Sunset Point Park looks like a great park. It sits just east of the Sawgrass Expressway. Amenities include a multipurpose trail with exercise stations, shelters with grills, wetlands nature study kiosk, a universal / ADA playground with shade cover, small amphitheater, and restrooms. The park opened in 2004 and in 2015 the park received a renovation with a new playground, picnic shelter, and fitness stations. In February of 2020, increased use of the park led the city to consider enlarging the parking lot and improving the restrooms.After shopping at the mall I still had a few rings to close on my watch and decided to come here to finish exercising for the day. I am sure this would have been a five star review but unfortunately I was greeted with a locked fence and a sign that said all Tamarac City Parks were being closed beginning 7/15/20. Thanks Covid. Welcome to living in the states epicenter. I ended up going down the road to the Sawgrass Trailhead at Atlantic Boulevard. a place I absolutely love. I had a great hike, saw three alligators, and it is the best place in Broward County to see the sunset. Much better than even a place called Sunset Point Park. Having gotten the cold shoulder from the City of Tamarac, Ill stick to the Everglades and the Atlantic Boulevard Trailhead.

This was a great little park. There were plenty of places to sit and the playground is fantastic. I brought the two kids 2 & 5. Perfect for them. The play ground is gated so keeping them safe is easy.

This park is nice, quiet and clean. Great for parties as well with multiple pavilions available. There is also different exercise stations around the walking path that runs the perimeter of the park. My kids and I love it here.

This park is one of the best Ive been in with my son, he loves it.

Such a cute gated park. The cover is down so if its a sunny day it may be too hot. Very clean and interactive things to do. Definitely more stations that are physically challenging...way to go!

I love this park, unfortunately they have not put the shade cover back up over the kids playground since hurricane season. Otherwise it would be 5 stars for sure.

Fun park. I’m really happy they’ve enclosed the playground. It can get busy so I like the added safety as my kids were wanderers when they were younger. Lots of fun jungle gyms to climb on, a kid-friendly zip line and great swing set.The walking trail also has workout equipment and we’ve seen a few birthday parties here with enough room for a bounce house. A family favorite!

The childrens play area is awesome and the exercise path is wonderful. However, there really needs to be something done about the restroom facilities. They were unclean and dangerously hot (more than 95°F at 6 PM). There needs to be better ventilation and better lighting options for the bathrooms. Huge ants (almost an inch big) climbing the walls and ceilings of the bathrooms.

Love this park! Perfect for my daughter. Enclosed play area and also workout areas all over. I live close and on the weekends it’s extremely packed so I think they should extend the parking since they tore down ALL the trees close by.

Park has a nice layout and a very nice play area. There is a mini-zipline the kids enjoy, single and double swings, etc. My kids dont seem to get bored. We have also held a birthday here with a bounce house so space is fairly-generous.Parking is usually available, though during busy times you may have to walk a little more.The play area is currently uncovered since hurricane Dorian so kids are directly-exposed to the Florida sun. Unfortunately, many local parks delay putting back their coverings after hurricanes, so Sunset Point isnt very different in this regard.In addition, the grassy area gets quite water-logged during periods of heavy rain, so field activities will be curtailed until the area has had some time to dry.

Very beautiful park but the artificial grass is giving small electric shocks to the children on the playground. Hopefully Parks & Rec can address this issue!

Very nice playground, full of different activities for kids if all ages. The last time we were there it was a field trip for kids with disabilities, it was great to see them having fun! They even a swing made so they can enjoy it!

This park is little, but nice and clean. At the end of McNabb by the Sawgrass express way, it is a little secret. It almost seems that was built only for the community across the street

Great park and playground for the kids, and a nice place to watch the sunset . But as soon as dark hits the mosquitos are crazy, being that close to the Everglades they seem a bit more wild, a bit bigger, and a bit more hungry.

This is one of our favorite parks in the broward county area. It is well shaded, great for kids to play and also has good flooring for a safe play. Great area for a lunch picnic or play dates

Awesome playground. Has a zip line and a swing where an adult can swing with a baby. It also has an exercise circuit around the edge. There arent really any trails but its still pretty nice for the kids.

They continue to add new equipment and items to the play ground I love it so much. The shade and setting available is a plus since I get to rest while I watch the kids closely.

The park is amazing ans so kid-friendly.There is a lot if space on the grassy areas and workout obstacles. There is a mini jogging path too. lastly there is alot of benches and tables under covered pavillions. This park is great.

My kids call it the zipline park. Lots of fun, fun playground,open spaces and exercise equipment.

Went to a five year-olds birthday party. Ive been there before. It has a spectacular playground for the kids.

This is a fun family oriented park. Dont stay until closing because the MOSQUITOES (YES, theyre that BIG) will fly across the Sawgrass Expressway and eat you alive!!!

I love the fact that the park is enclosed and I don’t have to worry about my kids running in the street. The city tries to keep the park clean and enjoyable for the kids and parents, what is not enjoyable is the way the parents/kids don’t contribute to keeping it clean. I’m not bad mouthing all the parents and kids that go to this park, but for the most part the parents do not watch their kids. They probably think their child is “ok” being that it is enclosed. One of the times I went to this park there was TRASH everywhere. Empty water bottles, snack wrappers inside the play area..these kids run wild and have no respect for the park or people around them. My child was hit in the stomach yesterday by an older kid (accidentally) but there was no apology or even acknowledgment that this child hurt my kid. Nor did the child’s guardian come over and correct this behavior. Shortly after another child is being mouthy to me since me, my 18 month old and 3 year old were in his “way” of the monkey bars. Again, no parent around. If you are a parent like me, and like to interact with your child and WATCH your child do not go to this park. This is NOT the first time I experienced these types of situation when parents are oblivious to what their child is doing or saying. I will not go back to this park due to the lack of respect by both parents and their kids. Again, the park is lovely, well at least the city is trying to keep it clean, this is more of a complaint of the people who attend the park.

Just a small park in a back corner across from the highway so its never QuietReally only a good place for young kids and birthdays at the pavilions.

Great park for toddlers/young kids. Completely fenced in, Astro turf is well maintained. Covered and bathrooms are close. Only reason 4* instead of 5 is that it can be packed... And parking can be a bit of a hike for a park.

Great park for kids of all ages. The only thing i dislike is that the water fountains (the 3 of them) are usually out of service. It is very hard fir the kids to be in SFL heat without having to refil thier water bottles. City of Tamarac has to pay attention to this issue.

Nice park,very clean with a decent playground for kids. Wish they would have a set close time, they say from 7 - Dusk. But city workers had Sheriff come and close it down well before dusk. A set time would be better than saying dusk is closing. As that leaves it up to the Park Aide discretion.

Newly renovated playground is wonderful. My two 8-year-old girls love this park. Its not too big, so I can walk the trail without worrying about being too far from them, and not too small like some neighborhood parks that my daughters have completed out-grown. Love the new exercise machines that have been added to the trail. My favorite nearby park (even before renovations)!
