A beautiful place to spend a weekend morning or afternoon. Admission is free (suggested $5 donation). I was able to stroll through all of the trails in a few hours and bought some plants from the nursery. I visited as soon as they opened. If no one is around to help you with your purchase, you can call their phone number and someone will be out shortly. This is a great place to take kids and teach them local plants, as well as to make a fairy hut in the kids section.

This place is so beautiful!! The trees are majestic and the grass is lush green! I went with my family and we had such a good time. The general admission was 9$ and my 1 year old son was free. Of course I wish the price was a little better, considering it is Gods creation we are wanting to see! However we understand the upkeep, it must take to maintain this garden;) I recommend to bring your own food and drinks. They do sell drinks and snacks there. If you love nature like we do this place is for you! Very whimsical and charming!

Visited the first time in mid August. Because of this even if it might be flowery at other times was not for us.Still lovely walk, nice plantings, and water feature. Nice walk to take your kids on, it that special someone you want to hold hands with.Your dog can go with you, but be responsible leash and scoop applies.You will like this one.

Kruckeberg botanical garden is a hidden gem in Shoreline. I was surprised by how large the garden was. At first glance, I was thinking it would be quite small especially considering there were maybe 10 total parking spots and the first area you visit with the nursery is pretty small. However, there is a path that leads downhill that reveals a large portion of the garden with a wide variety of local bushes, shrubs, and trees. There is a nice water feature with calm waterfalls and plants. Another surprise was the rather large wooden and copper statue in the garden. It looks almost like a T. rex skull but I believe is a sculpture of wooden with copper pieces installed in different pieces. It begs to be climbed but has quite a smooth surface so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. I spent almost an hour here but could spend even more time if I just wanted to relax and enjoy the serenity of the garden. I hope to return and explore more gardens in the Puget Sound area.

Kruckerberg is a wonderful, small botanical garden. The wandering trails through the garden are an easy stroll. The plants and trees are well marked. There are plants too buy. There is a huge tree root sculpture that children can climb on. It appears there are also childrens camps/events. I visited on a Saturday and there were only a few people there so it was almost meditative walking through. I will definitely visit again and again.

Its bigger on the inside. Parking lot is small, maybe has 8 stalls, but theres some on street parking.The gardens themselves are large, with clearly labeled plants. Its quite pretty.Its a great place to take kids, with an area where they can build fairy houses and a climbing structure made from a redwood root ball.Its a good 30-45 minute walk to mosey slowly around everything the garden offers. Theres also a plant nursery where you can buy any local plants that strike your fancy.

Came for the solstice stroll. It was a lovely, small garden and I will most certainly come for the growing season and sales in the future.

Such a great place. A unique selection of native plants sold in the middle of a beautiful woodsy garden. Great for kids too. All sorts of fun sculptures and activities hidden around.

This is one of those hidden gems of shoreline. I did some volunteer work here back when I was in high school, and it was always an enjoyable experience wether I was helping to pot plants for the nursery or walking through the trails.It is definitely a place to visit if you are in shoreline. And a fantastic place to get plants for your own yard.

Lots of shade, small parking lot with one handicap space. Lovely grounds for walking - some hilly areas are not easily accessible but an all-terrain wheelchair may do. Lovely selection of native plants at onsite nursery, with helpful staff and volunteers. In winter (Nov-Feb), closes 2 hours earlier at 3 pm. Kid and family friendly: short hike to creative outdoor space with all-ages stuff to crawl on. Dog-friendly but for calm pooches: This is a quiet place to walk and roam. Onsite features include beautiful native plants in bloom around trails (mostly unpaved), meadow, woodlands, and small outdoor performance area. Nice carvings and other artwork throughout as well.
