I LOVE this water park! An awesome experience for anyone who decides to come here. The water slide rides are amazing, and theres even a pool with a 10 foot cliff that you can jump off of. They have a lazy river where you can just float around in, and a wave pool as well. Definitely a must-do if you love water parks.
I love this place. Its my home away from home. Well kept and just tons of fun. Has a little something for everyone. Lines can be super long on super hot days but I still love it. Love that you can walk and not burn your feet cause they have areas of water to cool your feet. Once kids make the height, its a gem.
Had a great day! Felt safe with wearing masks in designated areas. Social distancing! Wasn’t real crowded either. My twin grandsons enjoyed themselves as much as I did being with them!️
About 1/3 of the slides were closed. I know it is at the end of season... the park was well marked with the 6 ft guide 85% of the visitors respected the social distancing. There are some things I wish were told to me up front, like the park closed at 5 instead of 6, all day dinning only lets you get 1 bottle of water an hour. You have to asked for napkins, but they should at least give you 2 per meal. I wish the changing room was nicer, maybe add some hooks so my dry clothes dont touch a wet bench. Overall had a nice peaceful pleasant day.
Clean park with a nice variety of water slides to keep you busy all day. If you dont mind waiting in lines, which is completely normal, the large slides are definitely worth the wait. As with most theme parks food and drinks were a little pricey but what do you expect. Good place to take the kids on a hot day.
Ive been here numerous times. It is a great little park. Lines were not long at all, but have been here when there has been long wait times. Be prepared! They have bathrooms and gift shops and drink/snacks at different locations. Stay hydrated!! Great for kids to splash around as well as adults to enjoy a thrill. Well worth the 2 park pass if you live in the Tampa Bay area.
Was having a great time until you cant even get something to drink without a mask on even if you have a medical condition. Then the people say say see thats how you do it give them a little power and theyre going to do whatever they can to keep that. So I have to risk my medical condition just to get something to get something to drink. Im done paying to be disrespected
Park was pretty empty due to covid which was really nice, but unfortunately that also meant that several rides were closed. A lot of the gift shops and food spots were also closed, so if you are planning to go during the time of covid, I definitely recommend bringing lunch in a cooler. Coolers arent allowed in the park but there is plenty of space at the complimentary picnic pavilion.
Like most water parks the water and smell of chlorine chemicals drives me nuts. But it’s a fun place to be when surrounded by friends & family. Smoked Turkey legs are to die for!
Its a small park. It was clean and since itsthe end of the season it was wonderfully uncrowded. Two rides were closed, most restaurants were closed, and when we finally decided to have cocktail, the bar was already closed, more than an hour before the park closed. Good day, but could have been better.
I had an awesome time at adventure islands even though it was extremely hot ! Thank you to all the people who are working in this heat with the masks on . I appreciate the hard work y’all are doing! I would like to give a big shout out to an employee named Gabby B . She helped me out at mango joes . She calmly came over to my table and asked me if there’s anything she could do to help me out since my child was having a major temper tantrum. Thank you Gabby ! Keep up with the good skills ! My kid absolutely adores you and we will definitely be back before the season ends to thank her our selves!
I loooove Adventure island. Been a pass member for 10+ years. Smaller than average water park, with great pools, slides, for the whole family. New super fun attractions have been added, Solar Vortex quirky and oh so much fun! Social distancing being enforced in restaurants and all eating areas, as well the use of masks when ordering food, they will check your temperature at the parks entrance, and please register online before heading to the park, as they are only allowing a specific number of people in, daily. You need to print the online registration and bring along with tickets. My 4 stars are due to the fact that you are no longer allowed to bring in outside food, drinks, & coolers.... not having to buy food and drinks for 5 people was a huge help on the pocket. Other than that, I still love this place!
Awesome! We brought our 5 yr old grandson and he enjoyed going down the kids water slides. Wave pool was fun and this place has something for all ages. Loved this place!!
As recent annual pass holders we were excited but anxious of our first visit. It was a great way to get out in the fresh air! Safety precautions were put into place without feeling like we werent able to enjoy ourselves. Do yourself a favor a spend a little extra and get the private cabana! So worth it!
This is a really fun and cute water park. The slides they gave are fun, However having to carry all of these tubes up the stairs can be pretty strenuous. It is a small park which is why I give it 4 stars as they could add a few more attractions, but for $138 for the year is not a bad deal at all. We enjoy it and its fun.
Always great to get away at home. Kids love the wave pool! The crushing waves fascinates them the most. Favorite bite would be a freash chiro. If Bush Gardens could share there secrets on their Smoked Turkey leg and chicken I will add more stars... or secretly email me ; )
Nice family oriented water park.Enough to do all day. Needed few more chairs. Food was really overpriced, few choices, thus the 4 star. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Before you purchase your ticket just know not all rides are open..and the fact that they wont serve you unless you got on a mask...but all the rides say you cant have a mask as your in the water...as they have thick plastic separating the customer and the cashier...smh on you for making people go back to their lockers that are far distance just to come back and order something the rules make no sense... I would appreciate if they considered safety and made us wear the mask at all times not when were just ordering something as if youre talking directly to the person...I dont understand it but hey too many stipulation to get cozy they should really close until next year take your losses now. Stop making the people pay for it with your outrageous concessions prices.
Had a great time Mike and Lonnie were wonderful. The only thing that could have been better was the wait for the food. OMG it took FOREVER.
My family and I had a blast. The staff was friendly. The cabana we rented for the day was well worth the cost. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because some of the rides were not open.
Husband and I purchased year pass this was our first time at the water park and had an amazing day! Lots of slide options, kid areas, and my favorite the lazy river!!!! We had a little rain on our trip but as soon as it cleared up our fun continued. Very excited to visit other 3 parks and come back!!
Plenty of parking and easy access to park. Staff was friendly and helpful. Corona precautions are in place so masks and temperatures are required to get in. 6 spacing and ride capacity limits. Some rides are closed due to low staffing or work being done. Still had a great day and the ride lines werent terrible. Get there early to avoid that.
Nice clean. Barley anyone there in the afternoons. Great time to go.
Its not fair to some of the shy kids with anxiety that all of the other kids cut in line so they have a hard time getting a turn on a slide also why the 3rd degree for asking for some ketchup for my chicken? Just to be cut in front of in line 3 times. Seriously can someone monitor the lines before I end my membership and visit Aquatica instead!
Everything was fine except there were very few sugar free drink options anywhere. Diet coke or water. No tea.
Today I am not going to give a good satisfaction review, Among all the Pandemic situation, we decided to reserved a fun day at Adventure Island Park, our first time, was fun, although it rained and we had to leave early, so this time I thought it would be different, I purchased a All day Meal deal with a 10% membership discount, the first meal was Chicken fingers with waffles fries, and a drink with a cheese cake dessert; You could visit every 60 minutes at certain locations, with your wrist band. I am diabetic, I constantly have to eat something, so I went to the other location for some BBQ ribs, got on line because of there was a big crowd gathering and I am a 64 year old girl, and on top of it my health situation. The servers were very attentive, however I was not aware that the 60 minutes waiting were not over, since the line was long, I thought I would not have any problems, but I did, after waiting on line under the sun heat, I was told, even after my plate was already served, with the lines over crowded, with the distance between clients, right at the register that I had to wait 9 more minutes before I could eat, being an elderly woman and almost to the point of fainting, the manager took away my plate, please dont tell me that something else could have been done, or an exception. I am very disappointed with this manager Bonnies decision to not bend the rule to avoid someone getting sick. Dont know if I would consider renewing my membership with this park.
Hands down way more fun than bush gardens I go about 2x a week and always have a good time. After a few rides the blueberry cocktail and a good meal will hit the spot. Just sit in the lazy river for a few turns then the sit in the pool and relax.
After youve gone here for the past 15 years it can get rather stale. Yes theyve added a few new rides but overall its a water park. Covid has made a few things more difficult and some of the best rides arent currently operating so the choices are limited. After a few hours you want to head home and maybe come back in a few months. The cheap ticket prices make it worth it otherwise we wouldnt go anymore.
Despite the lightning, we had an amazing day!! It was nice to be out in public without a mask restraint!! Cant wait for our next adventure.
Plenty of smoking areas, plenty of pokestops, plenty of food and drink areas. The lazy river was very nice. Social distancing was emphasized and masks were only required when in a shop or buying food. Lots of shades areas as well.
Really enjoyed this place. Considering covid is still a very big thing they do a good job of making sure people are wearing mask and they do temperature checks prior to entering. There was plenty of space to social distance. I would recommend this if you are trying to get out of the monotony of staying home during the pandemic. Be safe guys!
The park in general was fun lot of things to do, just small no social distancing people do not respect your personal space. Besides that it was great
Fun place to get wet and spend a few hours. Food and drinks are expensive. Some of the slides are out of order. Generally a good time.
Low crowds which was nice. However, a few slides were down. Make sure you check before going. Overall still a nice park and friendly staff.
Both Busch Gardens are closing down for good soon I heard. They need to!!! They have both went very far down hill! You all are in so much financial trouble. And just overall a bad place to do business!!!!! Youre not even going to open up the new quasi. Ever from what I heard. So sad!!!! Get it together people!!!!
They are doing an amazing job during the pandemic! Staff super nice and bathrooms were very clean
Adventure lsland, I give 5 stars. What a wonderful exciting fun place to visit. With a lot of fun things to see and do. August 2020
Its was a great experience, I highly recommend this wonderful water park.
I liked that everything was close to each other. It was good but you can only go around the lazy river once at a time. Also, two other rides are closed.
Rude staff! The park is nice. No one abides by the Covid guidelines; this includes staff. They also need to teach the staff how to observe kids on the rides. We had to point out a kids climbing up a slide. Please get a better staff.
First time there...Fun place for families or adults...however, food vendors close an hour before closing
Great place for fun in the sun with lots of activities. Water slides, a lazy river, wave pool, and also activities for children. The Adventure Island crew are doing great with keep the social distancing in place.
Not much of a selection for good food, but you can barely eat in peace with all the birds trying to take it..not to mention how expensive it is.. almost $4 for a bottle of water. Why offer a all day pass to eat but its not accepted at all the food stands. Next time Ill just go to the beach and save the $160 I spent on 4 all day dinning passes
It was a really good time. Tourists are mostly gone so no long lines.
Needs to do much better... I went with my family thinking because you had to make reservations they would not be allowing too many people into the park. The park was more crowded that ever. No one was practicing social distancing, the staff was not enforcing it and when you were following instructions around the park and staying on the marked lines the person behind you was not. And when you asked them to back up they got an attitude with you stating no one else is doing it.
It was Awesome. But I had a pair of shoes stolen from my stroller, and the staff literally laughed in my face saying theres nothing they can do.I understand if you cant do anything but a little common courtesy could go a long way.
Always a good time, bummed about wahoo run and the rapids being closed, and of course the lazy river restrictions due to Covid. But they are handling it well and the visit was great! As pass holders we will of course be back again soon!
We always have the best time here! Plenty of activities for people of all ages. Lots of options for food and beverages. Lockers and showers are available too.
Rides were all closed due to clouds! We sat there for 3 hours and were still not allowed on rides or any attractions. There were selling food and souvenirs just fine of course! We were never able to go in water or ride any rides. We came here on vacation from Ohio. What a rip off. They stole $200 from us! We are NOT rich! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
Ok place to take the kids but not a large water park. We went there because of taking advantage of Busch Gardens seasons pass. Comparing Aquatica to Adventure Islands, we will go to Aquatica in Orlando. We live the same distance to each and we just thought Aquatica was better, Adventure Island is not a bad place to go, just smaller for us.
We made a reservation for July 3 and was really impressed with how quick and efficient the temperature check at the beginning was and with how easy it was to social distance, even while waiting in line!! Have another reservation set for August 2nd and cant wait to go back!!
Had a wonderful time! Cant wait to go back.
We love it here. My kids enjoy it as well as myself. We go for fun in the sun and ride the slides over and over. Everyone in the staff is always nice.
We have passes and go all the time. Love it. Been going since the late 90s
This place is cool however upset that you cany really enjoy it. They let way too many people in and no social distancing and everyone is on top of each other. There is also no where to hardly sit. Do not waste your money go to the regular pool or the beach!
Not too much of a selection in food but things were closed down due to covid
Had fun bringing the kids so that they wore themselves out.
Very fun recommend good place to cool off the food was kinda expensive
Your average water park, had fun but nothing really stood out. Definitely will be choosing aquatica over adventure island.
Was not a bad experience but could have been better. I didnt understand why we needed to wear masks to get in but take them off after entering. A lot of rides were not in operation. Overall not a a bad experience.
Short lines and fast lines. Easy to navigate without a mask for covid.
Its not a big water park and some of the slides arent too exciting except for 1 or 2. Due to covid the lazy river had only one entrance and exit so using it to get around the park doesnt work.Food is ridiculously expensive, so be prepared to pay a lot for even a bottle of water.Overall its an ok park to chill for a day.
Went today for the first time in several years. I always loved this park as a teenager and enjoyed taking my kids there in years past. But this is not the park we grew up going to. For starters, the Everglides...GONE. All the slides up in the fake rock structures...GONE. The Splash Attack area for the kids is run down, most the devices are broken and the bucket doesnt dump anymore. Was forced to purchase masks just to stand in line to get in. Once inside you could remove them. A locker costs $20 to rent, its $25 to park, lunch for a family of four is EASILY about $75. Just all around very underwhelming.
This was our 1st visit here and I must say my kids enjoyed it. As a mother during vacation time I usually just let them take the ride and slides as I watch but this year I did everything they did we towed those long lines and climbed stairs rode the lazy river.....wow....amazing.So as they ride the slopes I towed the lines for them and when it was their turns Id go back to the back of the lines just so they get a second go.Every family should at least once in this lifetime experience a family vacation.
Beautiful water park with cool slides and new attractions, something to do for everyone
Absolutely one the best things to do with the kids for summer! Plenty of activities for every member of the family.
Go the beach. Way to expensive. Way too many rules, and slow staff. Hope you enjoy lines that dont move.
The entire family had a great time and they took plenty of steps to keep people distanced and safe.
Very clean, social distancing was noticeable, fun park.
Covid 19 has the crowd levels super low making for a great experience
Fun! And felt very safe with their social distancing measures.
Love this water park.. lines arent too long and kids loved it
We went in mid July and the rides were fun and the lines were short enough that it wasnt too long of a wait. I especially loved the Lazy River! The only thing that displeased me was that there is only two restaurants where you can use the all day dining. I wish there was more food variety available. The Hibachi was delicious though!
Fun, just too many stairs for people 60 and over.
Very crowded, offering make believe limited capacity. Their concept of limited capacity consists of shutting down a few rides. This causes people to overcrowd whatever else is left open.Limited opportunities to social distance. If what I experienced is limited capacity, I cant imagine what full capacity is.Im back home, feeling like I shared needles with a bunch of strangers, thinking Im that I may need to go into self isolation.I walked into AI thinking of upgrading to a yearly pass. No way Jose.
Had a blast. This place is sweet
Refreshing cool water. Much to do. Friendly staff. All around great family fun.
Nice and Socially Distanced for the most part... Mango Joes was pretty good food too!!
Had a blast today. Staff was great. Sanitation was great. Only a couple of slides were closed, understandably (COVID). Small crowd for a Friday. Left at 2pm to go to Busch Gardens... Wish we stayed,... It was soo hot.Great Job Adventure Island, see you soon.
Great day.... The limited capacity makes the day even more enjoyable.... Great family experience.
Awesome experience but 1 worker was extremely rude on the dual kids slide even watched her start an argument with a family but overall great time
Didnt have good entertainment
Its a fun place to take the family. Right now some of the slides are closed due to the safety protocols in place. Only half of the lazy river open also. Have to get out of the river after only one pass, cannot just stay in.. Overall fun place to go.
My family of 9 experienced such fun June, 2019. 3 adults & kids from 7 to 11. Something for everyone even NANE. Food was good do the dining deal saves money. We rented the cabana what an excellent idea:
Honestly YouTube made it seem so much more than what it really is. Honestly great place to take the little ones thank God it was only my wife and I with our 4 year old because our other older kids wouldnt have enjoyed it, but the employees there are friendly and nice.
This was the first time my wife and I went and had a BLAST!!!! We most definitely will be back.
Love coming here with my kids. I have been coming here also since I was about 7.
Their website trumpets the great covid precautions they are taking but the reality is its just a normal day. Their is no visible effort to sanitize surfacses more and the park is busy as heck so if they are limiting occupancy it is only by 20% or less. As the park filled with people, it got very uncomfortable for anyone even remotely worried about their familys health.
We were at the park today and my daughter wanted to go on the Hulk, so as we were heading through they had metal detectors which I cant go through cause of medical issues. The supervisor of The Hulk roller coaster took her for me so she didnt miss out. Her name was Danielle and that just made our day extra special! I hope she gets to see this so she can know just how grateful we are. She was awesome! Thank you again! The rest of the park was amazing. By far the best day since weve been here! Love it and would reccomend it
Had an awesome time even with the pandemic going on. Felt safe and we all had a blast.
The vortex jus not all its cracked up to be but it was a lot of fun on the other rides
Great place if you enjoy having things stolen (while an employee literally watches) and then watching customer service shrug about it.
