You do need to pay $10 to park/get in or have a pass . The hike I wouldnt recommend to bring a baby on your back, toddlers, or elderly who dont have good balance/not in good shape. It is an easy hike. Wear close toed shoes. Wouldnt wear sandles. Bring water. Bring a swim suit cause the water is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and so clear! As you can see. Didnt see any snakes or anything. The trail is shaded mostly so thats a huge plus. The hike is about a mile total (half a mile there and back) . Or you can walk down to the water about a 100 yards to the right path. Left is the hike. 10/10 recommended! I think I may come back.
We had an amazing time!!! Im not sure if it was just me or... But the trail kind of disappears and you have to just listen for the water and people. The water is crystal clear and not quite ice cold. Took about 30 minutes of being fully in to feel acclimated. The kids LOVED jumping in from the smaller cliff yeah toast! This place has such an amazing vibe of peaceful yet fun. Highly recommend and will return!!
Had a great time with 2 twelve year old girls and their 15 year old sister. The water was cold but we jumped into about a depth of about 6 feet over and over. The spot we found had 2 areas ideal for climbing down and getting out of the water. Before swimming, we hiked a nearby trail that was really fun. Unfortunately we were not prepared to cross the stream so did not complete the trail. Over all the day was well worth the $9 it cost to park there.
Such a beautiful lovely atmosphere. One of the most amazing spots in Sedona, great for families of all ages. The waters are so clear and Cold!! Refreshed from head to toe.Cliff levels for everyone those whom want to feel exhilaration. Some Kid friendly cliffs, jump with caution. Little water falls, rope swing. Nature walks with kids along the creek.PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR TRASH!Bring extra trash bags.
Nice little swimming hole! Easy access- a 3 minute walk doable in flip flops. The water is extremely cold, I could only handle my whole body in the water for less than a minute! This was in the end of October, nobody else was getting in the water
Grasshopper Point swimming hole is a fantastic place to get out of the Arizona heat. The water is very very refreshing and may even be very cold depending on when you go. Best advice is to bring water shoes to help with walking in the water over all the slippery rocks. Cliff jumping there is nice the water is pretty clear both times we went.
I loooove this place. My best friend grew up in the are and told me I had to go there this time. He was completely spot on with that suggestion. Crawling across the rocks and sitting in the middle of the water is so serene and peaceful. Everything else just melts away.
Its a short 5 minute drive east of the sedona uptown shopping area. Paid $9 for parking. Went at 11am and it was starting to get crowded. Lots of families with kids of all ages. Very short walk maybe 5 minutes max to get to water from the parking lot. Not much space at all to picnic or sit down as its all rocks or dirt. You just plop your belongings on thr ground and venture into the ice cold creek. Yes, ice cold. It may be 100 degrees outside but that water is cold. Regardless we got used to it and even did the cliff jumping. There are 2 levels of jumping and its ideal for all ages. It got really crowded by the time i left but i would still highly recommend this as a fun place to stop for a short dip in the water. All you need is 1 to 2 hours max.
Plenty of parking especially during the week. Restrooms in the center of the parking lot. We went Oct 6 and the water felt like 43 degrees F. The trail along the creek transitions to cliffside sandstone with large pools. We chose to post up next to a little 3 ft waterfall which was prob the best spot along the creek in my opinion.
A great place to hike, plus EASY PARKING. Go past the first parking lot on the left; its always full. The parking was $9, do be prepared with ones, or you will be making a little extra donation. The hike is rocky, so a walking stick can be helpful. There was very little trash, and what was there looked to have washed from upstream - remember to pack out more than you carried in! Camera recommended, as the canyon is gorgeous and there are hardly any bad shots. Beautiful, rugged, and *potentially dangerous* so be AWARE of the weather reports upstream. The rushing water is best viewed from a safe distance! Enjoy!!
Great hiking, picnicking, and swimming! Weird that there wasnt an attendant at the gate. Needed to make change to pay the entry fee, but no one was around. Had to drive up the road to the visitors center to get change, double back, and pay before entering.
Great little swimming hole. At the end of September the water was pretty chilly. Short rocky hike from the parking area to the creek. Picnic tables and public restrooms near the parking area.
Great place to cool off, yes parking is only $9, i saw some complaints about it, but really, its not a bad fee to get the family in. Parking is relatively close to the water, expect a short hike. Waters cool and refreshing, really clear, likely spring fed, enough room for some wading /swimming or lounging along the shoreline. Of course the cliff diving and spectating of is what your really going there for :)
Such a great place to have some fun in Sedona. The water was amazing during the hot summer days. This place is truly one of the most beautiful places I have been to.
Fun spot for cliff jumpers. My cousins and I all jumped. There were 2 guys who did flips. It was pretty awesome!
Love this place been coming here since I was a kid. Great area for swimming, floating, cliff jumping and just hanging out and relaxing. It gets really busy in the summer/weekends/holidays and parking fills up fast. So get here early!
My girls and I really enjoy coming here to relax and swim. Very slippery so you have to be extra careful.
We LOVED this park! We arrived in sedona too early to check in at our hotel so I googled something to do. So glad we found it! We paid the very reasonable $9 parking/park access fee and walked down the trail to the water. We wound up scouting out another spot since the first places we came to were very full. Found a spot with no people and enjoyed hiking a bit in the super cool water and enjoying the sights. Two encounters with rangers and they were both very pleasant. Definitely recommend.
So much fun! The drive is beautiful, and when you get there its an amazing swim and picnic area. Water is cold at first, but get in and youll get used to it. Recommend bringing shoes, otherwise not too bad.
Plenty of room when it gets packed. Small parking lot so you may have a hike to get there. Water is nice and cold even when it hits 100 out.
Fun place for a relaxing, low key hike to see the babbling creek. If you’re lucky enough to visit in the fall, you’ll see a few of the trees’ leaves changing colors
Another beautiful view and access to Oak Creek for a cold swim
Fun cliff jumps in to the water hole. Great fun for kids. No wait.
We really enjoyed Grasshopper point. Busy place! We parked on 89a and took a trail down to the water. Kids enjoyed jumping off the rocks into the water.
Way pretty, very rocky so I suggest water shoes.
Its a very beautiful spot and I loved going here! Will go more often
Put in the effort to find your own secluded area and you wont be disappointed
Go for a swim with some hippies. Freshly stocked with rainbow trout.
Great had alot of fun too crowded though better spots further in the canyon.
Beautiful area in the middle of the desert. Terrain is rather precarious, so you definitely have to be careful getting down to the creek. The Allen trail (take a left instead of a right to the creek) is super friendly for beginners and leads you through some beautiful scenery.
Place is gorgeous, but pretty dangerous getting down here. A lot of loose rocks, make sure to have sneakers, and bring everything you need, because you don’t want to make multiple trips.
Quite a bit of people when I went, but plenty of space, great for everyone when it comes to rock jumping or just relaxing/floating
Much easier with kids, not nearly as crowded. I recommend having a trekking pole to help walk through the rocks to get to the water if you have knee/ankle issues.
A nice trail, good spot to swim, pretty sites to see.
ITS AMAZING. Different hieghts to Cliff Jump, Swimming hole, water stream, shaded areas and low populated for better use! Just Perfect!
Loved it! Family and Frenz is what its about. Having fun n making memories.
Nestled in the base of Oak Creek Canyon is a large cliff side swimming hole known as Grasshopper Point. This day use site is popular ...Area Amenities: Accessible,Picnic tables,ToiletsWater: No drinking waterBest Season: Spring through fallOpen Season: Year-round
Great swimming hole in Sedona!
It is a cool place to go but to charge $9 for a place to park. Still no marked trails and 1 picnic table
Great little swimming hole, cost us $8 to park for the day. Shallow enough to walk in spots, deep enough to float in spots. Theres a deep end that has a leaping ledge and on the opposite side a small rapid area. I suggest to keep small children in a vest and in arm reach, my little 80lb child took a small ride with a good wave. But still had lots of fun.
It is beautiful place but it sure can draw in a crowd. And people have there different music blasting .Which ruins the atmosphere.
Very packed on the 4th, uts cash only be prepared, we had a great time coll jumping spots, little waterfall and nice spots to relax
Very nice place. Went during labor day so the area was packed. Less packed compared to slide rock though.
Nice but too many people. Also people dont know how to take their trash
Great place to spend some time cooling off. Best to go early and bring folding chairs.
Its pretty nice but gets very busy very quickly I was planning on spending all day there but cut my trip short due to the crowding
Great place ! Water was so cold ! But it was beautiful!
Great place to go for a swim or find some solitude on a hike. Oak Creek is easily accessible from the parking lot. There are well traveled paths that lead to more popular areas. If youre inclined to get your feet wet and push past blackberry bushes, you can find a quiet place for contemplation.
So so so nice I had a wonderful time here, so relaxing and the walk to the creek is short and easy. Will be coming here again.
Overall great spot! Beautiful!
Always fun to bring family here.
Great place to go cool down. But it gets crazy packed so be there before they open to get a good spot.
One of our favorite water spots in Sedona! Easy to get to and totally worth a visit!
Excellent place I love life for enjoying nature
Theres better places in Sedona, I probably wouldnt go back.
Nice little stop with some great scenic views.
Crowded but great swimming with a few nice cliff jumps
It was 8.00 for an all day ticket. We went to check it out in the morning. We went right to get down there. My pictures are when I went left by the picnic tables and looked down. We went back around 3, more people were there but still plenty of parking and room by the water. It is disappointing to see trash, please pick up after yourself. Two guys were slamming beers, which hurt the beauty around us. Overall I love it, I cant wait to go back.
Lots of cliff jumping spots for people of all ages. From 5 feet to 50!
It was really fun easy to go but it was really crowded
Grasshopper Point is what you make of it. If you decide to do the couple of things available, like wading around and jumping off the highest point a few times, itll be worth it. The downside is that theres nothing else to do, so bring lunch. You also have to cross uncomfortable rocks for about 5 minutes to get to the stream. One and done.
They had toidy gnats in the rest room, but the gate guard was exceptionally nice.
Beautiful and isolated swimming holes.
Nice for cliff jumping into nice cold refreshing water.
Very nice place top take the family
Water is extremely cold! Great for a quick jump. Rock is slippery so be careful.
The water is a bit difficult to get to but manageable. Once you find the water its nice to relax on the rock slabs.
Super fun everyone should go here very beautiful but if you dont like cold water I wouldnt suggest swimming here
Most of us actually jump from the ledge above the boy in the picture. It was fun but the trails arent marked and almost no signing and the ones we saw werent helpful. To get up onto the actual rock is some work so you have to go across the stream and on that side where the rock is theres a rope on the side of the mountain to help climb up onto that level (the one above the boy in the pic) to go and jump (be sure to jump out far enough to avoid Rocks under the cliff) water is clear so its pretty easy to see where you should jump to.
We drove two hours with our dogs only to find out that we couldn’t bring them in. It’s a CREEK for Christ’s sake! How stupid!
A great place to take the kids and enjoy the water
Beautiful place to jus sit n some cool refreshing water bring old shoes to wear the Rocks will hurt your toes!
Beautiful place with great parking. We hiked up stream. Nice trail and the creek was running high. Rock hopping.
Small picnic area alongside Oak Creek. Has restroom. Departure point for hikes alongside creek. Would be cooler in warm weather since its deep in canyon.
Lots of people on the weekends. Great place to swim, the water is deep in some areas, maybe 12-15 feet
Such a hidden gem.. skip slide rock and drive down here.
Be sure to walk to different places to swim!!!
It was amazing had so much fun
Great place to enjoy the outdoors
No dogs allowed. Very disappointing, after a 6 mile hike my golden lab wanted to go swimming!
Great place to enjoy a swim and some cliff jumping
Always a beautiful place to visit!!
Dont knock nature Its beautiful
Nice little place to cool off in the heat of the day. Three stars because it has an entry fee and was kinda populated tho we went on a Monday. Easy short hike to the creek... water is very cold and takes somd getting used to, but nice and clear, and there are varied depths for wading and swimming. See spending about 45 min. to an hour here.
Unforgettable lifetime experiences here! A must visit destination for family and friends local or from out of town. Rock jumps are super awesome due to multiple areas and different height levels to jump from. Kid and adult friendly!
Super clear water, perfect to take your family
This place was great after a 2hr hike un 100 degree weather! Very easy walk from parking lot. Not as crowded as slide rock park.
Beautiful spot. Couldnt the trail due to rain, but had a nice picnic under the pavilion.
Alot of fun
Just make sure to clear the rock face
We spent the day here and had a blast. The sun felt amazing and the water was so refreshing. It’s the best $9 we spent all week.
