I would have to give this park 5 stars. It is one of Springfields underappreciated parks. But that does allow for a more serene & peaceful park. My wife, Laura, and I took our cheagle puppy (Shadow) out there with us. He had a blast; just loved it!! This park has (2) shelters, a swimming pool w/concession stand, (2) basketball courts, a set of tennis courts, picnic tables, grills, plenty of swings & playground equipment for the kids, a baseball/softball diamond & public bathrooms. They even have (2) horseshoe pits there; thats awesome!! A very beautiful park that sits off National just south of Kearney Street. The city did an amazing job with this park. Go visit it & judge for yourself!! One of the best city community parks that I have seen in any city. It provides for a great family outing, a nice stroll through the park, or a nice walk with your dog.

I love how you can walk comfortable on trails and play basketball and tennis...its clean... great place to just lay out a blanket and relax...

All of the Parks in Springfield are good. Some might be a little small but theyre still clean and safe.

Lovely well kept park in historic Midtown. Just be sure to check the parking lot and Creek area before you let the kids rub around. Sometimes not so great company hangs around.

The playground is cute, really pretty with the field and stream nearby. We walk to the park and the trail had these signs where each page was a page out of a childrens book so the kids were walking the trail and reading a book at the same time, pretty awesome ️

A great walking park with ample space. However, I would like to see more effort put into the decrease of littering. Wildlife calls that park home! We must care for it. Please pick up trash if you visit. Please put in more trash cans as well, park board. Thank you.

Other than the drinking fountain didnt work, it really wasnt that bad of a place

The park is kind of meh, but i love the small swimming pool. It is zero-foot entry, which is nice for kids. There is no wheelchair lift, though. A wall separates the shallow pool from the deeper pool for diving, which includes a low diving board and a drop slide. I mostly see young kids at this pool.

My granddaughter had never been to a park before. She ran round to play on every small playground. After 2 hrs she still wasnt ready to leave.

Mostly a walking park. Has the usual playground stuff along with a pool. Not terrible but nothing special.

I love this park. It has a relaxing atmosphere. It borders a historic church. Its nicely steamed and always clean and peaceful. The pool is wonderful. It also has a nice little man made Creek running through the middle of the park that you can walk over. Overall this is my favorite park

It is such a tabula rasa with beautiful green spaces and a spiffy amphitheatre. I visited the Pagan Pride Festival at this park and the space along with the people putting it on and attending made the event well worth the visit

The first weekend in august every year we have park day that starts on friday and ends on sunday in park with a bathing beauty contest and fashion show. There are different venders selling food. Sell some very good catfish.

Very fun park has a pool, tennis courts, basketball courts (both very nice and well maintained), there is almost always 1-2 workers on site from morning until late afternoon. There is a creek running through the park, there is a pavillion with seating and bathrooms as well in case you want to hold a party there. Great parking and its down the street from the college campus of OTC so you usually have a few college athletes around and there is enough law enforcement that drives by the area regularly that you dont have to be worried about criminals or drugs being in the park itself. It is Springfield though so you kind of always have to be on your toes about watching for drug related trash being on the ground.There is two separate play sets as well one for the toddlers and one for older kids as well so great for kids and swing sets both for the little ones and the not so little ones! One of my favorite parks to do homework at on a sunny day! I would definitely recommend a visit!

Love taking my family to the park, relaxing by myself, cycling through it and enjoying the wildlife. But... the homeless people are vicious. So. Beware...
