Clean rides, friendly staff, fun times!

Walked through the midway going to the main part of the fair, it seemed like the kids were having a great time. The lines got longer as the day went by, but it seemed like no one was upset by it. I dont do rides, but it was good to see all the kids having fun. I also liked the strong presence of police in the area making sure everything goes good.

Always have the same rides/games with maybe a new one added every 10 years, this was that year with a giant skateboard pendulum attraction that wasnt actually attractive. Youre better off spending your time and money going to six flags or somewhere else far from here.

Variety of rides for all ages. Had a great time at the Springfield state fair. Lots to do and see. Really loved the piggy races for the oreo cookie.

Rode a couple rides with my girls but they rode alot. They had a blast

Super fun! Just wish the dang tickets werent so pricey!! The good adult attractions just cost too many tickets!!

Too expensive to ride. Tickets were $1 each big rides took 4 or 5 tickets each so for two people one ride was $10... Crazy... We can get tickets to holiday world for what we spent there.

Fun filled place. Family environment. Loved the fireworks and the homemade shaved ice..

Enjoyed! As most carnival companies are trying to get by, Midway seems to be taking the challenge to continue to improve. Yes, some rides have some age to them, but new rides for the younger kids definitely show they care about improving! Ive gone to the Illinois State Fair for over 20 yrs and the quality seems to be getting better each year.

Kids had fun,priced reasonable.$2 tickets and all rides just 1 ticket.

The best place in Central Illinois during the state fair.

Just checking on the progress of the collosium. I hate that they refer to this area as the midway as I have always felt the midway should be in Happy Hollow. The fair grounds has such potential that is often overlooked. The Grandstand that is only used a couple times a year when we should be bringing in acts through out the summer. Buildings like the Expo that sit empty when it should be utilized for everything from huge flea markets to drawing crowds of visitors for events. The Illinois building has heat and A/C if I remember correctly and just sits there. When will the director of AG or whoever runs the grounds do something.

Been going to the state fair for over twenty years and every year we have a blast!! Getting the mega pass is the best way to go, unlimited rides for the entire fair. Lots of food vendors all around so whatever youre in the mood for is right here.

This is the first year over into the main Midway with my granddaughter.We usually stay over at the smaller kids area.We really liked all the different choices of rides over there but a bunch of them didnt seem to be open.

The fair glad it is only once a year dont need a carni being rude to my daughter and calling her fat

Too expensive. Every ride averaged $4.50 per person per ride. Wow!!!

Loved the funnel cake. $1 tea refills at Tiki Tea....well worth it on a hot day.

The ROUND UP WAS HELD HERE ON THE CAMP GROUNDS. . SHOUT OUT TO SPRINGFIELD, IL FOR HOSTING THE NATIONAL BLACK BIKER ROUND UP..
