This is a awesome place to relax without that many people at all I suggest that you do not go there so I can keep it to myself

Small peaceful outdoors location relatively untouched but thats about all it has going, as theres nothing else to see. The park was so small that I could hardly distinguish it from the surrounding neighborhoods. The key attraction is this natural (?) shallow spring that looks cool and will probably hold your attention for four entire minutes. Theres also a super busy two way road and highway nearby so its not exactly the most quiet place either. Anyhow, this park might be worthy if youre living in the area or maybe passing by this road specifically but thats about all.

Didnt even get out to go to the place. The place is nothing like the pictures. Disappointed. The place is not clean and there were no personnels at the site. They have a plastic floating on the river. Didnt see any designated parking places. Not recommended.

I was so disappointed, in the pictures it looks big and the waterfall looks beautiful but in real life the waterfall is not even knee high to me. I dont recommend it. Google needs to update the pictures they have online.

I checked out this little park with my dogs. Some of the online stuff about this park gave me the impression that there was more to it. The spring is interesting, right there in a neighborhood on the opposite side of the street from the Hillsborough River. I was bummed out that you cannot go in the spring. I did not want to dive in, but maybe just walk through the stream. I would not go out of my way to see this park. But if you are nearby it is worth checking out to see this little spring.

This spring is awesome! Nice quite place, beautiful plants & foliage. I would have given 5 . However, as of late there have been some homeless toochi (or spice) smokers gathering now & then; its not a constant, though. GREAT spot for a little picnic or something, as well.

What a little gem of a park located in the heart of Tampa and only 100 yards from the Hillsborough river. A small spring bubbling out of the ground would be a wonderful way to cool off in the summer but unfortunately swimming is not allowed.

Purity Springs Park is a serene park, whose main feature is a small, clear spring whose water empties into the Hillsborough River. It is usually nice and quiet, but is frequented by homeless folk. No swimming is permitted in the spring.

This park is a hidden gem of Tampa. There are no benches, picnic tables, or trashcans so bring your blanket and remember to pack in, pack out. The spring is tranquil and worth a short visit.

Its neat to see this spring of clear water, the little cascades and the stream. However, the city should do more with the park. Perhaps a pathway with a quaint footbridge, some landscaping, some parallel parking spots and make sure it stays clean and safe.

Unique park, nestled amongst the hustle and bustle. Sulpher Springs jewel, this beautiful spring runs crystal clear water to the river several yards away and across the street. Not much to do but stop, breath, listen to the waterfall, and thank the Creator for the beauty we have all around us. Worth a short stop just to recharge your inner self for a few minutes

Alot of homeless people take baths and drink water at the spring. The city of Tampa put a 4 foot fence around the spring trying to keep the homeless from using the spring. I think it was a very bad choice of the city of Tampa to do such thing. The fence was taking down by the homeless people and now the are enjoying the spring.

So neat! Ive been visiting family in the area for decades and never new it existed. Its not something to drive out of the way for but if youre passing by you should stop and check it out. Its low-key without many people around. Kinda like a little park but with this cool little spring that empties out to the Hillsborough River.

There is a lot of litter at this park. I only noticed one trash can and that was across the street on the river side. That being said, purity springs is really cool to see. My husband brought me here years ago when we first started dating and we would visit periodically when we lived in the area. We recently brought our kids to see it for the first time. Its a great way to introduce natural springs to a pre-schooler. We saw ducks wading in the spring. There is an open area for running and a steep incline around the spring pool that my daughter enjoyed running up. Across the street is Hillsborough river with a bench. There is no playground. Normally there is nobody else there but I have noticed people will occasionally park and sit in their car for a few minutes then leave.
