Really nice park, I love the nature trails and especially love the boardwalk. You can see all kinds of animals, they have a couple parks, you can rent kayaks, there are outdoor exercise areas along the trails. Its beautiful. There are a lot of people out and quite a bit dont wear masks so if you dont want to be around a lot of people I suggest going as soon as the park opens or a couple hours before it closes.

I have an annual park pass for Hillsborough County Parks so this gives me access to all the parks. While I typically visit Lake Park, Lettuce Lake was on my bucket list and after visiting for the first time, I was quite impressed. I took a walk on all of their trails and it was super refreshing. I’ll have to come back again on a less humid day to hit the trails a bit more! Definitely recommend!

Awesome park. Note there is an entry fee of 2 bucks per car. No biggie. But this park has an awesome bike trail. You can rent canoes to use on the rivers within the park. There is a nature boardwalk that spans a good amount of the park in which you can see lots of work life out there.. be cautious of spider webs and bees tho.And lastly there is a small information museum/kiosk that has maps of the area/park and the wild life and foliage the resides in the area!Well worth a visit by yourself or with your family or friends️

We always enjoy the stroll on the boardwalk at Lettuce Lake Park. Today (mid-March) we saw 5-6 small alligators, the largest being about 4’ long. Sometimes they are quite close to the boardwalk so you can see them well. Today, one was swimming slowly toward us, and then circling away.We saw many water birds from a Great Blue Heron down to small robin-sized wading birds. Many White Ibises and smaller ibises. There were several taupe colored wading birds with long straight sturdy beets and red feet. They poked their open beaks into the bottom of the water while using a red foot to stir the mud nearby as if to disturb their prey. I wish I was good at identifying birds so I could tell you the name. The only animals we saw other than birds and gators were squirrels, turtles, and fish.Mostly the boardwalk is shaded or partly shaded by the cypress trees. There is a tall observation tower on the lake. We were hot today so we stayed at the bottom where the tower shaded the deck. The trail was about 1.5 miles round trip and there was a nice clean restroom where we parked. There are also picnic tables, some covered around the park.At one point we saw a rack of orange canoes or kayaks which were probably for renting, but we didn’t go over to investigate.

The trails are pristine! Being new to Tampa, we liked the little native plants exhibit by the (closed for COVID) ranger/welcome center. We brought our dog, and although pups aren’t allowed on the boardwalk, she enjoyed the other trails. The nature trails off the main, paved spots were quiet and cool on a Sunday morning. Plenty of space to physically distance throughout. We thought that the lake would be a more prominent part of the experience than it was, which was fine. Maybe won’t bring the dog next time so we can check that out.

An amazing place to visit for a great price. For a $2 per car entry fee (cash only), you get access to a great park. Boardwalk, paved loop, large fields, play ground, pavilions with grills, fishing areas, canoe and kayaking rentals (for an additional fee) and even a breathtaking view from a tower on the boardwalk...this place has it all. Dont forget to stop by the history center that gives you a little history of the area and information on the plants and animals of the area. There is also a place in the center to sign in as an individual or a group and a place to list the different animals youve seen while walking the many trails. Once you complete the boardwalk, paved trail or both, there is a photo station to take your picture showing you survived Lettuce Lake Park. This is a great place for people of all interests and age. Pets are welcome on a lease of course.

This a good park for a quick visit. It has a big boardwalk that really takes us right over the river. You can see lot of birds around the boardwalk. There a watch tower on the boardwalk which gives a descent view of the river and greenery around. You can see lot of Floridas native alligators from the boardwalk. The only negative think abt this park is lack of clear directions on the way. While inside the park there are very less markings or direction boards. Also there is not much information avaliable abt the things that can be done at the park . There are shelters but not all of them are at single locations. Shelters are spread across the park also not all shelters would necessarily be near a park or washrroms. Another downside is anywhere we could not see any camp grounds. So I think camping is not allowed in this park not 100 percent sure though on this!!!! Also just to add currently visitor information center is closed for construction work.overall this is pretty decent place to relax in an afternoon and enjoy the natures serenity...
