This is a perfect place to walk on hot summer days because the majority of the pathway is shaded by trees. Its a loop path about 875 steps around. Totally paved either with asphalt, concrete and even a boardwalk. Birds, butterflies and turtles are common. There are also a couple benches for sitting.

Small. Pleasant paved walking trail. Maybe a half mile circle. Half shaded. No toilets or water. A few benches. Maybe 10 parking spots.

I have wanted to make it to this park and was not disappoint. Surprise that there is somewhere like this in the midst of an urban area. There is limited parking. Walking on the path was like walking in a mini forest. There was the sound of birds everywhere. I also heard but didnt see a real loud Woodpecker. I will certainly be back.

It is beautiful. A natural treasure indeed. Its clean with about 9 parking spots. It is not a big trail, will spend about 10 to complete the trail. Its one trail only. Its nice and it definitely takes you away for a moment. Dont rush through and enjoy. It is a paved trail and wheelchair accessible. There isnt any restrooms.

This park is so beautiful. It has a lovely trail that extends around the park and has a couple break areas where you can sit and take a break if youre tired walking. But honestly the walk is so smooth and the scenery is so pleasant that I didnt feel tired once. You can take children of all ages here as it has a safe path already paved and lined with borders ready for you to go. Great place to take a stroll in on a quiet afternoon.

Woodmont Natural Area is a small loop trail through a flat woodland/marsh preserve in Tamarac. This 15 minute paved path has a section of boardwalk and is mostly shaded throughout the day.Highlights were an abundance of butterfly, bird, and bee varieties. Today we saw American Redstarts, Cardinals, Bluejays, Red Bellied Woodpeckers, and other common locals. Viceroy, Sulfur, Zebra wing, and a Ruddy Daggerwing butterflies were busy pollinating the wild coffee. There is an active hive about 1,000 feet in on the left side of the trail with hundreds of busy honey bees minding their business.Drawbacks are that there is no public restroom, the trail markers are mostly sun faded beyond reading, and the trail has some garbage in visible, but inaccessible, parts of the path.
