They were very helpful they took me through the whole building showed me every area that I could work out in or swim my locker room everybody was wearing their masks very nice folks

A great place to go for swimming or exercise. The card machine wasn’t working today and the lady at the main entrance let me in for free. My brother used to work as a lifeguard here and he enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this place especially for families with small children.

I love going to Chesterfield Family Center. They have a wide variety of options for individuals to stay fit, whether that be swimming in their indoor pool, exercising in their gym, or taking fitness classes for all skill levels. They also host birthday parties and events, and the staff is very friendly. Definitely a must-see location in south Springfield for individuals of all ages, as well as fitness and recreation enthusiasts.

Chesterfield Family Center is slowly, carefully reopening after COVID 19 closures. Excellent facility and well run. Challenging classes and good equipment for workouts and pool area for laps with water play area for families.

We had a fantastic time swimming in the indoor pool. The changing rooms were nice and clean. The pool area was also clean and the water was crystal clear. There were plenty of friendly lifeguards on duty. The slide was a lot of fun but the seems where its put together hurt a little as you slide over them. The staff was very nice. Its a great place!

Fun place to go for an indoor pool, rock climbing, indoor track, basketball, events (see their bulletin board, and workouts. When youre finished playing inside theres an outdoor trail and a playground though its lack luster. Lacks a sufficient amount of PokéStops for anyone looking to play Pokémon Go!

I like this place a lot! Honestly the YMCA has more updated equipment but Chesterfield doesnt have the traffic. I have worked out at both, but I have never waited for people to stop talking while sitting at equipment at Chesterfield. Its perfect for a family.

I already enjoyed going here with the family to swim, but we went to a birthday party here for my sons friend and it was great! We will have to do birthdays here going forward. The staff was great, plenty of room in the party room, and for a few bucks extra they provide your own personal MERMAID! This may sound a little girly, but the boys were just as impressed by the mermaid as the girls. AMAZING JOB GUYS!

The clerk was rude. They should have spent more money on the sign showing people where it was. The bank sign next to it was four times as big as the one for the family center ridiculous

Wonderful staff and a clean environment. Everyone is respectful of the people around them. Fair rates and great equipment. I highly recommend to anyone interested in a new workout facility.

Great pool and plenty of room in the party room. Very clean and the equipment is in great shape. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the lifeguards flirting with each other which is not acceptable when there are little kids to keep an eye on in the pool.

Great group fitness classes. Locker rooms need an upgrade desperately.

I love this place but if you get the lifeguard with glasses and a dorky haircut he takes the fun out of everything. I went there with a large group of friends for my birthday and we were screaming and acting like we were scared of the slide. Well we had a girl lifeguard and she didnt care. When this guy came over he said if you scream you will be banned for 5 minutes. So I screamed just to piss him off. Then he said when that clock says 5:00 you can go back on the slide. Well the jokes on him because we only had like 3 minutes left. Again this guy is the worst lifeguard.

Great facility to work out and swim. Super cheap gym / pool option for the entire family. Place is tucked away in the neighborhood but that’s what makes it nice.

Great staff pool was awesome. We had a blast and will be back soon. The indoor aspect keeps me from having to drown my fair skinned grandson in sunscreen every 1/2 hour. Love this place! ️️

We’ve done quite a few birthday parties here for our kids. It’s a decent place to rent a room at an affordable price. Not a fan of their clean up policy.

The pool is great. It is super over priced and they ask for an obscene amount of info to get in. They expect to photograph your child. These photos are kept on a computer that isnt secured. Along with your address and copies of your photo ID.

Lots of fun in the aquatic center. Fantastic hot tub! Always therapeutic. Very clean gym and staff if usually pleasant and accommodating.

This is a clean, safe place to take the family indoors year-round for basketball, swimming, track, rock wall climbing (check hours, M-Sat), aerobic machines, and complete weight gym. Its well maintained. Sometimes the staff is not at the desk downstairs, but they are generally helpful if you can track them down.

Wonderful employees and good facility

Fun space to play for the kids to run off some energy. Their fields seem to be a little swampy, although we werent far removed from a rainy week so maybe thats not the usual. They also have a few picnic tables and pavilions, but the main attraction is the flat space & walking paths. Good open space in that corner of town.

Friendly staff. Kids had fun in the pool. All except for the guy that borrowed my sons towel in the guys locker room. Yuck! Bring your own towel in the future, Man!

I would not recommend renting a room for a party here. The room was dirty and the floors had clearly not been mopped in who knows how long. There was absolutely no where to park because of an event they were having (which is fine but they could have let us know ahead of time so we could make car pool arrangements) also along with paying for the room upfront (which is also no big deal) they have you pay a deposit that you shouldnt expect back for at least 3 weeks.. Whats up with that? We were extremely rushed for preparation and clean up, the other places I had looked into offered free set up time.. Not here.. This may seem like its not a big deal but when you have a lot going on for a party and plan every detail its frustrating to have so many inconveniences. It just didnt seem worth the money.

If you want to enroll in a gym. This is the prefect please to bring your family to workout and have a blast at the swimming pool. My family enjoys being a member of the Chesterfield Gym. Employees at awesome and you get a warm greeting every time you step in side those doors. Just take the time out to check it out.

Really nice relaxed area for fun and exercise

Nice facility and very pleasant staff, but you need to be on alert for car break ins.My car had its drivers side window broken and my car interior rummaged thru tonight (2/13/19). Staff indicated. that this continues to happen, maybe not as much as previous but does occur with some regularity.If this is a continual problem as indicated it would be nice to see the Park Department take proactive steps to eliminate, like additional lighting, cameras, security patrols, etc.

Love the pathway and its easy access. Love that the parking area is so close to the playground. I could hear the childrens laughter all the way to my parking space.

This is a wonderful place for the family to go. we went just to swim and although it was a little busy, it was still an enjoyable experience. my daughter is 2 years old, and she really loved going there. the staff is friendly and courteous, and the prices are low too. they offer so much for your money.

Daughters party and was a good experience. Thought the allotted 1.5hrs would be too short but it was perfect timing. 2 pizzas, cleanup by staff, pool time for kids, and a party room for cake and socializing. Well worth the cost.

Awesome place to get some sweat in

Perfect attraction when you want to get out of the sun but still have a great outdoor activity. The lazy river was my favorite part.

The world needs more of these. Greene County Missouri sets the bar really high with their parks programs. They offer so many wonderful programs. Their gym is huge, and the pool is like a mini indoor water park. They also have an awesome outdoor park, and walking trail.

Overall a great place to be in. Great staff and very family oriented and has a lot to do for the price!

Only used the pool at the facility which was nice accept for the burning from there being way too much chlorine in the water and in the air as the place is heated like a sauna

Pretty disappointing. They advertise it over the phone that they had an indoor swimming pool and a rock climbing wall. The indoor swimming pool was so overly chlorinated that all 10 of the kids at the birthday party were only able to swim for about 20 minutes before they all got out saying that their skin itched and their eyes were blurry and aggravated. They said it was difficult to breathe as well. Poor ventilation and poor chemical use.Plus the rock wall consisted of a couple small strips that was floor to ceiling but the entire setup was only about 12 feet or so wide. A very small setup that really wasnt worth the time.Plus, the price for what we got was pretty ridiculous. We had to pay a charge for the room per hour plus the deposit. Plus $6 per child for each child that we had come. Im pretty sure there was another charge as well but I cant remember for sure. We had the room from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. I was finishing up the room right at 6:30 when the lady came in and told me I needed to hurry up because I was already late. She told me she was going to get me a caddy to do cleaning but it took her almost 10 minutes before she came back with it which put me almost 15 minutes over on my timing.To top it all off the older woman that was working there continued to follow the children around and be harsh with them every time they did something that she didnt like. They were not being disrespectful or rude. They were not using vulgar language. They were not destroying peoples property or causing any issues with the other guests. They were just a bunch of 14 year old kids trying to have a good time. After she snapped at them and told them that the facility was not their home and they could not be running around or being loud I had had enough. I explained to her that the facility was full of physical activities. Basketball. Rock climbing. Ping pong. A swimming pool. Exercise equipment. If the facility is going to allow 10 14 year old kids to have a birthday party there then they should expect the kids to get a little rambunctious. Im a very strict parent and I dont feel that they were going too far whatsoever. If she cant handle some kids being noisy and excited during a birthday party then maybe thats not the job for her. All in all, for what we paid and the service that we got while there, I was very disappointed and I would recommend going somewhere else for your teenagers birthday party.

Way to hot and lifeguards do not pay attention

Chesterfield Family Center is a great place to work out. The workout room overlooks the pool and is spacious. Chesterfield is good for all age groups and the pool is very big and has a great slide. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Friend had a childs birthday here. It was clean and the kids had a terrific time. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Has a great weight room, cardio facility and indoor pool. There are classes you can sign up for as well and the out door park is well maintained. There may be more services they offer that Im not aware of yet as I mostly just use it for weight training.

I just bought a year pass and have been more than satisfied with my decision. Chesterfield is one of three facilities included with the pass. Upon our first trip to Chesterfield the front staff were friendly. The lifegaurd shift-leader Eli stood out the most from our visit. He was very friendly and warm as he welcomed us to the pool area. I have never recieved hospitality from a pool before, but this guy nailed it. I look forward to many more visits here.

I was only there for a bday party, but it seemed fairly nice

You can pay $22 to take your two kids here to swim for a birthday, and theres a super fun looking water slide, that they refused to let my daughter use. My daughter is one inch shorter than their line to use the slide, and this was her birthday wish. They didnt care. My boy and I did go down, and they made him take his life vest off for safety. The joints in the slide scratched my back on the way down, and it was painful. The lifeguards yell at you if you touch the buoy rope, or get too far away from your kid if they have a life vest on. Dont forget the windows above the pool where a creepy old guy watches your daughter in her bathing suit. It did have water though, so it didnt just get one star. The staff was rude and demanding.

More inconsistent information and incompetent folks. Every Springfield gym has disappointed every time. Incorrect information on the website. The basketball gym is open for a very small time all day. Why have a basketball gym if you spend the whole time using it for a workout room??

I work at dominos, and the people here order multiple times every day. They are exempt from taxes, they get a discount for being the city of springfield and they also dont have to pay the delivery fee, yet not once in the hundreds of times Ive delivered here have I been tipped. They get their pizzas half off and it seems like they dont even care about their privileges.

Where to begin with this place; Im not one to complain, but this just grinded my gears. We went to the receptionist desk, all seemed to be good. It was my sister, her husband, their child, my girlfriend and I. The receptionist was very rude. She answered a call in the middle of talking to us, which wasnt unnatural, but then told the person she couldnt understand them and then proceeded to hang up on them as she rolled her eyes. She then treated us like we were not the brightest lightbulbs in the box, and talked like we were below her. Once we got to the family changing station we found out that there were no locks on the lockers, which wasnt that big of a deal. We went up to the front desk and had to buy a lock; it was six dollars. I could have gone to WalMart and got it for half the price. Most of the lifeguards were rude, ignoring our questions, shrugging them off, or saying I dont know. Once in the pool there were kids running everywhere, even in places where they shouldnt have been. Children were diving off the seperation platform, throwing balls up into the water buckets and almost hitting other kids, and shoving other kids around with no remorse. The only time I heard a life guard get onto a child was when they were running. Then, when we had all settled down for a good celebration of Fathers Day, I found a used tampon in the pool near the 310 marker. A USED tampon. We rushed out and changed quickly and booked it out as soon as possible. Very dissatisfied, and we will definetly not be coming back.

Love gym, courts, and being able to have all my kids playing on the basketball court is nice. Friendly staff and always clean.

I attend water aerobics. It is a great work out and does not hurt my knees.

The gym is starting to show its age with being around for 10+ years. But the indoor pool is still fun for kids and parents. But compared to other gyms it is still the best.

This center has excersize machines, free weights, a basketball court, indoor walking track, elliptical and running machine, stationary bikes, recumbent bikes and a generous pool with areas for lane swimming, a childrens area with a big slide and an area for water aerobics. There is also an outdoor track, soccer field with stadium seats, covered party area and bathrooms. It is all well maintained with staff on site and training staff available by appointment for a fee. The membership is about $ 200 per year.

My kids love this place! Last time we went it was $7.00 for kids. Not to bad and great staff and life guards are always on their mark with safety.

Been searching for place to play pickleball and found it here! Always very clean, plenty of staff to help out. There are many activities for young and old to keep busy and exercise. I get to participate for free through Silver Sneakers program.

People are very nice and equipment is decent. Best time to go is 830 am or after 630ish.
