So much fun! Went with my 6 and 9 year old they are begging me to go back already! I was nervous about my 6 year old doing it he’s on the smaller side and doesn’t even like rides at amusement parks but he was able to climb everything and loved the zip line. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone is to keep 6 ft apart masks are worn around others. They have gloves that can be bought there. They also provide water. Overall great experience.
Awesome experience and safety rules and guidelines for COVID were in place and followed. Thanks
It was a lot of fun. They are well organized and it did not feel crowded at all.
Staff was great. They monitored the course and educated on equipment. They helped make the experience so much better.
This place is amazing. Adventures for everyone in the family. The kids love it and so do adults. The best thing is most people leave with new confidence after conqueroring the high trees and swaying ropes.
We love GoApe so much that we bought an annual membership which gives us unlimited visits to any location (the next closest one is in Rockville, MD) and 30% off guest tickets. The kids have a blast, its good exercise. Even on hot days its not too hot under the trees. Masks and gloves with fingers are required. You can buy the gloves at check in.
We had a blast!! We took my son for his 18th bday. He took it as a challenge that there fastest finisher of all the courses was an hour and a half. He beat it by 3 minutes. Its a hell of a workout and so much fun!! I cant wait to go back again some time!
Super fun and worth the money! Kids had a blast too. Great workout too! Cant wait to go again in the future.
Our family had a lot of fun! First time at Go Ape. We will go again
During the COVID-19 pandemic those guys required all attendees to wear not only the masks (which is a state requirement), but the gloves. And instead of providing them or selling at cheap price (as people came to use their services), they are selling them at $9 a pair. Looks like this is companys requirement and they couldve given then for free to those who is paying for their services. This is greedy and unfair to make an extra buck on pandemic.
It was a lot of fun. My 7yr old daughter loved the treetop journey!
Well worth the price. Staff is friendly and helpful. We did the junior course with my 6 year old and it was a challenge for him. He is not ready for the main course, but for I’m young kids, and out of shape dads, junior course is a lot of fun!
Been trying to book a party for my sons birthday for about a week now, but the response time from the sales solution specialist has been lagging (between 1-2 days.) The date of the party is next Saturday and I am still unsure if I am able to secure our preferred time slot. If I dont hear back by the end of the day, I may unfortunately have to throw the birthday somewhere else. Sad about it because we were really looking forward to this experience.
The staff was great. My daughter had a blast. The family enjoyed this day out.
What an excellent way to spend the day! My husband and I came for our anniversary. It was great and I felt safe the whole time. The guides stay on the ground so you get some independence which we enjoyed. You are always attached to a closed loop cable safety system, so it would be hard to get hurt unless you did something really stupid. It is a fantastic full body workout. We were both pretty sore after, it requires a lot of upper body strength (which I dont have much of).Im already planning my next trip, I highly recommend!
The zip line and park are very fun but it is much a worth the drive to Norfolk for the outdoor adventure for the same price its twice the fun
Great adventures! The zip line courses are fun! You must come if you can get a Groupon deal. I recommend wear a pair of sport gloves. I peeled my middle finger skin so Im had to give up the rest of the courses. The treetop adventure had 5 complete courses. Dont buy the journey one unless you are with your young ones.
Its fun but you can only go on each one once
Excellent and challenging course. Wonderful staff. Lots of fun!
Overall a great experience! A little expensive though. One of the six courses was closed when we went. Also, the sewage truck came by during our time there so it was quite a smelly experience. But our instructor Greyson was awesome :)
This rope course was horrific. The staff were really nice and helpful but the course itsself is fundamentally horrible. The trolly system is flawed. If there is a slow group in front you cant switch places. The pace is set by the people in front. Half of the obstacles are cheatable meaning you can Zipline past it and get to the other side. This is a problem because people will catch up to you and theyll have a problem with you being slow I have done a lot of these courses and go ape was by far the worst. I would recommend the sandy springs adventure park or the one in Harpers ferry. Its cheaper and way better. I hope this helped people who were wondering if they should come.
Went for a kids birthday party, my 6 year old daughter loved it!
Really fun. Cant wait to go back and try the bigger coarse.
Really cool staff and awesome that theyre taking safety precautions seriously. Definitely fun and touch obstacles!
Absolutely amazing! Although it can be emotionally demanding. Have fun!!!
Even though we were rained out. The staff was super helpful and courteous in allowing us to take a rain check for a future date.
So fun!! Great helpers there to assist.
Fun time Great place to challenge your children
Lots of fun and very safe!
This was amazing cant wait to go again
It is hard but u have fun
So much fun! We took our son and his friend for his birthday. They are athletic/adventurous 7-8 year olds and managed the Treetop Journey with no problem, but loved every minute. Its definitely on the easy side for adults, but I still felt challenged. There are three courses to do, and you can do them as many times in your hour as you can. Each time you complete a course, you take a zip line to the bottom, which is fun. They were running about 10 minutes late, but made that time up to us and were otherwise organized. The ropes course staff was awesome, helpful and upbeat. Everything is in great condition, felt very safe.
I mentor a young man affected by autism and we go on adventures every week. This past week, we decided to check out GoApe at South Run Park.Since it was his first time and we were afraid of getting caught in the rain, we tried the junior course. At check in, we accidentally received the wrong paperwork and were given adventure course paperwork to fill out instead of junior course paperwork. After reading through it and helping him fill it out, we had to then fill out another sheet for the junior course. A little inconvenient but not horrible.A short wait and our instructor Nathaniel picked us up and escorted us down to the junior course. We got into harnesses. Instructor Emily took her time getting my friend into his harness. He isnt very fond of touching, but she did her best to keep him comfortable through the awkwardness of harnessing for your first time.Next, we began our safety briefing and finally it was time to get up on the course. There were only 2 other people on the course with us. They cruised through the obstacles and allowed us to move at a great place behind them and we were able to do all 3 junior course sections 2 times. We did his favorite section 1 more time and he was tired and ready for lunch. We ended 5 minutes before our hour was up. We only had to wait at the Zipline once since there were only 2 other people on the course.Next time we go, we are going to try and adventure course. If doing the junior course, I would definitely try and pick a slow day like a day with potential rain to get the most out of your hour. You get 1 hour on the junior course. When making your plans, its good to know your hour starts after you receive your safety briefing. For 4 people in our group, it took ~20 minutes to get us harnessed and briefed. I can imagine how things could get backed up when its busy in harnessing, briefing, and when trying to go down the ziplines since all 3 sections end at the same 2 ziplines managed by an instructor. It was a great first try for my friend to try something new and Im excited to go again and Live Life Adventerous at GoApe.
The place was very well run with friendly service
The ziplines are a joke and youre not permitted to do the only good courses unless youve registered for a few hours
We had a great time!
Tons of fun, great for kids of most ages
I went to Go Ape on Monday and did the Treetop Junior with my six year old daughter...the staff was great from checking in to starting. The front desk person was polite and friendly. When we got to start, the male who helped my daughter (Haley) was extremely nice and friendly to my daughter to ensure that she was not scared. He took his time and explained everything to her...throughout our time there, the male who helped my daughter and another female remembered my daughters name and encouraged her along the way or when she may have been apprehensive about trying a course. Without these two staff members my daughter may have not wanted to try anything out of fear. Thanks again and we will definitely be back...my daughter wanted to come back on Tuesday, however, I told her will come back another time. Also, when leaving out the female staff member must have been going on break, however, she saw me and my daughter taking a picture at the exit sign, she offered to take a picture of me and my daughter together...great experience.
Slippery when wet, but still lots of fun!
Great experience! We rescheduled a few times because of conflicts, and they were always accommodating. It was fun and challenging at the same time. The staff was great in encouraging our young kids through the courses, even climbing up themselves to help my daughter at one point. They loved the zipline at the end of each course. We will definitely go back again!
Lots of fun! A little pricey but would do it for especial occasions again!
Awesome Time!!
I loved the place and experience. We went for my husband’s bday and that was awesome, from staff to the experience! We had lots of fun and will def come back. Highly recommended.
Instructors super sweet! Nikki lent me her boots and I will never forget her. I had back strap sandals on. Thats the best heartfelt customer service I ever had!!️️So if youre an adult with a fear of heights take.a Xanax because you are definitely in for it on obstacle courses before zip lines. Looks harmless from below - up on planks not so much lol
TL;DR Theres no way to detach yourself if you get injured without walking to the end of each course and they will force you to delay medical treatment by not allowing you to leave without filling out additional paperwork.Broke my ankle on the course 5 zipline. There was a sharp incline made from mulch and as I was landing, I followed the safety instructions to make a running motion, but the impact caused my foot to be buried in the mound of mulch. As I continued to move forward, my ankle bone fractured.I slowly hauled myself up but realized that I could not detach myself from the zip-line without walking to the end (10-15 feet away), but I also couldnt walk without help. Thankfully, there was an employee with a first aid kit nearby, and he helped my hobble to the end. He gave me an ice pack and called in my injury, as my boyfriend zip-lined down to meet us now that the landing area was clear. They offered to call an emergency vehicle, but I asked my boyfriend to take me to urgent care instead. The employee over the walkie talkies told us that we couldnt leave without filing an injury report, even though we offered to take the paperwork with us and email it back due to the urgency of my injury. They refused so we stayed an extra 10 minutes, filling out paperwork... The employee who was helping me did his best to ameliorate the situation, providing me water while my boyfriend filled out the injury report as quickly as possible. The employee patrol was helpful and the courses were fun, but the fact that they delayed medical care for a serious injury concerns me, and I would not return.
What a blast! Safety is a big priority. Fun is also a big priority. Will definitely do it again
Awesome date night!
My kiddos and I we have so much fun. staff super helpful super nice
Lots of fun every time. Staff was great and helpful. Have been more than once and will go again!. (All ages from 5 yr old to 44 yrs old here!)
Its not like other big tall zip line. But its still fun
Great adventure!!! Took my kids 14 & 16 over the summer. We went on the highest course even though we have a fear of heights. Seemed like a bad choice once we got all the way up there but being harnessed in made us feel good. The instructor was great, answered all of our questions and made sure we were secure. There are 5 courses so we were there for a while. It was a really great feeling to complete each one. We had a blast!!! My only recommendation is to wear gloves. Two of us ended up with several blisters. Guessing we had a death grip on the ropes :) Go check it out!!
This was so much fun! We did the junior run with my 4 yo and he had a blast. He was initially scared but the staff were super friendly and helpful. One of the associates got up with us to help my son get comfortable. She was amazing and my son was happily doing the course after a few minutes. I am looking forward to going back asap! The place is in the shade so this is a great way to spend some time outdoors if you dont want to be completely out in the sun. That being said, the course if up in the trees so it may be a little too scary for some younger kids.
It was nice, but course 6 was closed and the other courses werent challenging enough.
My husband and I got surprise tickets from his sister and it couldnt have gone better! We were greeted by a bunch of smiling and helpful experts who constantly made sure to be there if and when we needed them. A special shout out goes to our personal instructor, Brenna, who was so sweet, incredibly knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Without her, our trip might not have been so smooth and so much fun!The course at Springfield had 5 different courses to complete, all of which were challenging in different ways and were so much fun!We cant wait to go back and to try all the other GoApe courses!
Fun! Friendly! Good for all ages. Cant wait to return and tackle their Big Adventure.
I went for my birthday with 3 adults. It was a great experience and really let us step outside our comfort zones. We will definitely be back!
I had an amazing time with my daughter. Such an excellent adventure to go on with her.. We created a forever memory with this one
Brought my husband here for his birthday yesterday, he left with a big smile on his face from ear to ear. It was fantastic fun, it challenged us both and gave alternate routes to each course depending on the skill level of the participant, which was much appreciated! The staff were amazing, courteous, accommodating, and friendly - they were very helpful especially if I needed my harness adjusted. I have a small fear of heights, but was able to overcome and had a blast with my husband. We couldn’t stop ranting and raving, and can’t wait to come back again for more!
Very fun! My kid loves it! Will definitely go again.
Amazinnngggggg
Had a great time going thru the ropes and zip line course. The adult course has 6 levels, which start the easiest -> hardest. Between each course you have short down time where water is provided. Two big thumbs up.*Highly recommend bringing gloves*
We had an absolute BLAST at this place! We will be going back again VERY soon, possibly this weekend. Give it a try!
Cool place
Fun way to spend an afternoon being active with the family. Highly recommend it.
It was terrible survival
Great service and fun time, lots of bottlenecks on the courses but overall really worth going!
Highly recommend for children of all ages. Great bonding time for anyone. The staff are clearly trained to handle children with a fear of heights. They handled our issue expertly and by the end of the time, the kid was begging to do more. Just amazing confidence building. Thank you Go Ape!
Outstanding outing for families. Took my kids and nephews and we spent four hours going through all the courses. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities are well maintained. Safety is paramount, and everyone takes it seriously. The equipment was in good repair and the scenery was great. Zip lines were really fun.
Amazing experience! Molly was a wonderful help there and just a tip ===>> BRING GLOVES ! U’ll not regret it
Great place if you want to do a birthday party.
Awesome
Balls hurt in the harness
Fun and challenging for the kids and adults. We had a great time and would do it again.
Awesome for kids parties! We hosted my 9 year old daughters birthday party here this weekend and I cant say enough good things about the staff and the facility. We did Treetop Junior with 9 kids and 3 adults and everything worked like clockwork. The prices for groups are very reasonable, especially compared to other NOVA birthday party venues. They let us set up a table and chairs under their tent and we ate cake & pizza after the course. The staff are friendly and efficient and so great with making the kids feel comfortable and stretch their boundaries. My 4 year old did well with the treetop obstacles, but completely froze up when we got to the zip line. The staff worked with him on the practice course down in the ground and within 15 minutes they had him zipping down from above. After that he was begging to go again. This was opening weekend and it was pretty busy, so Id suggest you get in to try it before the rest of nova discovers it is open!
Great time. Went with 6 to 40 year olds
Went today with a group of 8 adults for a birthday. We had a great time. Im not the most physically fit so it was a bit challenging but extremely fun. The staff were serious about our safety but were very friendly. I had a great time and want to go back with the kids for sure. Spent about 3 hours and did all of the courses.
A lot of fun but definitely difficult. Everyone who worked there was wonderful and helpful. I had to use a lot of upper body strength so depending on the person it could be very hard. A really great time had by everyone in our group.
Very bad
What a fun day. Some challenging obstacles, especially in the wind today. Elizabeth was an awesome instructor. Will definitely be doing again sometime once my muscles heal. Think I found a couple new ones, especially on the tight rope in stage 6.
Its a fun place to zip and type rope
We had a really great time. It make the experience better if you didnt have to wait so long for the zip line at the end of the junior course. We should have been able to do the course one or two more times if we didnt have to wait so long. Maybe consider not over booking the times to allow for the zip line waiting.
Loved this place! The staff was helpful and outgoing. In general a fun time for both my 4 and 6 year old. I highly recommend it!
Most friendly staff members!! I brought my son for the first time and he had so much fun. Definitely, recommend and most likely to come back, such an amazing experience! :)
Had fun, going again when its not 100 degrees and humid. Made it through 3/6 courses and decided to leave do to the heat. Good workout and the entire staff was helpful.
We never got to do the adventure because it began to thunder. However, they do not provide refunds at all. Only a rain check. It annoyed me only because I have a hunch of people from out of town and wouldn’t be coming back any time soon. Would not recommend
Had an absolute blast! The course instructors made everyone feel safe and secure while on the treetop adventures, and Elizabeth was especially helpful and enthusiastic! The park and equipment felt clean and secure. I highly recommend this experience to those interested.
I used to go Go Ape in UK. There are 2 Go Ape 1 hour from Richmond on opposite directions. I had tried Williamsburg last time now this one in Fairfax county. I liked Williamsburg one more exciting. Any way it’s good place to spend your & kids day off.
Its easy to follow and an enjoyable experience.
