The Devil’s Bridge trail roundtrip was 13k steps, 4.3miles and took us about 3.5 hours to complete. The first mile or so is easy! After that the trail becomes much more of a vertical incline. When you get to the Devil Bridge, the line that you wait for takes about an hour. You only have to wait in line if you want to take pictures and videos. If you just want to see it, then you can skip the line. You will probably experience a rush of adrenaline when you’re standing on the devil bridge, because if you lose your balance, you pretty much fall to your death. But just be confident, watch your steps and you’ll be okay. There was people of all ages from teenagers all the way up to people in their 70s. Only about 20% of the people were wearing face masks. The trail is dog friendly. There was part of the trail, that got really windy due to the forecast, and red sand was flying everywhere! Our sunglasses and face masks definitely came in handy! Overall it was a long & fun hike. I would say Moderate level.

The destination is beautiful. If you hike all the way from the parking lot this is a long hike. Bring a lot of water and snacks. Some of the steps are high. Wear the right shoes. If you drive down in a 4x4 with enough height to the base of the final leg the trail is about .8 of a mile. Much easier.

This is a cool place. I drove to the trail head and hiked up. Be careful if you go on Saturday as the entire Jersey shore will also be hiking the trail. If you want to blend in with the crowd its best to wear as little clothing as possible and if you have a tight shirt the shows nips that is the thing to wear.Parking can be a little tight so walk if you can, only room for maybe 10 cars if everyone parks fairly.

This is a tough trail (if you go all the way to the bridge), but well worth it. Our two kids were able to do it. I would recommend going super early to avoid the crowds. The parking lots fill and some people have to park out on the main road - which will only add to your hike.Towards the end, it gets more technical and climbing large rock steps, with lots of people waiting in line. Once to the bridge, there was a very long line to take pics on the bridge. Also keep in mind sunset, as the sun leaves the east side of the trail and where the bridge is well before sunset. The trail took us two hours round trip and there were people heading up, without headlamps, near sunset. Technically, you could drive your properly equipped vehicle past the parking lot and closer to the trailhead. We have a high clearance 4x4 and there is no way I’d take my truck up that rocky trail.

If you have a high clearance jeep or 4 x 4 you can drive a mile from the main parking lot to a small parking area closer. Even if you don’t, the extra mile hike is quite easy. Definitely worth the hike up the rocks to see the bridge, it was a fabulous day.

So the hike, for the most part, is relatively unnoteworthy until the last 10 minutes (closest to the bridge). There are breathtaking views of the canyon and the Devils Bridge is a must see. The rest of the hike is really unimpressive though. Is the 2.5-3 hour round trip worth it? Absolutely. Make sure to bring plenty of water and know that the parking lot is often full, so you need to park further away. Also note there are no bathrooms available except at the parking lot. Id you have a Jeep or other 4x4 with excellent ground clearance and suspension, you can drive closer to the main Devils Bridge trailhead (which knocks off about 3/4 of the relatively unnoteworthy part of the hike).

Highly recommended. Spectacular views once you reach Devils Bridge. Its quite a long hike from the parking lot just to get to the base of the mountain, and you have to hike uphill once you reach the base. I recommend taking the Chuckwagon trail from the parking lot, instead of the Dirt creek trail. You get really good views using this trail, and its not dusty like the dirt road. Start really early in the AM to get good parking, and its not as hot as later in the day. We started at 6 AM.

Sedona is one of the most beautiful experiences on earth. The parking lot can fit about 20 to 30 cars with more parking outside. The trail map is easy to follow. It is important to bring water, hat, sunblock, and hiking shoes on this trail. The hike only a little over 4 miles round trip.If you have a 4x4 or Jeep, you can driving up halfway but you will need a permit to do that. The view of beautiful red rocks are amazing, and it provided me extra motivation for the hike. The trail layouts beautifully within the panoramic of dramatic carved canyon. The awesome red rock cliffs are like the garden steps in nature’s staircase, which keep going up and up.them don’t forget to check out the scenery, which gets better and better with every step you walk up.This was my first time hiking in the red sands, which are light as a feather, thinner and softer than beach sands. However, it does get dusty and unpleasant when a 4x4 or Jeep drives by.When I was close to the bridge, I could hear the laughter and giggling of people up ahead. The arch rock is very cool, though it appears skinny and scary from the side.I will come back this trail next time and hike down under the arch rock.I left this trail with breathtaking memories and a camera full of beautiful pictures.

This is not a difficult hike by any means and actually kind of short. The parking situation is not great... I walked 2 miles just to get to the trailhead.. also once you make it to the top of the hike you wait in line for FOREVER just to get a picture like Im posting (literally 45 min and when I left the line was twice as long). Yes the views are stunning, but if youre not looking for that perfect Instagram pic, Id suggest doing a different hike.

An easy hike to the ever popular Devil’s Bridge in Sedona. Parking can be difficult but hopefully you can find a spot. If you don’t have a solid 4x4, you’ll have to park in an asphalt parking lot and then hike up a dirt road for about 2 miles. After that, you’ll be on the actual trail. Great photos and a beautiful hike overall. There can be a long line to get a photo on Devil’s Bridge itself and I, personally, did not feel like waiting. Are some side trails to explore as well. Hike with photo stops included was about 2 hours.

Worth the view! Most people do not have their masks(aka not following Sedona guidelines) with them while hiking. Im not saying wear a mask your entire hike, but have it ready for when youre going to pass people. However easy to avoid most people, even at Devils Bridge spot.TIPS:-The bridge is not as narrow as it appears in pics. Walk on it, totally worth the picture!-If you have 4-wheel access, do it. Cuts the hike shorter but very very bumpy drive.-Go to restroom at parking lot before you start your hike unless youre cool with a more adventurous restroom experience.-Hike from parking lot(without 4-wheel drive) is about 4 miles roundtrip.-During summer go before 10am or after 4pm. The heat is no joke. Osprey water pack helped tremendously.

Beautiful Sunday trip in February. Wonderful weather, light breezes. Its free! There are three trails there that converge at a spot about .7 miles from the bridge. The easiest trail is 3.6 or 3.8 round trip, the medium was over 4.5 I think and the difficult one was 5.8 round trip.We took the easy trail there and it took us between 1.5 -2 hrs but we accidentally took the difficult one most of the way back. The parts that we were on were fairly easy til that last .7 it wasnt overly difficult but you had to climb up some rocks at a few points. The views were awesome.I dont know if it was a park rule or just common sense but when you get to the start of the bridge, everyone formed a line and let individuals/family go out on their own to take pictures. The bathrooms were very clean and well stocked with toilet paper. We parked on the street and walked in as the parking lot was full (There are at least 2 parking lots I guess, so of you see a lot of cars parked on the street, its probably best to just park cuz we circled one lot and found no spots.

We started the hike at 6:30am and only waited about 10 minutes to get on the bridge. The air early in the morning is crisp and cool! Really really cool rock formation a little bit outside the downtown area of Sedona. Like most trails in the area it gets busy very early so it’s best to get there super early if you don’t want to have a lot of hassle parking. The view of the bridge is amazing but be careful... one slip and it’s over for you

This hike is so worth it! The first mile is mainly a jeep trail through the desert but the last half is through the forest and the last 1/4 mile is all uphill until you reach the bridge. Wear comfortable shoes with tread. I watched 2 people with flat sandals have to go barefoot because the climb is steep and can be slippery. The terrain is no joke. Bring water and snacks. Round-trip was just under 4 miles from the parking area and its mostly in the sun and on rugged ground. The parking area is too small and if you dont arrive early, youll be parking along the main road much further away. The roughly 15 minute climb itself is not too bad, unless youre out of shape. There are cliffs so it can be dangerous for kids.

Also, be prepared to climb a little, thus individuals may need assistance in certain areas. We went on a weekday thinking there would not be many people, yet we were wrong and had to wait a little while in order to get a picture on the bridge. The bridge from afar looks narrow, but is not. We took a picture of a group of 8 individuals. Have the person waiting in line behind you take your picture, otherwise you will have to do a selfie which will not show the beauty of the bridge and surrounding area. If you are afraid of heights dont look down while on the bridge, but do take a moment to look around you, the view is amazing! Will definitely be going back to hike other trails. You can also drive your vehicle, ATV, etc. (if 4 wheel enabled and good clearance) to a parking area so the hike to the bridge does not take as long. A car will not clear the rocks you have to go over so dont try. Most people taking vehicles were in jeeps or trucks.

Absolutely worth it. I visited in February and it was not that busy which made this even better. I hiked it with my mom, she is in her late forties and not a hiker. It took us about an hour and 40 minutes to the bridge, moving at a walk with occasional breaks. The beginning of the path is super easy and then continues to get more difficult and steep. We also made this hike about an hour and a half before sunset. It gets very cold at night in Feb in Sedona so be sure to pack for the cold and if you decide to hike this close to sunset, bring flashlights. We spent about 20 minutes at the bridge and our hike back was just over an hour, we move fast in the dark! :)

Short hike, relatively easy. But not really any views until you get to the bridge. And there it can be very crowded. More than half of the hike is on the dirt road where off road vehicles are driving by. If you want to feel like youre out in nature, this is not a good hike.

Really nice and easy trail. Hike up to stand on the bridge is the most difficult part. Really nice experience. I do recommend to do this trail in the morning when the sun is shining over your head all the time. My husband and I really enjoyed it.

Beautiful hike but its not for beginners. Go early in the morning, bring lots of water and/or your camelpacks. The last stretch of the hike is straight up and a little tricky.

Really great hike with incredible views. One thing to note is half the hike is just getting to the trailhaid via an access road that is only accessible on an ATV or similar. No cars would be able to traverse it. Maybe a Jeep. The hike itself is lots of fun but is very popular, so expect traffic.

If you’ve ever visited Sedona this is probably one of the hikes people have suggested along with Cathedral Rock. This trail is relatively easy and can be done in about 2 hours round trip. When looking for the trail we found that google maps sent us to a residential area as opposed to the main trailhead. Because Sedona has dozens of trails that intertwine with neighborhoods you need to be aware of this going into it. For the most part, there will be signs leading you towards the trail as you get closer so we suggest following those to find designated parking areas. Although some of the more popular trails have some parking lots they only fit around 20-30 cars and on busy weekends these trails can see hundreds of visitors throughout the day. Many people often park on the dirt off of the main road leading to the trail but be sure that you do not park in areas that will get your car towed. From the parking lot there is a relatively flat but rocky trail for over a mile leading to the incline portion of the trail. It is very common to find pink Jeep tours and other vehicle tours or common off road vehicles driving through this portion so be aware of that. After this section it is slightly more difficult but can be done by just about all skill levels. Once at the top you will usually find a long line of people waiting to take their pictures on the bridge. You will normally need to ask someone to take your picture but it is nice that you can get the shot with no other people in the picture. Overall this is a nice and short hike if you’re ever in Sedona and want some amazing golden hour shots!- @wanderingwithustwo
