I love this lake & my fiance, Shaunav& I absolutely love bringing the boys here to swim!! Its so nice, quiet, friendly people and environment all together and it just feels like home kinda in a sense. Its just so serene and it absolutely just takes you in and completely absorbs you in a way almost!! We love spending all day here whenever its nice outside and just spend time together as a family. Its a great place for everyone and anyone of all ages, and we can honestly say that you are definitely missing out if youve never been there thats for sure!!
We have lived in the area for quite some time and had never visited the waterfront area before. We got a couple paddle boards from Costco for our kids this summer and tried out the lake. It was GREAT! The smaller lake size allows the water to be much warmer than most other lakes around and even though the water entry area is small, it was a great depth for our younger kids to just swim and chase the fish. I would say the main downside is just how small the water entry area is. It can feel crowded fast. But its beautiful and clean. I would highly recommend!
For dog walking it isnt my favorite best because it is essentially a long straight pavement walkway that spans the lakes side but we all have needs, ha. Its beautiful, clean and has picnic benches and some bbq spots so really its VERY FAMILY or small gathering FRIENDLY.
It was about 78 people were finishing and splashing sitting under the apple tree..kids playing. Very nice out.
Sweet little picnic area and benches overlooking lake. Restful.
Nice little lake with trout and perch for fishing but the dock area is overrun with cattails which limits the space for fishing from shore and the boat launch is set far from the parking lot so you have to carry your boat about a 1/4 mile down the path to get to it. Not to mention the amount of suspicious characters roaming around.
I fish, & the fishing area over the last 30 years has gotten small, dirtier, more overgrown with brush & volunteer Alders & used syringes.. please Park Dept, clean out some of that brush & the weedy Alders & give us back some beach.
Really cool little hidden lake off the interurban trail. A couple shady characters but thats everywhere in Seattle nowadays
Its a nice lake but very limited for fishing from the bank and no boat launch
Beautiful little community park. Nice place to stroll on a summers evening.
Nice fishing/ relaxing lake. Not crowded at all.
A great little park just behind Costco. Not much parking but the interurban bicycle trail goes right through the park. Nice place for a rest break when bicycling.
The park is beautiful and the maintained well, but there always homeless people and drug dealers and users around and you can see many used vaccines in the honey bracket or in the bush. I wish police present there a few minutes regularly so it getting better. But our police officers often sitting in a corner or hiding between the streets in in order to avoid worse situation for them.
After being on home detention because of Covid 19 many people were out enjoying the opportunity to exersize by walking, cycling along the interirban trail or fishing in the lake. People were actively practicing social distancing and most wore masks. The new bathroom looks like it could hold up to a direct missle strike. Also much of the human scenery was well above par
It is a park on the burke gillman trail where we stop.
The park itself is pretty with few benches and few grills and a nice view to the lake where everytime ducks and some other birds live their life), there is also small playground for the kids, BUT the biggest no-no is that there are almost everytime homeless people hanging or sleeping on the grass, especially in the summer time.
Great summer swimming lake, generally very clean, warm. Really small gravel beach for access, and some tables and benches for picnics. Bonus: situated next to the Interurban Trail! Toilet facilities have been degraded.
A cute little park with so much potential placed in the wrong neighborhood. I visited Echo Lake Park with my daughters class to test the water quality for a science project, unfortunately there were a dozen hypodermic needles floating in the water and stuck in the trees at the edge of the lake. That combined with all the trash floating in the water made for a sorry sight. there is a porta-potty on site but I would be afraid to go in at considering the number of used needles around. The playground equipment appears in good repair but once again used needles. the ecologist that was with us said the park had been cleaned up since she was there the day before, which isnt saying much. Its hard to avoid such things with the proximity to Aurora, but it is good to know that there is a likelihood of running into drug paraphernalia at the park.
There really isnt much here, its a peaceful lake to do a little fishing and kayaking... not much to look at
I love this little park along the Interurban Trail. My dog also loves this park. You can relax on the side of the lake, go fishing, or BBQ in the little pit.
Too many homeless people hang out there.
Beautiful landscaping and lake
Adorable inner city tiny lake! Mostly clean and healthy looking...
No way to get to the lake.
Go there specifically to take one year old to toddler safe play area. She loves the slide.
In some places there is some garbage.. But overall really nice area to visit, I visited this with my boyfriend.
Small quaint little park, with loads of wildlife and nature going on, in a nice little neighborhood... Surprising to see the abundant nature and mostly friendly humans so close to busy roads
Nice little park to enjoy specially in the spring and summer I go for a walk by the little trial it has..
Beautiful little spot, not much shade but tables and bbq pits. Also bathrooms!
Bathroom is closed down with graffiti on it, not sure why it was a good idea for them to shut down the one solid public bathroom in the area to replace with a ugly and odor filled porta-potty. The transit center right next door has no public bathroom and its very inconvenient to walk as far as the nearby stores. Home depot bathroom is at least a 10-15 minutes trip to walk there and back. Not to mention this is a customer only bathroom and if your in any type of rush to get back to the transit station to catch a bus then having the possible requirement of needing to make a purchase is out of the question. So you would need to settle for the porta party, this is but another con is that its placed almost directly on the inturban trail. Not what I want to smell or possibly run into if I was riding my bike down the trail. If someone opens the door to come out it would almost pose a accident risk if someone was at a moderate speed on any type of wheels such as wheelchair, ECT.
Nice little hidden gem for fish enthusiasts! Bass an trout are biting, I would give 5 stars but watch for snags! Lol
On the interurban trail. Close to homedepot coscot bus station. Has ducks
Echo Lake Park has been newly renovated. There is now a playground picnic tables and benches. The restrooms have been remodeled there are new pathways leading through the park. The area where the Ducks are at the lake has been redone also with a gravel beach and picnic benches around the area. This park is quite convenient and located next to Aurora village Transit Center. Its a wonderful place to wait for the bus to come.
Very clean restrooms. Friendly and informative staff. Thank you!
Nice park quiet soothing lake with nature
Bathroom needs servicing and cleaning more frequently.Local dog owners need to be informed that their Fido does indeed belong on a leash, even if hes a pedigree and a good boy..Several areas of litter can be found along the park periphery. Park typically has a handful of drug users and homeless people scurrying about.
Very chill. Very beautiful
Very nice view and fresh air....
Nice place in the spring and summer, has a long walking path by the lake.
The best place in Shoreline to watch baby ducks.
Its a nice little Lake. Nice place to go for a walk. Its a good place for a family picnic. Playground for the kids tables eBay even some barbecue. Theres even a nice little geavel beach area right next to the water. Not sure if its same to swim in the water. Its very likely there are ducks in the but i didnt see any. I did a goose. Its also right next to the Aurora Village Transit Cente. Home Depot and Costco are close by also. So you can go shopping and have a picnic with only one trip.
Its nice and quiet
Great comfortable little lake.
Theyve massively overhauled the park in the last 5 years. I liked the old, more natural park from before, but I dont hate the new design, either.
Nice little park and swimming lake. Play structure for the kids. Bathrooms. Right off jogging/biking trail. ~ 8 parking spaces.
Wow I never knew about this beutiful little lake along inererbin trail nice place to take five.
Beautiful scenery with the lake and the ducks at sunset.
Awesome serene lake park
We love to go fishing here. Always clean.
Did have a crazy daddy left his backpack in our car had no idea who he was besides the crazy it was great
Clean and well kept. Right next to a nice little lake.
Small playground. Lake is nice. Homeless sleeping on bench doesnt make it very family friendly.
Tucked away you might miss this little lake in the middle of the city and the park is small but cute with public restrooms. There the Burke Gillman trail that runs along side of it. Childrens playground also. Across the street a small bus depot
I love this little spot not to many people hanging out there so its not to crowded and inclusive. The water gets warm and its astounding.
COPS NEED TO PATROL BETTER!!!! walking to the park with my little kids and groups of guys sitting at the bar be que place with bongs and pipes and weed all out!!!! Common!!!Plus the playground equipment is no fun!!!Bummed
Quiet neighborhood park
Good!
I love this place because of the peaceful serenity of the lake. I love the Willow trees and cat tails and the fact it is on the interurban trail.
Love the landscape, and the improvement to the bathroom helps pervent junkies from taking over, merci
A nice clean Park good place to have lunch or dinner little picnic
Porta John had no toilet seat and needles in the blue liquid.
Great small park and playground for toddlers. there are ducks at the lake too which kids love.
Nice place to walk when on a casual walk in Shoreline
A great little swim hole to cool off. Limited parking, right off the trail. There is a public bathroom & small playground as well.
Small and quiet park with a mind soothing lake and duckies...
Nice, restful & right in the trail!
Nice little park to enjoy some green space.
Nice place, in veiw of public, water front, play ground, and restrooms.
Cool little place for a doggie dip..off Burke Gillian,..And by the Snohomish/King County bus hub.
The lake is nice, but the park is okay.
Too many used heroin needles and trash scattered about. shorelines Park and Recs need to clean up their parks
Its cool ig
Beautiful park but saw drug needles in the bathroom
Enjoyed walking my dog here
I love going there with my grandkids
Nice place
Nice quiet little park with access to Echo Lake.
Nice place to unwind
To many homeless... I have nothing against homeless people just dont care for the meds they leave. They are always at this park so it makes me nervous to let my kids play here.
