An absolutely beautiful Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church, the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois. It is the home of our Bishop Thomas John Paprocki. I would invite anyone interested to attend one of the Masses held there either on weekdays or weekends.Easy access. Friendly parishioners. Close to downtown.Im not well versed in church design, so I cant describe it properly. Well worth the effort to see.

Im not a Catholic or anything, but I came here to see my boyfriend perform a trombone piece. The building was absolutely amazing to observe with beautiful at architecture and acoustics.

Beautiful church, music, and sermon.

This is Mother Church of our diocese. The windows are filled with beautiful stain glass windows. One that includes Abraham Lincoln. A great place for Mass, and prayer. The Masses and ceremonies with the Bishop are always a very impresive.

I have traveled the country for work. I have attended mass in some beautiful churches, and this is one of them. Services a typical Roman Catholic masses. The reflection on the readings by the priest are insightful and down to earth.

Beautiful church and liturgy. We visit here occasionally from out of town and the parishioners have always been very friendly.

The interior is absolutely beautiful. So glad it wasnt allowed to deteriorate. We attended Helen Calls funeral mass.

How can you not love the Cathedral? It is a gorgeous beautiful calm meditative cathedral. All problems with the Catholic Church aside this cathedral allows you to go take time and be quiet and pray. Also light a candle in memory or in prayer for someone.

Very friendly parishioners!! Mass was beautiful.

A beautiful, restful place of prayer. Confessions and Mass are offered daily. Sometimes I enjoy just coming to sit and pray in the middle of a hectic day. For the art inclined, the mosaics are okay but the windows are worth a stop. Many depict events in the history of the diocese and have themes and images somewhat unexpected for a church. The organ was just refurbished and offers great, full sound to accompany either Mass or one of the concerts offered in the space.

Love my church. Always friendly people and priests. Always good homilies.

Not particularly ornate for a cathedral. Major renovations occurred in the past few years. Impressive stained glass windows.

Love this holy place!! I am very in tuned with the Holy Spirit whenever Im here. The entire church is accenTed with gold, symbolizing a sacred place.
