This is a great place in all weather. Stunning when the tide is low and the sun is out. Dramatic when its cloudy and windy. This is our family place to reset our heads and bodies. Good workout place for you mountain climbers in training as there is a long steep driveway, stairs, and also flat places along the bluff to walk with panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountain Range.
Nice beach, not crowded, everyone social-distanced from each other and were wearing masks. Water was cool, so it was perfect (we went on a particularly hot day). Sand is pebbly so I recommend water shoes, but it was great :) had so much fun.
There are restaurants and parks that allows people to get inside the water. There are also ships and the Bay with amazing scene. Not extremely amazing, but a good place to go when the weather is good.
Nice park with lots of picnic areas above and beach access. Great views, plenty of parking though this park is so popular, it can still get crowded. A lot of people come here to smoke weed, esp the parking lots near the top.
Great beach to take kids and pets for a quick stroll. Lots of wildlife and nature around. Also some very interesting informative bords to teach about marine wildlife in the area. It is around a 1,000ft walk from the nearest parking to the beach, and the hill to get to the beach is quite steep. If you have a stroller or a wheelchair I would be careful going up/down the hill.I will be back at some point to take more photos, there was so much to see and I was running out of daylight.Photos taken with a Nikon D7500 and a Nikkor 70-300mm lens.
Beautiful Beach. Found this little fella hanging out waiting for mama at shore. The beach is long so lots of space for people to spread out and have their own area.
The view is calm and expansive. Many levels. Great for wedding/prom photography.
These are important time of social distancing and wearing mask. Richmond Beach offers, among other amenities, safe ocean viewing and clean bathrooms. The views are spectacular. Easy access and family friendly.
I spent the afternoon here, looking at pretty rocks and lying in the warm sand. There were quite a few people here, but everyone was following social distancing guidelines. The parking lot(s) are open. There’s also a fitness area, including over 150 stairs (not necessary to navigate stairs for beach access).
Took my daughter out to practice driving and we ended up at the saltwater park. There is a lot of room to spread out and take a nice walk on the sound. Have some shelters and picnic tables too. If you like exercise, the steps to the top of the park will get your heart thumping! Overall, a beautiful spot to enjoy the beach and maybe see some marine life if you are lucky!
This was a last minute plan and it turned out to be awesome. The drive to this park is beautiful with nice quaint houses dotting the landscape. The drive from the entrance to the lowest parking area is lined up with breathtaking views of the sound and the Olympics across the sound.Lots of parking spots but are usually full on a warm summer day. Be prepared to wait around for 10-15 min to get a spot. The beach is nice by PNW standards. Pebbles and seaweed all around but has some nice sandy patches too. There are no picnic tables on the beach but some on the walk to the beach. There are couple of restrooms but not very well maintained and if possible avoid them.People are nice and its fun on the beach for the kids. Water is cold but once you are in it.... It becomes bearable. You can also launch small kayaks and paddle boards on this beach as long as you can carry it 500 yards from the car to the beach.
Always such a pleasure to be so close to everything and yet feel like youre so very close to nature.
Beautiful beach, ample parking, and plenty of room to social distance! Stair trail from street level to beach has several workout stations, tons of picnic tables, grassy areas, and playgrounds. Just over the train track is a fabulous rocky beach with amazing views - awesome for kites!
Ample free parking space for more than 50 cars.Bathrooms are located at the parking lot area and the beach area and are open. In both the parking lot bathrooms and beach area bathrooms, for womens bathroom, two stalls and one sink. No soap dispenser. Mens bathroom. One stall and one urinal, one sink and no soap dispenser. From the parking lot to the beach area is about 250 - 300 steps depending on where you park and where you decide to hang out on the beach. Most of the people wore mask and respected the 6 feet apart social distancing.
Wonderful place. Convenient to get to as well. Plenty of parking.
Avoid at all costs. Dismal views during sunsets. Horrid and dangerous neighborhood.
Always a fun time. Parking fills up fast on the weekends.
Nice little beach. Make sure to check the weather in advance before coming. Its best when theres some sunlight. You could look for other options if its cloudy/raining.
Sunny Tuesday afternoon during Covid. Plenty of space to sit and not worry about social distancing. A little more crowded closer to the water, but didnt look too bad. Almost everyone was wearing masks and staying apart. So nice to sit and look out at the mountains and water. Not sure how crowded it gets on weekends, though!
Beautiful, I miss the beach! Great place to get in shape. There are so many steps to climb.
Ample (free) parking either on the main lot into the park or alongside the road. If you do park off-road, its a hefty walk, especially climbing back up. The shore is very rocky and there are lots of seaweed on the foot bed of the beach. The water is still very cold to try to do any swimming, but tolerable to wade or splash around in. The beach is not as big as I thought it would be compared to the one at Golden Gardens. The sand is not as nice either (far too many rocks).I do like that there are 2 bathrooms (m & w) - one at the beach & the other is next to the parking lot (this ones more comfortable to use). There is 1 shelter I saw before heading to the beach and a tether ball (love this!) We went on a Sunday mid-afternoon and wasnt packed but still a lot of people.
Fantastic views. Parking is plentiful and you can park towards the top and walk down to the beach while enjoying the view from a higher point. Or you can park closer down below. Theres also a playground area in the middle. Beach can get a little cold and windy but its to be expected. Overall great beach, one of the best beach parks in Seattle
Nice view and decent walk along stony beach. Dogs allowed but must be on leash.
Love this park. The top ridge has the most beautiful view at the sunset, lots of blackberries and comfortable benches to enjoy the view. Nice beach and clean toilets.Haven’t used the picnic area yet, but it looks like people are enjoying it.Lots of stairs to climb if you want to workout.
Plenty of parking. Some hills that might be a bit much for sure people. No stroller paths on the beach, but you can get all the way to it. I would recommend a baby sling carrier or a stroller with wheels that can handle the sand and rocks off you want to walk along the paths down at the beach. There was alot of people, but still easy to maintain social distancing. People are gross and there was trash everywhere despite trash cans all over the place. Really sad because wildlife use this beach, but it is what it is.
Absolutely beautiful going back when its not so crowded
Best Underatted Park in Seattle I think!!!!! Im surprised I never even heard of it until recently so much parking which is a plus!! Plus multiple bathrooms the views are something you wont forget trust me!!
Richmond Beach Saltwater Park is always packed shortlyafter sunrise on any day its nice out. So arrive early andtry to park at the top lots instead of the lower onesdue to a number of vehicles being broken into.It is a great park for stair climbing exercise. Lots of stairsas well as fitness minded folk working out. When I lived in Shoreline a few years ago, I frequentedmany parks for a great escape, nature and a workout.Richmond Beach gives you everything you desirein a park with great beach access! The beach itself is fairly long, lots of agates, anddriftwood. There are wild roses growing on the North end.Lots of nice spots on the South end to hang out.All in all it is a great destination and well maintained.
Amazing memories on psychedelics around this beach and the above area with the single tree. Beautiful place. Truly. Finally got to visit for the first time in nearly 10 years last weekend and was nearly brought to tears with the beauty versus what I remembered. Please take your family or even just yourself here, or your dog - they would love it. Theres little paths to climb up the hills if you like a tiny hike, theres an actual beach(though its super rocky and not really a super clear sandy beach youd picture in your mind lol), theres play structures for kids, theres public bathrooms, theres a cool bridge to walk over from the park side into the beach side. And theres a kids area on the beach side as well. So multiple areas for the whole family and views from all different heights and angles. A must see!!!
Good sand down at the beach. Covered picnic area and park. Great place to go to watch the sunset.
This is an amazing beach! I took my boys just to kill some time while my dog was getting groomed and we fell in love with this beach! We will definitely be coming back!
My go to for a good stairs workout. Beautiful views. Lots of parking. Play structures and picnic space. Fun place to train watch
Beautiful views and well kept. A note to make sure you keep to the closing time (there is no time but they say dusk) as they lock the gates and you could get locked in.
Awesome park. Decent parking. Great place to exercise and do steps, take in the views on the bluff or wander on the beach.
It was really mesmerizing. I didnt expect it to be this great. I went there to park my car and ride my bike to further down south but I just stood there walked on the beach and spent the evening there. The colors in the evening was really good.
I went here for a school trip for Marine Biology, the tide pools were great and there were several people available to help talk and educate students and guest about the tide pools and animals. The down fall.... long hike to restrooms, and parking is somewhat limited.I loved the smell, the views, the trains passing by, the ocean front. Really awesome to see. Great place for kids to explore and get their feet wet. Highly recommended!!!!!!
There are so many different options at Richard Beach, whether its taking a walk on the beach or running up the 188 stairs they have. Beautiful views always, although it gets very busy on a nice day. There are two bathrooms but they are public restrooms, so not the nicest.
Richmond Beach very nice and attractive Beach with a very nice view and enough parking area, and lovely and fresh for walking and have fun.
Nice park, has area for outside exercising and a nice beach. Playground is ok, but not great.
This place is truly a gem. Views and more views. Great place for dog walking, BBQs, checking out tide pools, skipping stones, and even some fishing. I highly recommend visiting this place.
Its a nice beach. You can either sit right near the shore, or in the sandy area just above it. Its pretty big so you dont feel like youre sitting on top of other people.
What a great place for a picnic and sunset. The Olympics, the Sound, the boats and trees make this a great spot.
BEAUTIFUL hidden gem!! You can walk right onto the beach area or see the view from up high. The most unique thing about this park is that the land feels tiered or almost terraced. There are so many look out spots towards the water and mountain from varying elevation points. You can even stay in your car and see the view from the parking lot for a cozy dateout on a cold day.
Awesome rocky beach would a little bit of sand in patches for kids to dig. Dogs allowed on leash!
Beautiful place it will take your breath away when the song was torn down in you realize that another day is going away you cant wait to wake up and do it all again
Nice place
Lots of options. Park at the top and gave a steep walk to and fro. Park at the bottom and have an easy stroll to the beach. Winter time it becomes an off leash dog beach. Lots of dogs here even mid week and blistery weather. Found pink sea glass. Great views. Worth the drive from Bothell
View is amazing and there is plenty of parking. The beach is too rocky for my taste and windy. Very clean but the trash cans were full at mid afternoon.
Very beautiful, tiered park with lots of parking, playground, beach access and an amazing sunset. Really cool structures for picnics and walkways for strolls.
Just a wonderful place to go for the day, or even to watch the sunset or rise, bring a lunch bring some friends or just yourself and enjoy the views, there are picnic tables public restrooms drinking fountains and covered seating and tables you can rent for the day for a large gathering, there are great walking paths and stairs, some people use em as a way to exercise, easy beach access, you do have to cross some rocks to get to the water but nothing to serious,so sand rocks water, plenty of parking, and views the minute you get there, enjoy.
Great park on a cold and windy day! Sun brings lots of people. Today was perfect. Cold, wind, waves, and a total of two cars in parking lot. Was the right place to think about my mom that passed away two days before.
Very Nice Beach to relax enjoy the view
This place has so many amazing viewing areas. When you first enter the park your up high on a hill top which has multiple parking areas. Then you weave your way down to eventually the bottom parking lot which gives you access to a play ground and also the beach. Walking to the beach you actually walk across a huge bridge which gives you another great view. Well worth checking out if in the area.
Beautiful place- it has something for the young and the older. I always try to pick up any trash and plastic I find on the beach, as we all supposed to be stewards of our planet.
Beautiful! Accessible by stroller all the way to the sand. Good safe areas to chase a toddler around! Nanny approved!
I absolutely loved this park. I read my book and watch the water
This is amazing one of must see. Plenty of parking space.... walking biking
A beautiful park and beach. But it could use some more sand. Its quite rocky. Like many of the beaches along this water inlet.Rocky! Small rocks not Giant rocks. There are places of sand but needs more. The grasslands were extremely dry and needed some water desparately. Please be careful with hot smoking embers. No matter where you are in Washington its beautiful.
One of the best beach near Redmond.
This place is cool to explore, but in terms of a park to do activities with the kids, not so much. Beautiful views though and beach access! Cant beat that.
A very nice beach. Pretty quiet. Only 1 train went through in 3 hours time
Beautiful park! Beach views from all angles. Definitely a great place to go for walks and explore!
What a great park to take the family to.i saw loads of folks exercising their dogs on the beach and the views were amazing. Not too many seashells though at low tide. :(
What a really lovely dog park/beach! Very clean and well cared for with lots of parking. Very steep access for the elderly and differently-abled folks. Not fenced, good for me and my dog, but might be a problem for others. Great beach for children, kites, and views of the Olympias on a clear day. There are some sand spots, but mostly gravel. Also 2 spots with fresh water flowing in.
Not a while love of space to hike, but it is great for a picnic, stroll on the beach, or even sit in your car and enjoy the view off the bluff. Both upper parking lots have full view of water and Puget Sound. Bathrooms on both beach and bluff side of park. Plenty of room on the beach to spread out.
I hang out here a lot. Heaven on Earth. Great place for getting fresh air exercise relaxing picnicking family events. Amazing views too. Walk on trails above overlooking the beach and walk down sidewalk or stairs down to the beach. Wheelchair access available.
This is a great little spot for a stroll along the beach. There are restrooms and a water fountain available. Beautiful views of the sound and Olympic Mountains.Note: there is no water available for your dog...so if your like me and they go with you everywhere, make sure you bring a little dish to collect water from the fountain. They do offer poopie bags. There is a busy train track that runs directly beside the beach in one area, so keep watch of the little ones.
Nice park with water access. They have playground and toilets. Kids like to play with debris on the shore. Bring your chairs and watch the sunset! Not so good for swimming though.
EXCELLENT PANORAMIC VIEW FROM THE BEACH. Also I MAYBE buried treasure, but DONT DIG IT UP.
Great place to enjoy a beautiful view with a to go lunch. I recommend parking at the top of the hill and just chilling with the view.
Best part of Washington state is, you go to any beach or park, they are really good. This one is particularly beautiful as the parking is at 3 different levels above, you get great views of water with mountains in backdrop and railway tracks right below. You can unleash your dog on the beach, it was fun looking at the dogs getting excited and jumping in the water playing fetch. Good place for a picnic with friends and family.
Originally was headed to Mukilteo Lighthouse Park but it was so overcrowded, couldnt find a parking spot, and overall looked fairly run-of-the-mill so picked Richmond Beach as an alternate - man was I glad we came!Parking - ample at multiple levels!Neat little bridge crossing the railroad tracks to the beach.Beach both sandy and rocky with cool driftwood and pier stumps - really beautiful view.
Shoreline facilities and hill side walks with ocean view.
Nice. Busy. A little walk to beachfrom parking lot. Easy going to. A bit harder coming back.
There are so many trails to walk and the views are beautiful.
I love coming down here for the views, especially when the sky lights up for a quality, colorful sunset. You can stay up quite high and look down at the beach and the water. Or you could go all the way down to the beach and walk on the rocks or touch the (cold) water for yourself. There are several options and you can enjoy any of them. Check out the park!
Great place to exercise. The walk from the parking lot to the beach was about 10-15 minutes, if you park by the restroom area.
Busy, but great place to enjoy the waterfront.
My fave spot esp summer season. Great place to unwind, have some picnics, and sunset viewing.
Stunning views from different levels in this park. Best sunsets to enjoy here.
Great waterfront park. Loads of dogs romping and having fun. Gorgeous on a sunny day.
Perfect for family time with kids. Well spent afternoon.
Beautiful scenery, fresh air, warm smiles, and nature all around; theres nothing better in life! And as I walked alone, I saw many footprints in the sand.
To get to the beach, you will need to park and the main lot is relatively crowded. It’s a bit of a walk, crossing a secured bridge over the train tracks. It seems very busy for families with lots of screaming children.Driving back around sunset, I visited the highest outlook area which had a beautiful view of the ocean. There is a small parking lot with adjoining grassy area, picnic tables, and a large wooden fixture in which you can set up multiple hammocks.Once dusk hit, the outlook seemed to be the place for local teenagers to hangout. ;D
Family friendly place. Clean rocky beach with a few logwoods. Best view on Olympic mountains at sunset!
We love to come here to see people doing kiteboarding, so much fun to watch .
Good place to watch comet Neowise
Richmond Beach is one of my favorite places to go in Edmonds. It has a large amount of parking so no matter what time of day you go there are usually spots available. There are alot of good lookout spots for taking pictures especially in the upper parking lot area. In the lower parking lot you will find a large modern playground that the kids love. There are alot of picnic tables throughout the park and down by the beach there is a picnic shelter and large fire pit! The beach is about a 1/2 mile long with a mixture of sand and rocks. Not really much shade near the beach so make sure you bring an umbrella or lots of sunscreen and enjoy!
Great Beach with awesome view and some sand .Perfect for a sunset view as well.
Absolute beautiful park beautiful view lots of parking. This is where my fiance proposed to me after we saw dolphins and a little jumping fish during a sunset ️️
Very nice park, view, playground, beach access
A relaxing day watching the ferries and cruise ships go by.
Lovely place, and the train by the beach never gets old.
Nice beach. Pretty busy on a weekend, but everybody was being super careful with distancing, etc.
Totally an awesome beach and park to go to on a nice sunny Saturday while in the area, I love the shoreline area . I want to come here again . This is a great beach .
Great park to explore. Parking currently is heavily restricted to follow safe distance guidance but the pathways are much wider than you would need for any health concerns!
