This park is one of the best in Springfield. The garden is beautiful and well kept, with lots of areas to explore. The greenhouse is nice to visit in the winter. It has formal garden areas and informal areas. Great park!

Really enjoyed the Art Spectacular at the Carillon. The covid precautions were great...much appreciated...and so nice to have the event. We have missed so many usual events this year, and it was great to have this one go on.

The Washington Park Botanical Garden is a great way to relax and unwind. You will be able to see exotic plants indoors, walk through a rose garden, and be able to enjoy the Thomas Reese Memorial Carillon.

Building open 12-4. Grounds I would say are sunrise to sunset. Grounds are immaculate. Stunning. A public park which has no litter, graffiti, the paths are absolutely perfect. or even a leaf out of place. Very Impressive. (A drinking fountain or faucet would be nice. Though the cold weather in winter likely makes such a desire unlikely.)

The grounds of the Washington Park Botanical Garden are absolutely beautiful. There are many flower shows inside throughout the year including orchid and Iris shows. There are many venues for weddings outside and inside. Every season is beautiful you wont want to miss it.

I love Washington Park. There is a little bit of something for everyone. There is a running/walking path, playground, tennis courts, lots of field, flowers and plants that are labeled all over, a butterfly garden, a pond for ducks and geese with a deck to look out at them, 2 water fountains, a gazebo, daycare, etc. It is beautiful anywhere you go in it plus there are friendly people all over!

20 acres of flowers, trees, and bushes with a pond surrounded by ducks and geese - beautiful! Dont forget to check out the mini rainforest display in the greenhouse dome. Free admission.

Washington park is closed, to car traffic, on the weekend so I parked at the botanical garden to take my walk. I hasnt been up there for years but it was absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful flowers, and they host a pumpkin carving event each year. Its an excellent place to visit in the summer and fall.

The staff at the botanical gardens are always ready and eager to accommodate our group. They set out tables the way we request and the exact number of chairs, while allowing us access to more if we need them. The kitchen is perfect for our needs, and the updates are gorgeous. I wish I had taken before and after pictures. Thank you, Springfield Park District and the Botanical Gardens staff for all you do for the Iris Society!

I feel like Ive rated it before, but its a beautiful park, very well kept. I have had so numerous experiences here, but my favorite part of every visit is singing in the gazebo. Its super fun and echoey, 10/10, would recommend. Also, flowers.

The park looks really nice nowadays. Its good to see the Park District maintaining this property so well. The pink petunias near the botanical gardens look great!

This is an edit. I love walking around this park and the wedding I attended there was just wonderful. I had an issue with a parking ticket when made me rate this as one star. But this was actually a miss understanding and the local police were just not informed of the event im time to not place tickets on vehicles in the grass. This has been resolved and I no longer have any issues. I would definitely recommend this place for any event!

I loved being here. Awesome place to walk with ones significant other or kids. The only downside was the huge amount of geese feces everywhere on the pavement.

Beautiful place for a walk almost any day. Even Saturdays and Sundays do not seem crowded. This place is a bit of a hidden gem in springfiled since it is well away from City center you mainly see locals out for walks and everyone is very friendly. There is also staff on duty in the center 7 days a week.

Very peaceful and beautiful place to just take a casual walk as a couple, Family or even if its just by yourself. Looking over the wonderful landscape, in which has some amazing flowers with the bells from the carrilion ringing thru the air. As far as going inside they have a very clean and inviting environment with a wonderful walk thru with lots of different types of plant life along with a few little birds you may see flying around. Do give my recommendation to all to check out.

Both, inside and outside, have beautiful areas to sit and think, talk, read, draw or even take a nap.. Gardens, is the only place to go.

My husband and I love this park. There is so much to explore and as professional photographers, its a beautiful backdrop for family photography, seniors and weddings too! We like to find the other the beaten path places which this park is full of! Its a great place to take a walk, sit on a bench and enjoy the passerbys. Theres always people playing Pokemon Go there too!

We had a gorgeous afternoon here looking at all the different roses and other plants. Definitely would come again.

Beautiful gardens with paved paths (most are wheelchair friendly). Especially lovely in the fall and spring. There are M/F restrooms in the botanical garden building and additional M/F restrooms at the playground

It is beautiful and worth seeing. The life birds in the green house are finches and absolutely gorgeous. They also have a beautiful Christmas display and it was dynamite. It is a must see.

I love Washington Park! I have many fond memories of this park as a little girl. Now as a woman in her 30s, I had my wedding photos taken there. Beautiful Christmas scenery indoors in December.

The botanical gardens are beautiful. Theres a nice sense of atmosphere, everything is cleaned and painted well. Its the off season right now, and it still doesnt look half bad.Theres also a sense of community, and in a sense I am rating the people who I see there as often as I do. The people are great, everyone is quiet and its easy to enjoy the serenity of the park without bumping elbows with your neighbor.

What a beautiful place inside and out the gardens are a lovely place to take photographs for prom or weddings and on a day when the Carillon is playing bring your lawn chairs and relax.

Very pretty! Bring your camera! Not a huge botanical garden, but definitely worth the time to stop and see. Easy and smooth walking paths around the entire area, as well as some bike paths going around the garden and through the park. Make sure you go early enough to visit the greenhouse at the center of the gardens - it closes in the early evening.

Nice park the city keeps it really clean. Please do not feed the ducks bread the Facebook memes is true just Google it. You will find a site that will tell you what the ducks can eat.

I was only able to walk the grounds because they locked the doors 15 minutes before the listed close time. The grounds are beautiful and the bell tower that chimes every 1/2 hour really puts a pleasant atmosphere to a visit.

Very nice and a lot of flowers to see and fountains. Make sure to go to refreshment stand not to far away.
