Cute trail and easy walk. You can venture further back and find a stream and boardwalk. Butterflies all around...it was neat.

I love walking the trail. Always feel secure, theres plenty of people waking or riding bikes and the trees protect you from the sun. Today we wall about 2 hours. From Ballyhoo to the first est after crossing the bridge and Mc Dees. Its enjoyable.

Small little walking train with a beautiful view of nature. I come here at times with my wife and dog, and its well taken care of.

This trail is awesome for a walk or bike ride. Its long enough to give you a good, long peaceful walk, jog or run to clear the mind. It also offers great shade in certain parts of the trail, especially the hiking area and bridge. It is lovely, well maintained and great getaway close to home.

Beautiful place. Theyre building a bridge over rocky creek too thats gonna be awesome. **Edit** I just went about a week ago- the middle of January 2020- and the bridge is finished, its absolutely beautiful. Parking is two dollars, which kind of suprised me since its such a small preserve and an extremely short trail. The shortest Ive ever seen in my life actually, its just a tiny little loop that goes from the parking lot to the upper Tampa Bay bike trail. So you can get to the preserve trail from the bike trail so thats really cool. The trail is very clearly marked too so thats always a good thing. If you are someone who drives there with your bike to use the upper Tampa Bay bike trail its a great place to park and the parking lot is very nicely paved and maintained.

Awesome park! Nice short easy wooded trail for kids, and even strollers. Then leads to long paved trail for bikes and easy walking.

Wait. Thats It? This trail is beautiful, clean, shaded, wide path...and then its over. There is SO much potential here and we would love to see an expansion of the trail. Gibson enjoyed the soft Earth trail and review would be 5 stars if a loop was developed.

The Rocky Creek Trail is gorgeous, but its only a 1/4 mile trail. I run it often as a side trip from a run on Upper Tampa Bay Trail. Unfortunately, its just a tiny, tiny area.

There was only a quarter of a mile of actual woods...The website led me to believe it was a trail through the woods

Very cute and well maintained trail, about .25 miles and ends at the biking trail that runs parallel to the traffic. The parking is 2 dollars and is a self service machine.I spent an hour slowly exploring what is about a 10 min walk there and back and discovered many fallen trees with vines and wild flowers growing from them. I spotted several tadpoles in the creek and a pair of cardinals.Your local squirrels will hang out here and of course brown anoles. Overall I enjoyed the vines and flowers the most. It is very close to a road so you can still hear traffic even though the majority of the ambience is bugs and birds in nature.Wish it was a little longer and quieter but overall I’m happy I made the trip here, if prepared with the right equipment you could make this a great herping spot for reptiles and amphibians due to all the fallen wood

Old preserve area that primarily serves as a small parking area for the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, existed before the trail. Old entrance when Gunn Highway was a primitive two lane still there, chained off. Old railroad corridor along here later used as water main corridor then a trail. Manhole covers above pipes still visible if you look hard along trail edge.Small parking area with two handicap spaces paved, rest of parking is a tire killer surface. Two picnic metal tables under cover available, but, like the other rest areas along trail, they have no grilling facilities. Used to ride and cook out for fun, doable in Pinellas county, not here. When the trail has been closed due to storm damage, across the light is mall parking where I have ridden for exercise. If you don’t have two bucks, I guess you could park there. Wish it had grill, conveniently located area.

This is a short trail (.48-1/2 mile out and back) but despite its short distance is really a fantastic quick jaunt. Easy parking and well marked. The trail is wide and easy walking, not strenuous at all. The meandering trail is fun and the crossing bridge over Ricky Creek is a nice addition and very visually appealing. The entire trip has about 80% shade coverage from the variety of oaks. There are no rest room facilities here.

This park charges for parking and is very small. We walked the trails in about 10 minutes.

Paved trail with water cooler stations and restrooms at some locations. Its just over 7 miles running north/south, Peterson Park at corner of Rails road and Peterson on N. Side and running south just past Alonso High School at Old Memorial Rd, which is just north of Hillsborough Ave.
