A terrific trail. Well kept and needful sites. I highly recommend
We did a sunset hike this evening. Our 1st hike to Bell. As expected, parking lot was full however, we soon found an open space. Restrooms are available. They could use some attention. Our hike up took us to a great advantage point for photos. We enjoyed a wedding ceremony from our viewpoint that was taking place at the base of Bell. Such a good time. We definitely recommend this one. As always, be prepared and use smart decisions. Bring water.
Amazing views, easy to moderate difficulty climb. Family-friendly. Took as about an hour up and down, not rushing. One star less for the usual difficulty finding parking. Its not free to park, by the way but the parking pass is good for the other parking lots too.
Amazing views, breathtaking scenery!.The trails are clearly marked up to halfway through to the top, afterwards the trails are being developed by hikers in different directions. In sunny weather have a hat with wide brim and dont forget water bottles. The parking is not free, and sometimes you need to try both locations to find the spot.
If you are in the area, this short hike is well worth the stop. Be prepared to walk a few miles in total, but most of it is easy to do. If you choose to climb up the rock itself, it can be a bit tricky in places and youll need to watch your step.Beautiful sight to see and a very nice casual hike. You wont regret taking the time to stop.
It was enjoyable, a short but lovely hike. Not too crowded and lots of space to explore
Bell Rock is a great spot to do some light hiking, or rock climbing, and to get a great view of Red Rock country. Its very easy to access since its right off of the main road and is close to Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek. Parking is sometimes sparce and there is a fee. The best times to visit are during the week or in the early evening.
Climbing and hiking along this rock was fun, exciting and scary all-in-one. A family area where all ages are welcome, as well as four-legged family members. However, it is listed as one of the attractions having more falling accidents.
What a beautiful beautiful beautiful place! Loved the trails, the hiking, view, just everything. I would definitely take better shoes next time so I can maneuver over rocks and boulders better. We went early around 0800 and parking lot was filling when we were done around 1100 people were waiting and circling around in attempt to find a spot to park.
Beautiful views. Nice hiking trails. Dont recommend hiking in the summer months. It may be okay if hiking before 10am but otherwise the heat makes these trails tougher than they really are.
Beautiful, fun, and adventurous. For any level hiker, even the kids. Absolutely stunning views from up on the rock
The pictures say it all its a good easy hike and you can spend a lot of time there
Ive hiked here consistently since first visiting Sedona. A great experience for people of all ages and of all hiking abilities. Be sure to bring water, wear sunscreen, and wear durable shoes! Expect to get somewhat dirty as well!
Great place to do some light climbing and rock hiking.
I had driven by this so many times and never realized you could actually hike/ climb. We have it a try and it was an amazing day for it. The views are so beautiful and there weren’t many people! I would say that the trail to go up the bell is not well marked. We followed wrong trail two times !! Luckily I had the Hiking Project App so that helped a lot to find the actual trail. Once you’re done with big bell, I recommend to hike baby bell rock which is just across.
Theres a parking lot just north of Oak Creek, hiking trails around Bell Rock are dirt but easy. With views at every turn 360°
Various hiking options for intensity and distance. If youre lost listen for the highway, easy to navigate back to a busy rd!
Its amazing. The vortex energy really is strong, for those who resonate with that. For those who dont, the view is incredibly and its a great place to quiet your mind and take in the beauty of our world. I recommend a good pair of hiking boots if youre going to climb up, climbing down is more dangerous than climbing up. Parking is only $5, or $15 for a week pass, but if you plan on doing more than that a much better deal is the year pass which can be purchased at the ranger station for only $20.
Great hike with 360 views of the Canyon area... highly recommend. Loads of Mountain biking trails
If you’re able, take the longer round trip hike (approx. 5.5 miles) to Bell Rock by starting at Little Horse Trailhead off 179.
Great little hike while in Sedona! Great views, cactus flowers blooming everywhere in mid June. The hike all the way around Bell Rock was 3 miles, very easy for my 8 year old, 13 & 17 yr old kids.
Loved this trail! Did bell rock climb and went around the rock instead of all the way up. Great views! Fun hiking! Highly recommend!
Amazing experiance! We charged our crystals, burned some sage, and had a beautiful hike. Going to the right can be more steep, depending on if you go high or low. Going to the left is easier and that is where the really high energy is seen in the twists of the trees.
Walking distance from my hotel to an other worldly hike of Earths history.
Amazing hike prior to hitting Sedona proper. Worth it! Flat for 1/2 mile then the fun begins.
An amazing hike. One of the hardest down climbs Ive ever done. Definitely needed 4-5 points of contact at all times if you decide to climb up to the tippy top
Of all the trails we did this week, this was the absolute best
Beautiful day to hike the trails Also, a beautiful double rainbow. The trails are well marked. Absolute amazing sight.
Bell Rock at Sedona, AZ is famous for three different Vortex (Fluid dynamics). You can feel masculinity, femininity, and balance vortex in this place. When you hike Bell Rock, you can seevast scenery with good exercise.
A beautiful, easy hike if you stay on the ground. Quite difficult if you try to climb up the rock. Do NOT climb it at dusk you will get stuck! If you climb it bring your phone and call for help if you need it
Amazing! Hiking the 5 mile trail around bell rock and courthouse Butte in the morning is the way to go. Get fairly crowded during the day and hot as well. There is not trail to the top of bell rock. There are quite a few trail of various lengths, most are pretty flat and not difficult.
What an incredible place to visit. Great for kids as young as 4. My daughter was up for more after our two hour hike.
Amazing energy, beautiful sites
This can be an easy hike or you can climb Bell Rock if you are so inclined. Its beautiful. Minimal parking available. $5 park pass.
Fun little hike! I think its only around 2-3km to get to the very top of the rock if thats your intention. There are actually paths that look around but we simply wanted to climb and get close to the vortex here. It is rather steep in some areas without any leverage or somewhere to grasp onto so wear good shoes, bring water, and hopefully a camera. We cannot wait to go back and do it again, preferably when its not so hot.
Scenic view. We took a lot of pictures. Climbing up each plateau
Beautiful! The trails are clean and clear. Seems to be good for all levels of fitness. Saw some serious hikers along with some kids and elderly people with canes. Found a bench for a break too
Nice trail to hike with a family as it is relatively flat and easy. However there are lots of trails crossing over this one so it is easy to get turned around. I would recommend this trail to anyone who wants to get out and experience Sedonas red rocks without working too hard.
An all time favorite hike. Meditations in the vortex of Bell Rock are always expansive and amazing. Lots of desert magic.
Beautiful scenery, different levels of difficulty on the hike. Take water and snacks and plan to spend a good amount of time exploring. Lots of places to sit and take in the views.
Amazing views. Trails are easy to walk, did them with our 6 year old with ease.
Visit this mountain whenever possible. Amazing views. Multiple trails and you can even go off trail if brave. There are easy parts and harder parts depending on skill.
Easy access off 17 and a short walk to Bell Rock. You can climb to the near top as long as youre decently fit. Looked like you could get to the top, but I stopped at the last section where it was basically like climbing a ladder. Highly recommend for the breath taking view.
Great place to hike n to get in touch spiritually
Last day of the year hike glad I went. Great place to take photos, get exercise, communicate with people, fresh air, of course I am not going to tell you everything you just have to go get out put the phone down
What can we say about Bell Rock that hasnt already been said? The trail was easy enough for kids we saw with their parents. And it seemed easy for the older folks we meet too. There are several different trails you can take once youve paid for parking. Side note, we suggest you buy the National Park Annual Pass for $80, instead of the different day passes for each state park.Once you get to Bell Rock, you will be overwhelmed with how beautiful the scene is. We were able to find twisted trees all over, these are signs of the energy vortex that made Sedona such a popular destination point.Bring a day pack, youll want water and sunblock for sure. A light jacket or vest maybe needed if you are thinking of going to the top of Bell Rock. Enjoy.
The views from up on the rock are super!
Great views overall. Took about 15 minutes to hike. We couldnt see the sun as it was covered by another mountain nearby. Moderate hike, with some slippery slopes. Best to have shoes with grip.
Beautiful views, nice trails, and that vortex!
Incredible trail, an easy hike with breathtaking views a must if you are in Sedona.
Beautiful views everywhere. Easy hike for a family
Very Beautiful place to hike, bike, and meet new people from all over the world....
Great trail. You can feel the vortexes and see the juniper trees twisting!
The Bell rock trail was just right for beginner hikers, definitely doable without hiking gear. Make sure to follow the trail markers. But even if you do get lost its relatively easy to find your way back
Short & sweet hike.
Absolutely worth the drive if your visiting the greater Phoenix area. Beautiful red rock everywhere, nice options for short or long trails to walk or just pop out of your car at one of the many look out spots.
Go if you want to be recalibrated and chakra charged up!! Fun hike too!!
We did the Big Park Loop after spending some time on other nearby trails. Great place to get out and walk around Bell Rock.
Amazing vortex to place intention and ground your desires. BEAUTIFUL
Fantastic hike. You can meander around the bottom or head up and hike to near the too of the rock. Trail markers end near the first plateau so if you dont have a guide or anyone to follow getting to the top is tricky but you can find your way if you take the time. Definitely come prepared as this is not an easy hike or for those a bit scared of heights
Love this place amazing ️️
Great stop while visiting Sedona!
Just WOW the walks are beautiful and the climbing is pretty easy and its super clean and there are great people. I recommend this for familys and poeple who want to bring there pets!!!!!
This is fun, lots of variety in how to get up to the top. you can choose whether you want to just follow a trail, or get off the path and have fun (but stay safe) in getting around places. would always go again anytime I visit.
Cool place to hike the view was great up there
Arrived around 8am and spent a nice couple of hours walking around and up Bell rock. Views were spectacular. A gorgeous way to end our long weekend in Sedona. Weather was lovely (last weekend in October).
Bell rock was our first stop. We did the bell rock path way. Somehow missed our turn and got looped onto big park loop? No big deal. We used all trails app to help us navigate our way around. People were climbing all over the rock though. We saw lots of vortex trees.
No need word. You need to visit.
Great place to hike. Very Scenic. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
This is a fun hike with some rocky terrain and incredible views. You need to have comfortable shoes with a lot of traction for this one. It can be hazardous so bring a partner for safety.
Great hike with amazing views all around. Next time bringing the mountain bike!
Beautiful hike. Lots of fun exploring!
Great hiking here. several trails, most of them easy. You could get up to the rocks and get a great view of Sedona.Allegedly this place has some sort of spirit vortex in it... I looked all around and all I found were lizards and stacks of rocks left by visiting hippies. Still, this place is well worth the drive.
Great lil walk up bell rock please be sure to bring good traction shoes and follow the red rock cairns that have been placed for you to follow. Great view of Sedona
Nice pathways around most of bell rock. Parts of the trails are National Forest and don’t allow bikes, hang gliders, etc. The pathways are wide enough for hikers and bikers alike, but it does get busy. You will need to purchase a parking pass or park on the streets of Oak Creek Village.
Im not much of a hiker but climbing this came so easily. We managed to get really close to the top of the bell and it had spectacular views. Take time to sit and meditate here as well.
Great views. Very easy hike. $5 to pay for parking.
This is a great place to roam freely as you make your way to the top. My kids loved the terrain and the climbing opportunities. There were a few times that were a little nerve racking, like when the kids would jump across a crevice. It is not a technical climb until youd get closer to the top where there is more vertical. In the end, we would have climbed longer and explored more had it not turned so chilly. This was one of the best hiking places weve been to as a family. Check it out!
Easy trails-Kids friendly trails n beautiful sceneries all around !
Beautiful views well worth the hike.
We decided to take this hike after reading it was one of the easier hikes to take considering we had a 7 month old in one of thoes baby back packs! We never really hike, and it was fun.. and just breath taking when we got as far as we could go (because you kind of have to climb some rocks once you get to a certain point, which we totally could have managed if we did not have a baby). Over all I would highly recommend visiting this rock. $5 to park, and worth every penny!!
An amazing place.Went there with an amazing local guide-Peter. Parking down at the bottom of Bell Rock $5. Go early in the morning like7 am before gets hot .We wouldn’t be able to do what we did but thanks to Peter it was a forgettable day.
This is such an interesting location along a most interesting road (Oak Creek Canyon Drive). Paths are not paved and the level of adventure is up to you - take some pics from the parking lot or hike to the top. Beautiful Sedona area location.
Beautifully maintained trails. Parking was hard but the lot is small and when the weather is great, just expect crowds. A crowded parking lot doesnt mean anything though once you are on any of the trails. Lots of peace and amazing views.
Wonderful experience, with world class views of the Red Rock formations. Well marked trails, but easy to find yourself in a scramble.
Great place for family hike. Parking is limited. Try going early or later in the day.
Hiked to the top of Bell Rock this morning with moderate cloud cover. The scenery during the hike and especially the view from the top is spectacular. This is truly Gods country and I doubt anyone could help being awestruck at the color and shape of the magnificent rock formations here.Bring plenty of water, and if its sunny bring chapstick and sunscreen.
