What an amazing place! Truly one of a kind in Springfield. The staff here is abesoletly the best. Spent most of my summer here and even had them be the host of my sons birthday. This is a great place for a date, friend or family outing and a party spot!
DO NOT GO HERE FOR A CALM RELAXING TIME. My experience with this miniature golf place was dismal. They told us to wait until they told us to start golfing and I agree with this policy in accordance with safe social distancing policies. However three groups of people were allowed to run up on us. They did not enforce social distancing on the Groups that came after us. They were allowed to golf right up on us. Their kid continued to walk right up on us. I was very displeased with this. This is a very expensive way to spend one to two hours. It cost us over $40 for two adults and a child. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. I WILL NOT BE GOING HERE AGAIN.
Great family place or date night. Take as long as you want with big groups or small. Fun holes and good times are what you can expect from this establishment
The atmosphere is great. It is clean and modern. The mini golf has creative holes, which made it fun for the entire group! After golf we ate snow cones for $1 and played yard jenga.. there is even cornhole. We cant wait to go back
We went tonight to treat ourselves, we usually go to the Fun Acre because its so cheap. I ended buying a family pass, fantastic value! Get Away Golf is very well maintained, simple but fun holes, and 36 of them. Montgomery and Callie were super friendly and both have bright futures.
We had a blast at Getaway Golf!! With two courses to choose from plus yard games and refreshments, this place has it all!
We just participated in the Holes for Heroes event and our team had an absolute blast! The course was very well kept and very clean for the amount of nice shade trees around it. Every member of the staff was super helpful and very nice. Ive been here before with my family on just a regular day and it was the same way.Very impressed with this mini-golf course. Thank you for the great time!
Such a cute place to take the family! Lots of fun and great decor!
Lots of varied holes, have only played the international side so far but has a nice mix of low and high par holes. Some were tighter than others. Will definitely go back to do the American side.
Getaway Golf is a well placed mini golf course just east of highway 65 on Sunshine. Its tucked away and surrounded by trees. The course itself was moderately challenging the first time due to some sneaky and well disguised elevation changes.A really well show cased theme which is incorporated smoothly and in an interesting way.I will come back again and recommend this as a place for all appreciate ages and party sizes.Bring your student id.
The prices arent the best for what you get. some of the holes on the around the world course dont have anything and are just regular miniature golf holes which was kinda sad. I didnt play the usa one so I cant report on those. I did have a good time though.
Lots of fun. Friendly, helpful service.
My friends I decided to take a weekend trip to Arkansas but plans changed and we found this place. Really cool environment and the courses were super fun and inventive. Wish we had something like this back home.
Really cool place. The course was nice and the attractions were cool.
Went at 8 on a Saturday night. Place was packed. Even for non Covid standards. That didnt effect the time me and my girlfriend had on her birthday. They have 2 beautifully themed 18 hole courses. USA and internationally themed. The US one is the more tame of the two. However they were both really fun and clever. The international one was a little more challenging even though I did better on it. You can take it as seriously as you want keeping score or you can just have fun with a group of friends. The prices are great for what you get. They have corn hole, giant jenga and tick tack toe to keep you entertained while you wait of afterwards. They have this great backyard feeling that makes you want something like this in your backyard. (In your dreams) Im sure there are better out there, but not around the Springfield metro area for sure. Definitely gunna go back sometime.
First off, the staff is awesome. Everyone was friendly, warm, and informative. The whole place is very clean. There’s even a changing table for babies. They sell non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, snow cones, etc. There’s a place to play Jenga, Corn Hole, a tv outside, chairs and tables, etc. It’s a great place to hang out. The miniature golf courses are fun! If you have little ones, they might have a hard time keeping their balls out of the water features (it’s almost impossible to get them out once their in too). The courses are expensive though... that’s the only downside.
Very nice with two 18 hole courses. Reasonably priced aswell.
Good clean fun for my 58th birthday party! Staff was awesome. We had a great time!
Very nice course with two different paths to choose from. The facilities were clean and everything looked new.
Too expensive for what it is, and no bonus 19th hole for a hole in one for a free game. Been wanting to go to this place for such a long time, and it was significantly underwhelming.
Cant put a bad review when some people stink at mini golf and your one of them.
A great place to have some fun. The courses are nice and offer a good variety of challenges
Great golf place. Two different 18 hole courses. Just right.
Went there the other day for the first time was so nice love the two sides of golf you can do would love to the USA side did the International side they said it was harder but really wasn’t that hard to me because I got like 2s on almost every hole and just a couple 5s and also was kind of crowded with everyone out there trying to Putt putt golf but I guess that’s something you got to live with but still not really a good thing when you got people who are getting low scores and what to get to the next hole.
The students had a great time. There is more to do than golf. There is also cold drinks to buy.
Its put put at its finest. Takes you around the world
Fun round of golf, very nice and clean, nothing too over the top.
Had some time to spare. Found this little gem! So much fun and not expensive!
My husband and I had an amazing time golfing here, it was the nicest course we’ve ever gone to!
Great place. We all had fun. First time going, worth the money.
Fun family outing!!! The course is a great one and is unlike any of them in town. I would have given them 5 stars but I did find the price of the course to be a bit pricey. It took us about an hour and half to get through both courses.
The staff was nice and the place was fairly cool. They had an international or American option with landmarks which was pretty cool. It was fall and there were leaves all over the place and it stopped us being able to play a lot of times. I think it was a little overpriced but not by too much. Ill have to come back in the spring or summer and give them another chance. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would.
The international course was a challenge and we really enjoyed it...but the lack of music to make it fun and festive was absent, and made it kinda blah!!
It was such a great time!! I got a hole in one on the second hole international side!! Staff was super friendly!!!
Alright, its minigolf, bit pricey but great on Thursdays, students are half off, classy thou
Love going here, its my daughters favorite place to play
Modern feel, fun course. Would be five stars, but its a bit pricey
Great course. Lots of variety. A little pricey.
I really like mini golf and I would highly recommend Getaway. They have 2 courses and while both are great, my wife and I have decided that the international side is our favorite. The holes are well thought out and themed based on historic locations. They are challenging enough to be fun but easy enough to not get you frustrated.
Courses are both amazing and super fun and family friendly.
Excellent!! Best one Ive been too!!
Getaway Golf was pretty fun. We did the USA one and the monuments/attractions depicting US landmarks were cool. That being said it was a bit pricey. Paying $10.50 to play one course is a lot especially since theyre not too challenging. It is great for kids though and could make for a fun family evening out.
Super cute place. We did the international side.
Always a fun time!!! Very friendly staff!
Great prices and the courses are so much fun!
Great family fun not to expensive
Great place in town to have some family fun.
Best mini golf course Ive played. Friendly and attentive staff, international or American sets of 18 holes each.
My son and I had so much fun
Loved it! Perfect for date night. I played the International course and it was really cool. The best part is that they have corn hole, jenga, and other lawn games. Also free popcorn!
My sons whos 3. It was his 1st experience playing putt putt with her BIG 4 year old Sister. They had a blast. Great time management between the groups around and the prices were fair for adults, it could of been better for toddlers. Since the company charges the same price for kids regardless of age. Other than that though the night was a great time and we will have wonderful memories for years to come.
I give Gateway golf a 1 simply because they were not open on a weekday night. We ended up going to fun acre where there was like 200 people. I can understand being closed on a Monday during the off-season, but it is unacceptable during the months of June July and August.
Wife and I stopped by after our lunch last Friday. Really clean looking place from the road. Not the usual look from your other putt putt courses. Course layout was very nice and interesting. Kind of pricey but its a newer place and its cleaner so thats to be expected. Next time we go well do both 18 hole courses.
Rented a party room for an employee outing, everything went perfect. This is an ideal place to host anything. The facility and courses are very well kept. Would highly recommend!
Ive driven by this place too many times to count, and have always thought meh, how cool can it be? But when the wife suggested a date night, and we were thinking of places to go, we ended up here.It was a lot of fun! It was more fun than I expected.Aside from playing mini golf, it was fun to play find the frogs... There were tree frogs hanging out on quite a few of the holes.Watch out though, the place closes at 10:00 sharp. There is a timer on the lights, to help the residential neighbors happy.
Fun family spot. Very clean!
My husband and I went there on a Thursday evening; he had never been mini-golfing and I for the most part enjoy it...its a lot of fun. The golf course has attractions along the way and the place is lively, with a pleasant atmosphere. I give it four stars because you have to choose which course you want to do the international or USA, and if you want to do both...its more expensive. I dont know why the prices have to be determined that way, a golf course is a golf course!
Very nice, challenging course! We did the international course, which had some nice little surprises. Our favorite hole was the one with the shark! If you go in the evening and are a bug magnet like me, I recommend using bug spray.
Property was well kept. Expectations and design both explained with detail. Ability to retrieve ball from water made easy by proper equipment being available. Multiple courses available.
Friendly staff, clean facility, 2 fun courses!
They have two courses one is themed with different countries and one is themed by the states. Some are simple but it is a good mix to be fun for all ages. Definitely going again.
The courses are fun but if you get here kind of late then you will have to rush as they will shut the lights and course down at exactly 10pm. The staff is nice, helpful, and courteous. Overall fun time.
Pretty high even with half off for kids
Great fun! Love the theme of the course. It reminds me of the movie Overboard with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.
Putt putt is always fun the price is kinda high but can be worth it if you go when there not to busy
Hours say 2pm-7pm and we show up with a group at 4pm and they are closed!!! The employee was there but wouldn’t open.We came back the next day and they were open and we had a great time.
Fun and fairly challenging. Two courses to pick from and theyre both great. Maybe a little pricey for mini golf but you get what you pay for.
Super fancy and fun
Best mini-golf experience I have ever had and I loved the creativity; however, I wish each hole had a theme. You go through the course and there would be no attraction or destination.
Great fun with my granddaughters
Good experience and fun! Staff were friendly. On the higher end financially, but the courses are clean and fun. They are well maintained too.
2 Adults and 1 kid for about $31. We did the USA sites course which was pretty good. I was hoping for a little more for the price we paid, but its definitely the best course in the immediate area. They also had complimentary popcorn.
Compared to other mini golf courses in Springfield, the themes of the holes were pretty creative and big. However, most of the cool structures and monuments weren’t even on the green. The green(what you putt on) structure was one of the most basic I’ve seen. The hole was straight in front of you almost every time. I mean there was a little slope here and there, but there wasn’t any windy bends or creative movements to the green. Competitors such as, Fun Acre, have much better movement to their greens. At Fun Acre the cool structures are actually on the green and you get to hit through and around them. At Getaway, it’s like flat green + a big rock in the middle over and over again. Now, let’s talk about this price. $10.50 just to hit a ball straight towards the whole every time, on every hole? I can set up a cup on my dorm floor and hit a ball towards it for free. Then again, I guess I don’t get too look at the St. Louis Arch or the Statue of Liberty im the middle of a watering hole.Overall, the course as a whole is not worth the money. If I where you I would go to a different, cheaper course with a bit more creativity in the structure of their greens.
This a fun challenging course. It is new and well taken care of. Great for a family experience.
Full awesomeness, all the way. Do both courses!FYI GOOGLE MAPS is wrong. To get to Getaway Golf, you gotta get away from from the last left it gives you. The last left to turn into Getaway Golf currently has you turning into the driveway of what looks like a gated business, if you turn where GOOGLE MAPS says on Blackman road. Its the second drive.
We had a blast at the second annual holes for heros. What a wonderful place for an event. Everything was awesome. I highly recommend this venue.
Great place for the kids. The courses were pretty cool. Not too expensive!
My wife and I were driving by and had some free time so we decided to stop and make it a date. We did the international course and it was a lot of fun! Will be back
Nice grounds, very clean, and it was shaded. We had a nice time. We just personally thought it was overpriced. With tax, it cost almost $30 for this family of three to play one course. None of the holes were earth-shattering or anything. It wasnt particularly challenging or overly creative outside of the unique idea of having a landmark statue at most of the holes. Im just as happy to play at one of the other courses in Springfield when on a family outing. For sure this will be a special occasion place that we will only visit once in a blue moon.
Always had a good time here, they do offer a military appreciation discount.
Its fun, but the prices are ridiculously overpriced.
Aesthetically, its a really good course. Lots of really cool things to look at while playing. But theres not much of a challenge here. We played the USA course so I cant speak about the other one. Well designed overall, but it lacks challenge.
Great putt putt golf course with friendly and helpful staff. I have taken my team here twice for team outings and its always a great experience.
Very nice mini golf courses, I would definitely go back!
Excellent place
