Great trail, fun to walk and see the water and lots of wildlife usually. Only issue is there are lots of bikes and it can be dangerous to walk with kids if youre not careful.

Gathuring with friends and family. Close to home. Long and glorious winding bike trail or walk trail, skate board ECT. through our woodlands, following along with the McKenzie River along side you. Resting spots to take in the beauty or sit on a bench with your sweetie. Plenty of birds to watch or chat with and see fishing river boats as well.

Great water access with multiple good spots for swimming. Gorgeous bike paths that you can start on from downtown Springfield and ride all the easy out. Easy hiking trails. In the summer though heed my warning! Lol.. do not forget your bug spray as evening approaches.. they come in swarms in certain areas.

There are several walking trails and a bike path that runs alongside the Willamette river. Good spot for walking your dog or just taking a stroll. The boat landing has a long beach of small rocks for lounging around. If you want to float the river Clearwater is my favorite spot to start at, it only takes 2-2 1/2hrs to reach Day Island Park and no real dangerous spots along the way to have to worry about (this year anyways)

Theres usually a lot people, & some different types of people you wish to not spend a day in close proximity with. It is a hot spot do to lots of little water holes as you hike through the tree covered dirt trail. They also have a little decent free disc golf course if youre looking to start, or if you just want to keep yourself on your A game, for those weekend disc golf plans at a bigger course with friends. There are times the course isnt kept up so well, so you can spend some frustrating time searching for your disc in the tall grass... if you happen to be having an off day, or arent a seasoned player yet.

Its a good park to go to. It has a gravel bar so the kids can hang out and play with a spot that they can play in the water thats not to deep and the gravel bar separates them from the current. It has bathrooms and some picnic tables (could use a few more but whatever.) It has a lot of parking and boat parking with paved bike trails leading through it which is awesome.

Nice park, with two boat ramps. I dont have a boat, so I dont know how user-friendly they are...one seems a little steep. Lots of parking, though the boat trailer spots arent pull through, which seems weird to me. Two bathrooms with flush toilets, one at the boat ramp, one at the trailhead. Its well-maintained and clean, and with the trailhead there its quite a popular spot. If there weathers nice, you can count on a crowd.

Review №43

Clearwater is one of my favorite spots. Just bring the mosquito repellent! There are 2 ramps leading into the river, one of which is no longer accessible to boats/vehicles making it a nice area to hang out, multiple trails that run along the river going both east and west, a disc golf course, picnic benches, lots of shade and ample parking. Plus there is an onsite manager that keeps the park, including both sets of bathrooms, clean and stocked.Seriously though, bring the mosquito repellent- they are notoriously awful at Clearwater!!**IMPORTANT REMINDER: The river is beautiful but can turn dangerous very quickly- the current is strong and fast, the water is very cold and there are many obstructions in the water such as fallen trees & large rocks.Stay safe, life jackets save lives.**
