My 5 year old child loves this park. There is so much to do and explore including a very expansive jungle gym, and xylophones. Probably our favorite park in Shreveport/Bossier City.
Solid park with big trees, a new playground, and a concrete walking/jogging trail that goes around the perimeter. Neighborhood is good for running in early morning.
Beautiful & relaxing. Theres something for everyone to play on ♡
We LOVE this park!! It really challenges our little kiddos! :-)
Nice park kept in good condition. The park is generally free of litter and the bathrooms are fairly clean.
Great place to take out our kids and during summer. They have the water foundation. Clean and a lot space. Just all around good school next door
A Big, spacious park with lots to do! A huge field, lots of play equipment and little sprinklers for a hot day. They even have musical equipment there thats pretty unique. The small parking lot next to a busy street is the only downside but overall a great place for the family to have fun.
Very nice park for the kids
Very clean and well maintained for a park here is Shreveport. I feel safe with my kids at this park. The playground is great and my kids love it.
Park was nice but the grass needs to be cut..way to tall
This is a wonderful place to take the kids. Splash pad, swings, a huge play ground. My kids love it!
Great space for kids to play
Needs a little upgrading but not a bad Park
A.C. Steere park is a gem in the crown of Broadmoor, one of Shreveports most beloved subdivisions. It is connected to the school grounds of A.C. Steere Elementary School. Theres something for everyone whether you want to play tennis, walk or jog on the level paths, watch a soccer match, or relax on one of the many benches or have a picnic. Theres a dynamite playground and even a splash park. The open areas regularly host events. The old trees surrounding the park are as historic as the park itself. Access is simple. Parking can be challenging at times.
Picnic area not clean enough insects crawling all over the table had to get up and leave.
Took a frieds kids to park. Wow, its really nice, clean and safe. 10 out of 10 I recommend .
Wow is the best word for this public park. The park/playground area is just huge such that many kids can be playing at once without ever feeling crowded out. The handicap accessibility in this park is also some of the best Ive EVER seen with multiple entry points into the elevated playground area such that you dont have to double back and try to turn around in your stroller or wheelchair to turn around. There were several shaded areas with park benches for parents to sit and watch their kids having a blast. Highly recommend this free, public park!
This park is HUGE. There is so much for the kids to do. There are swings, slides, a jungle gym, and even a splash pad. I have taken my son here a few times and it was never really busy. There are benches to sit, and the park is naturally shaded with big trees. Such a great place for kids.
Best park in the area. Wish Bossier would invest in decent parks.
Kids love the water sprinklers and instrumemts
Clean well lighted park with long walking trail.
My toddler loves this place. Musical instruments, wheelchair accessible jungle gyms, and a splash pad. Lots of shade and room to run in thy field behind the park.
Really great park for the little ones. Nice open Field for your sports fan. Has a splash fountain, always a choice for a day out
Incredible park! What kid couldnt just love this? Be warned that the park is closed during school hours. The teachers were very kind asking me to leave with my 2-year-old when the school kids were coming out to play at recess.
This park is absolutely wonderful! We were stopping mid trip for a leg stretch and had trouble getting the kids to leave. The park was really well thought out with many activities to help balance and coordination.
Good place to walk or jog. Lights on at night mean you can set up a game of soccer or frisbee. Bathrooms on site are a plus.
I used to go there and the park is amazing
Playground was our stop.Great place. This interactive park clearly was designed for all.The designer of this park considered sounds, and skills of all possible attendees.
Really clean park for kids heck I played here when I was young
This is one of the if not the nicest park in the Shreveport Bossier area. Lots of playground equipment for the kiddos to play on. They have a splash pad in the summer time, a large open field behind the park for soccer games or just running around . A walking trail around the park and field as well. Great park for little children as well as older children. A must on a nice day! Please note I think the park is not available during school hours so before going double check with a.c. steere school
Closed during school hours
Shreveports Purple Park is great for families. A large field for various groups activities such as Kiting or perhaps Frisbee. While you are there be sure to visit Chets place, one of the last Spanish observation towers in all of Louisiana.
Excellent local park in a good location. This park has a field, walking track, tennis courts, an older traditional play ground, and a newer, fully accessible playground. Compared to other parks, this one is well taken care of by the city and its users.
A great park with a large jungle gym for the kids and wide spaces for playing ball. Not open during school hours, but great for weekends. In the summer time theres a water feature for the children to play in.
Nice park. Plenty of kids at any given time and its pretty well shaded
Easily accessible playground equipment for any age.
Beautiful Park, nicely maintained, and a wonderful place to spend time with the whole family.
This went from being a place to walk around to a really awesome park. In the summer there is a magical water spray place that turns on at the touch of a hand. Perhaps the best part is the musical chimes open to any player. The tones are arranged so that even a clumsy or repetitive player can hardly help making a beautiful sound and Ive heard real musicians turn it into something that will break your heart. The jungle gym complex is the largest in the are and there are more than enough swings, which is sometimes an issue at other parks. Plenty of benches and gardens for adults to sit and relax while the kids play. And there is still the path for those who just want to walk around.
I got here without my kids when I want peace and time to get refocused. It allows one to actually be in the now and admire all of Gods beautiful creations.
Safe feel, diverse culture of parents-kids on the playground, huge soccer field which was in use by an adult group when I visited, and a nice track at the perimeter. The toddler playground is sectioned separate from the big kids area. There are life-sized instruments for the kids to play w/my favs being the xylophone and chimes.
Family fun!
Big nice wide open fields for kids to play, also has a tennis court. 3 parking lots and a nice playground area..
Love this park. My children always have a great time here. Lots of options for kids of all ages.
Nice park with a good playground. Two big fields with a rugby match going on.
The kids always have fun here. Its a large play ground with a water area.
The Leaps and Bounds Playground is a really nice place for children of all ages. It is wheelchair accessible with some shaded areas, musical instruments, benches, and a splash pad for the summer. This is a good and safe playground for children with special needs.
My kids had a blast with the water fountains it was so enjoyable and the fountains and traffic made a good cool breeze so nobody got too hot.
Great centrally located park with the biggest playground in the area. Its an all-abilities playground to boot. Plenty of pickup soccer games going on and rugby practice.
This is the Playground for the AC Steer Elementary school. I was really impressed. It had a large variety for the kids but most importantly the play area is completely fenced just right settings the play area not the entire field.
The kids loved it, just wish there was more than 2 picnic tables
Great fun has water fountain for kids to stay cool
The elementary school uses this as a playground during school hours but it is accessible after hours.
A very nice park for the family and also open feels for community activities I go there to watch the Shreveport rugby team play
I love this park it has more to it then your basic parks
Its clean and nice place to bring the kids
Super cool park! My kids were ecstatic when we pulled in and saw it. They didnt complain at all about being bored which is amazing. There is a section with musical instruments for the kids to play on. There are swings--regular swings and baby swings. The play ground is massive with lots to explore and do. There is a smaller area for toddlers and a splash pad for the summer months. Its really a cool place to go. I noticed a walking trail and a large field behind the play area, but I didnt go back there. Looked nice, though!
Other than the fact you cant take your pre_ schoolers or just enjoy a relaxing day
SPAR keeps our parks and green spaces beautiful
My girls love it here
Great place for kids. Has a place where they can play in the water.
So much fun with family Ya Allah(Oh God) we enjoyed it..
One of the best parks in Shreveport. Open and people are not climbing all over you. There is enough space to play almost any sport. They also have a trail that is well taken care us that after 4 laps equals a mile.
Nice place for the kids to play and relax
It was great. My daughter loved it
A great park. Good for pokemon go as well.
Was a good place to play tennis, good atmosphere, and alot of people. Good park to go to.
Great place tennis swings slides walking trail...nice place...safe
Very nice park. The parking on the other hand, thumbs down.
Great price, great fun for kids of all ages!
Great place to bring the kids. Large park
Fun walking around with my pet.
Nice little park for children
This park could be so nice(especially for shreveport) but every time we come here its trashy. The grass is usually tall and the exhibits/equipment are broken. I would be embarrassed if my name were on the supporters plaques. Its such a shame. Seems that Shreveport is turning in to a dump.
Really good park whether you want to play sports on the large fields or have small kids. Centrally located. Well maintained. Very nice atmosphere considering its right on one of the citys biggest thoroughfares.
Its a peaceful and clean park with a wholesome family feel.
My kids love it.. Nice park
This park is built for all kids. Even those in wheel chairs. Has a water feature and learning sections. Great visit.
Unfortunate there is not any public parking close. We have to park across the field from the playground and carry kids and toys, food and drinks, so it is labor intensive. When the field is muddy it is really unpleasant. We are irritated that we cannot bring the 2 and 3-year-olds here to play before 3:30 M-F. Very unfortunate, as that is the time we need to be leaving the park, not arriving.any of the musical pipe instruments need to be repaired; parts are missing and the majority of then pipe segments need to be tightened down. The playground equipment is perfect AND PURPLE, so that thrills the children, and me.
Great shade! Water park and playground are cool too. Nice place to picnic, splash, and play for the kids.
Nice, clean park. I like how its gated and theres only two entrances on either side. Also the kids love the sprinklers and they are always having events here!
Love it perfect for your kids 0 - 14yrs of age and fenced for protection.
I play on a rugby league and we practice on the pitch at the park. Its pretty nice. No large holes or patches of grass missing. Usually pretty busy with other people exerising or practicing football/rugby.
Was walking to get exercise but its too hot in Louisiana. .
My boys and my mother had a blast. Best park Ive seen. Love it
Outstanding time. The kids enjoyed it even more.
Its a very cool place for kids
Its a wonderful park. I only wish that the xylophone were installed again. Have a blessed day!
Kids had a great time
Love it my kids do too
The grass needs to be cut and some dirt work / leveling needs to be done in the fields.
Nice setting that has everything, water park, tennis, soccer and I nice walking trail around park.
