Definitely not what you expect. Drive through a neighborhood to a small parking lot. It is a small hike, so take the trail to the summit of the peak next to chimney Rock. Nice views from the top. The paths are marked, but if you are adventurous mage your own way to the top.

Stunning views and fantastic trails! Make your way to the top. Absolutely worth it! Kid and dog friendly. But they need to be able to do strenuous areas comfortably.

Such a great hike! Fairly short but there are some steeper up hill parts.The trails are very well maintained and very well marked. The view from the top is outstanding! Fair variety of plant life and rock formations. I cant recommend it enough! We met very nice people and the colors from the sunset made it a near perfect day.

Great hike that is fairly technical, especially the last part of the trail that is more technical and of moderate difficulty. The resulting view is worth the climb. We were originally going to hike Devils Bridge but it was so crowded we gave up. We took the Lizardhead trail just past Lizardhead Lane. You can’t get to the top unless you are rock climber

Great little trail easy enough hike with the exception of little sugar loaf which was a tad steep but well worth the views.

Beautiful trails around Chimney Rock and surrounding area. We had the place to ourselves. Easy hikes with moderate elevation change, unless you choose to go off-trail toward the top. Great experience!
