Love the wide open paths - its so large that theres plenty of space to social distance thanks to Mrs. Rona. The winding walkways are whimsical and charming - I really enjoy taking a new route each time and seeing where I end up. Surprisingly peaceful, tucked away in a quiet corner of one of New Tampas busiest hubs.Only 4/5 stars because there seems to be a consistent issue with neglected repairs (broken planks in bridge, abandoned caution tape areas) and sometimes the trash is overflowing and strewn about by wildlife. However, with those things fixed this place would be pretty close to perfect.
I really like the seemingly endless paved trails here and the free parking. You will be eaten alive by mosquitos if you come around sundown without bug spray, so that’s something to keep in mind. I will definitely be back.
This is place is truly amazing. Was mesmerized by the beauty of it . Its very clean and with good paved road for jogging or walking or cycling . It is kid friendly too as it has small play area for them which includes a zip line and a small rock climbing . Lots of Fresh air with green trees all around and away from city noise, best place to get inner peace..Restroom and water station can be added more, it would be helpful. I entered the trail from the water facility parking near bruse b down blvd and there was only one toilet available and no water station. Still I enjoyed my time being there..
Great for bike-riding! Paved paths are good for stroller but it can be sunny in some spots. Very cool zip-line and rock play area for older kids.
The zip line is great! It kept my kids busy. Nice area for the kids to run around and play tag or hide and seek. I would have liked there to be a larger playground with slides and swings but it’s still a nice park to visit.
The place was serene and calming. Beautiful place to walk, jog, cycle or roller skate.
Excellent for bike riding!
Great memories to build here check it out its simple. True family TIME
Great Park beautiful to be around. just dont get lost there after dark because no one will look for you especially if youre lost, had to come back in the dark with a cougar praying on me and my children followed us all the way out the park . Will go back just in the day time...
I bet it is nice... it’s not open as google advertises.... 5/16/20
Its called flatwoods
Website and government publications claim this park is open...NOT TRUE! I got there today (05/25/2020) and it has been closed since May 7th for repairs with an unknown reopening date. Glad I wasted my time and gas...thanks Tampa!
UNDERRATED!!Ive lived in Tampa for 20yrs and never once found a perfect combination of outdoors & paved. Its a lovely long, wide trail that is *perfect* for cycling and leash training. Highly recommend for a nice, super-casual outing.
My family absolutely loves this nature park
A hidden gem!
A lovely little spot that many are not aware of. Zip line and trails. This oark connects to flatwoods and is great for walks and bikerides. No fees to enter park.
Nice, quiet, quaint park that I take my dog to for nature walks. Theres usually just a few patrons there. The large sidewalk goes directly to the big Flatwoods Trail bike trail, if you come prepared for that...
Beautiful paved trail out to Flatwoods. It’s cute for a date or just to bring the dog / take a walk to have some time or exercise for yourself.
New Tampa Nature Park is a hidden gem. This park is great for walking, hiking, biking & relaxing. There is not much sun shade and no bathrooms. It has access to Flatwoods from the main trail. It is FREE with parking available. They have a mini zip line and a play area rock formation. I did not see them, but I hear their is water available via water fountain for water bottle fillup.
Its so nice and quiet here..great place to walk and reflect.
Great trails long where you can get lost in your activities away from the big crowds peace and seclusion
Good park for a nice bike ride or long walk. No shade for most of the path so be prepared. Theres also a water station along the way where you can refill bottles. Small play area at the front has a zip line also. Have fun!
I went there a couple of days ago and had a wonderful experience. They have a rock climb play area, a zip line, different parks and trails in the area, etc. I would highly recommend that you visit especially if you have kids with you!
Little drive, large fun. I think the reason I love this place is the advanced level of the equipment here. My 4 year old could do it with supervision but it was still challenging for my 12 year old. Even I had fun trying it all out. Of course it was the zip line all the kids wanted to try! I feel the old idea of playgrounds has become outdated and that we need to adopt a more eco friendly aspect to play. Maybe thats why I like the fake rock walls...real rock would be better but it would be expensive to bring huge slabs of limestone. Definitely bring some water if you are just here to play.
Awesome place to get away
Love itZip line is broken so someone needs to come and fix it but usually they come and fix it fast
Parking was free. Views were awesome.
Nice out of the way spot to walk or ride your bike or skateboard.
Good for long walk, run or bike ride
Great place to enjoy nature. There are no restrooms there though.
Great free nature park with a small play area for children that includes a zip line!!!!
Nice park.

Great place for walking, running, biking, and has access to flatwoods
