See you soon and thank you for taking care of our water Florida Aquarium!!!
This was a great outing for adults and kids. Very reasonably priced for what you get to experience! Highly recommended!
The Florida Aquarium is awesome. It is so much fun to watch up and close and be personal with the great selection of sea life in the Tampa Bay.I recommend a visit or two or more to the Florida Aquarium. I mean really where else can all these sea life be avail in a small place than at the Florida Aquarium. So much sea life and animals to watch!Really fun! Thanks
My husband and i came for a day date. Right now TFA is doing a “pay by the day” deal where you look at the calendar and choose the price you want to pay based on the cost it is that day. For example, last Saturday was around $38 but this Saturday was $19.95 and next week is around $22-27. We chose the least expensive option. The website said that you MUST make a reservation online but there was a very long line of ppl waiting at the ticket counter. Our tickets were for 10:30 but it wasn’t an issue that we got there around 1:30.Parking was...interesting. There’s an “official” Aquarian parking ( I think it’s $10-$12 ) and then there’s the “port” parking which is a large building parking and it’s around $4-8) but it wasn’t open. It might not be open bc the cruise ships aren’t departing due to COVID? And there’s these “fake” aquarium Parker’s who aren’t affiliated with the aquarium at all, even tho their signs say they are and they’re about $10 too. We are cheap-os and decided to find street parking...which wasn’t bad if you’re willing to walk but it the signs claim it’s only 3 hrs. They check your bags at the entrance and that was easy. Scanning our tickets were easy and flawless too. You go up the elevator to get to the first exhibit.Aquarium staff were not enforcing masks and were not enforcing social distancing but I’d say 95% of ppl followed masks rules but not a lot of ppl social distanced. My husbands favorite part was the 3 panel panoramic, where the shark was and my favorite were the sweet ducks and birds. I also thought the mascots were adorable too! We were stopped by a guy to take our photo but then the “program stopped working” so he was unable to take it which was kinda disappointing. Our visit wasn’t very educational, as there weren’t a lot of facts about the animals and the call-in guided tour was no longer working even tho the sign was still up.I also thought it was pretty warm in there. I was mostly surprised by the paper towels in the restroom rather than air dryers...We were getting towards the end and my husbands like “wait! This is it?! That was so small!” I was also underwhelmed and not impressed. It seems so tiny and there are only two sharks and 0 dolphins. I got maybe 1500 steps in?Im thankful we only paid $20/ea for tickets and didn’t pay for parking bc we were done in about an hour.
Loved the art displays using the trash collected from the ocean. Staff was extremely helpful.! Interesting exhibits! Hedgehog and handler was a great addition.
Such a nice place to take kids. It was not crowded at all. the staff was very friendly and sweet. The only thing I did not like was the food, I ordered a hamburger which was almost $10 and it was just that, a hamburger and a bun. No tomato, lettuce pickle nothing.
This was and is the best aquarium. I made last minute plans and brought 4/5 of my kids and we really enjoyed the experience. It was so educational, informative, the animals are beautiful and well taken care of. You can tell the staff and specialist really truly love and appreciate what this planet offers and all the living creatures on this planet. The environment was great even during Covid-19 season. I know the attractions that were closed get lit when things were normal. I really can not wait until Covid-19 dies down to the point where we can try to get back to normal and enjoy these attractions again. Im definitely coming back with the whole family in the upcoming days.
Great aquarium right downtown. If you are in the area, you should definitely check it out. Deep discount if you are member of another zoo or aquarium. Plan on at least 2 hours - we spent 4! River otters stole the show!
What can I say except its amazing. Being up close to so many unique fish and aquatic wildlife. I could spend hours watching the sharks swim or the lemurs play. The whole place was very clean well organized
Wonderful experience. All staff members were so friendly and seemed to enjoy answering my many questions. All animals and fish seem happy and loved. I saw many caretakers going above and beyond.
Wonderful experience, even for adults. There was so much to see! I especially loved the Sting Rays, Puffer Fish, and the fish that reminds me of the Rainbow fish book (photo #2). Of course the sharks were the best part, that goes without being said. The outdoor area with birds and alligators was a nice surprise. There were some really gorgeous birds and fish I’ve never seen before. There’s a wonderful outdoor area as well where you get to eat ice cream facing the water. Definitely recommend.
Beautiful aquarium; a magical and educational experience! All the animals are well taken care of, this place having the most beautiful aquariums that I have ever seen. Prepare to be completely immersed in the world of the oceans when coming here.
Great place for kids and adults. Staff available throughout the aquarium to answer questions. Take the time to read the placards and you will leave having learned something new.
Nice place to visit if you have young kids. Its clean, informative and the staff is very friendly.
Beautiful aquarium with multi species of fish and some animal wildlife of Florida waters. Pretty much self directed but multi knowledgeable staff are available. The various species are wonderful to behold. Really good for children also. Buy tickets online and receive Free parking!! Various things available in the gift shop.
Good time. Sad to say didnt get to see Cletus
Amazing experience! I highly recommend it for both adults and kids. Its more than just an aquarium; there are plenty of land animals too, like lemurs, tortoises, birds, etc. My favorite parts included the super playful otters, the stations where visitors could touch the stingrays and jellyfish, and the fact that staff answered all questions happily and clearly.
The Florida Aquarium is a wonderful place to go! They have a wide variety of fish, sea turtles, sharks, sting rays and much more. The do an excellent job at informing about Floridas mangroves and coral reefs. I have a year membership and I cant wait to continie going back!
Excellent Aquarium... Was much more than I thought. Very nice... For kids & adults... Splash pad for kids, right next to outdoor bar for adults... Highly recommended experience.
The plastic Art was awesome. I love they made something so beautiful out of something so wasteful and dangerous. Its a full scale visual of the impact we have on own environment and it puts it right there in your face. We had a blast here.
The dolphin experience was a great and safe family outing! Plenty of room for social distancing. Boat was really clean. We were lucky - the dolphins chose to show themselves. Moms and babies!!
Nice place with some descent exhibits. Unfortunately missing the wow factor, espeecially considering the 30 dollar cost of entry. Good place for the little ones.
Wonderful experience everytime I come here.
I have a two year old and we went on the weekday in the morning. Was absolutely wonderful! Will be going back as she gets older and grows as will her curiosity for knowledge.
WoW Very Cool! Clean and Nice place - fantastic fishes! The Good thing No Dolphins or Large Fishes in small Tanks!Everything is so close you can even touch! Enjoyed the afternoon!
A great stop in Tampa, good for an easy 2-3 hours. Lots of fish and birds. Fresh water and salt water exhibits. They have an outdoor splash pad and playground area, good food and nice gift shop.
Love this aquarium! I grew up going to the Newport aquarium in Kentucky/downtown Cincinnati and always been told that was one of the better ones but I have to say this one here in Florida is pretty awesome! I love how close you can get to the animals and how free they are & how they interact with each other! Half off admission for being a crunch fitness member holder too
It was fun. Expensive. We were only there for 2 hours and got to see and do everything, except the splash pad and we didn’t pay the extra fee for the penguins. My kids enjoyed it, I’m not sure we would do it again.
What an amazing experience. Took my boys (9+6)(oh and 50 lol) and Im pretty sure the eldest one may have had the greatest time. The most memorable day before school event weve done so far. THANK YOU aquarium and your Catamaran dolphin cruise for all of your patronage and everything you do to spread knowledge about the beautiful whole other world that surrounds us.
Absolutely wonderful aquarium! Even has touch stations for jellyfish and anemones! All for only $30, and worth every penny!
Went for member event. It was my families, first outing after stay at home order. It was well run and very organized with plenty of space for distancing as there were limited numbers. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. A great returning to normal experience. We have happily returned and will continue to do so.
First time visitor, I am well impress with the variety of sea life creatures, very impressive jelly fish, I love the neon colors, their slow motion and lights create a beautiful rhythm!Their tank has big sharks, barracudas, rays, Goliath grouper and many more, I enjoy a tunnel, it let you see and pass through under the tank! After enjoying all windows, the aquarium takes you to a botanic garden where they reproduce the swamp life, I was impress with the sound of a duck and the baby alligators.A giant shark jaw shows those extinct animals.Lovely experience!
I loved it. It was well set up for social distance while maintaining an easy flow.
This is a really beautiful aquarium. The environment is friendly and the food in the restaurant is great. I have not had a problem with this location.
The kids had a blast! They loved the sharks seahorses alligators torching the stingrays! There favorite thing was the water pad!
Great family activity with many exhibits to enjoy. Awesome playground and splash pad for the little ones!
