The line was super long to get into the bright lights which is expected right now. They do have the lanes blocked off and cops making sure no one cuts which is nice. We went around 730 or so and waited almost an hour to get in. The lights are nice and the kids really enjoy. They have a rest area once inside with port o potties and lots of sanitizer. Its a nice mix of different lights. Even nicer when there is snow on the ground.

We took our 3 grand kids last night (Dec. 4th) to see the lights. We arrived 15 minutes before start time of 4:45, and we started our tour at about 4:50 or so. The lights were worth every penny of the admission; the grand kids were so excited, and our 9 year old grandson said that the experience was the second best experience of his life (first was when they got their dog!). Such a grand display during the ~20 minutes drive. The sponsors did a wonderful job, and the staff were professional and courteous. Thank you also to Big Y for promoting the venue, AND providing a discount for the admission ticket. Fabulous experience all around; thank you so much!!!

For 25 years now bright nights has been doing great Christmas lights displays. It is a lot of fun for little kids and is great for the city. I highly recommend it. The season pass is great if you are local enough to go often. Always great and busy when there is snow. The little village is a great stop too.

Bright Nights at Forest Park brings a nice lightening experience where you can go in and out in about 25-30 minutes and enjoy the drive through full of stunning lights..Traffic can be a tricky thing, if its a weekend..Some drives and turns get slows down as everyone tries to get a glimpse of shining lights and capture them in thier cameras while driving..The lights are featured by some of the special Christmas songs and tunes. Overall, its a unique drive through experience with holiday season along with holiday spirit in the city of Springfield, New England, Massachusetts.

Me & my parents come to this every year ever since I was a little kid & I still look forward to it. Best Christmas lights in the area. They also have a concession stand, horse & carriage ride, wagon ride, gift shop, Santa Claus, & a few kids rides. You can get a coupon on their website & a free membership card. I love it here!

Opening night is by far the most economical time to visit, but the wait is out of this world. Gas up before coming out snd be prepared to wait hours- do NOT hydrate or you will surely regret it. Law enforcement folks directing the traffic are unpleasant, aggro, unclear, not helpful and unwelcoming. Porta potties inside at the halfway point were a legitimate warzone of bodily fluids, stank, and death. The lights are always nice but I cant imagine paying the nearly $20 for a regular priced visit.

Bright nights is a fun time to spend with your children as you listen to Christmas music and look at all the pretty lights through the window. The drive itself lasts about 20-25 minutes, the traffic to get in usually lasts longer (depending on day of the week and weather conditions). Bright nights can be enjoyed on any night, but the experience is really exceptional when its actively snowing. There is Santas cottage halfway through, so make sure to turn in if you want to visit otherwise theres no way to make it back, as the drive is one-way. Light displays are on each side of the road and differ from section to section. $21 entry fee per vehicle. Bring holiday snacks/drinks to enjoy for an enhanced experience.EDIT: weekday entry is $18, weekend is $21

This is an amazing attraction for all ages! If you decide to attend, be advised to get there RIDICULOUSLY early. If you dont, you will be waiting in line for hours. Spectacular sight to see. It takes an entire month to set up all the lights! Definitely a holiday event to see at least once!!!

Review №34

Great place to go if you want to spend $20 to sit in traffic for 45 mins inside the park, not including the traffic outside waiting to get in. Better off driving down a side street during rush hour, at least youll see residential displays for free but youll still be stuck in the traffic. Felt like we would never get out of there, hard to enjoy the displays while sitting at a stand still without moving along ....we did enjoy the dinosaur display though.

Ma
Review №35

We have been going here for years with my children and then my grandson. We have always enjoyed it. This year we went with my daughter, her husband and our 1 year old granddaughter. She loved the lights, however the Santa experience was very disappointing. You cant use your own camera, and the prices for pictures were way overpriced! $50 for a package? Also the Santa did not welcome her or the other children we observed to sit on his lap or to talk. He gave them a wooden nickel and told them to put it with the cookies on Christmas Eve for an extra present. Very strange thing to hand a baby. We didnt stay. We wanted a better first time Santa experience.

Review №36

Bright Nights its self was very nice and pleasant. Even though you know most of the lights it still is magical. Good for bringing the holiday spirit. But getting there was not fun at all. Waiting in line which is to be expected. Having people cut you off to get ahead in line cause they dont want to wait was not acceptable. If you plan on going plan on being curtious and waiting in line.

Mi
Review №37

Very festive, it is reasonably priced, giving 3 stars since some of the lights were out this year and it would be great to see the event organizers mix it up a bit. The displays are essentially the same every year so after coming here for a few years, it just doesnt have the same impact anymore. But overall, we do like it!

The light display was impressive. The wait in the line and the tour was almost unbearable. I think there could be 2 lanes and an easier way to get in. The few mile drive took a little over 2 hours.

Review №41

This place is overrated, not worth the 25 bucks you pay during the weekend. Dont get me wrong, they do a good job at some parts but I have seen better elsewhere, i guess my exceptions were high. Yes you do sit in traffic longer than it takes to ride through the park!

Ni
Review №42

Definitely a great experience the first time, wouldn’t recommend it on a busy night if you have little kids though. Not only is the traffic horrendous but there is no organization for the line in, not only did we get cut off multiple times but also the in flow off traffic to the park itself is highly unorganized. We sat in line from 6:15 till around 9:30. WASTE OF TIME.

It was great 2 years ago when we went after Christmas. This year we went on a Sunday before Christmas and waited in traffic for 20 min. Per 1/10th of a mile. We gave up after being in traffic for an hour. I would recommend going on a weekday night and/or after Christmas. It is worth going as long as the wait is shorter.

Come here Evey year with the whole family so its usually 2 car loads! Takes about 45 mins to an hour to get thru the whole thing depending on the pace of the other cars. I would suggest to bring a car or van where you can shut your headlights off. Some people dont and it ruins the experience for everyone else! Great laughs this year saw some new ones too! Deff a nice family tradition, theres always a line so just be prepared for that. Half way thru you can stop at their gift shop /hot choc stand and bathrooms.

Attempted to go last night but was turned away by a screaming police officer. I realize this is a holiday event and that its busy and Im more than prepared to wait. However, screaming police and people almost hitting us was way too much. Traffic is managed poorly and the police are either overwhelmed or just cranky, not sure which. We ended up turning around and driving home after waiting an hour to move 1/10th of a mile. Will not be back. This is in stark contrast to events like the Big E which handles thousands of visitors annually with little to no traffic problems.

My family loves this attraction! Very festive! We live nearby and have visited it at least 8 times, including with extended family. Even now that my son is older, we still love to go through and look for our favorite displays (like the volcano in the jurassic park area, or the grinch and other characters in Seuss Land, and the game of Life). Our holiday season always feels a little more complete when we make it to Bright Nights. Highly recommend :)

Children of all ages enjoy the lights. Problem is they have not changed the light display since it started. My children are young enough that they haven’t caught on so we keep going. The cost is high for being rather short especially on weekends when the lines are long.
