Closed today, due to Covid, this is a good stopping point on the way to my mothers house and we like Woods Trail.
Wish it was open and running at full capacity but I understand. Probably one of the most beautiful places I have been. We love that area so much to do we will be back.
A beautiful place to get your start on the Red Rocks Scenic Byway. The building is closed at the moment, but it is still worth stopping at to read the stuff outside and look at the views.
AWESOME place to beMakes you feel really smallMake the short drive from Vegas and see what God made for you to see
Great place to stop for red rock information if youre just getting in to town. Lots of maps and info, knowledgeable staff.
The Rangers are extremely helpful and friendly. Great experience
Pretty scenery. A nice photo opportunity, and good information regarding the entire area.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean restrooms. Trails in the park are great!
The scenery in this area is fantastic. While everything is in COVID shut down the ranger station still has an abundance of maps and information available with zero contact. Message boards, totes with trail maps etc.
Would have been nice if it was open.
Its closed due to Covid. There is no one outside to assist with questions. There is a number you can call, but its not shown well.
Was closed today. Usually a great place to stop and visit. Grounds werent as clean and maintained to there usual standards
Most helpful. Get a map!
This was a great experience. 1st time visit to Sedona, the volunteer ranger was a huge help in noting a lot of inside info on places to visit and how to best approach them- locals trail access vs touristy access. Also convinced us the day trip to the Grand Canyon was worth the trip and it was, especially the scenic routes he told us to use. I wish I had his name, retired gent from Texas.
Very nice stopping point. Nice views!!!
The ranger station was a welcome sight, clean restrooms, yes. We got our senior Passports stamped and gathered our travel information. The gift shop was well appointed with gifts representing the desert and the famous red rocks. Everyone was more than helpful.
Great viewing of Bell Rock etc. Clean bathrooms, visitor center and gift shop.
Uber helpful people!!! Great free (a donation is helpful) maps and travel ideas. Informative interactive display about the Sedona area. A Spectacular vantage point for a picture and Well worth the stop!!
Visited here couple time before. It displayed many informative materials about the history of native American in this area. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it closed at Christmas Eve when I visited again today. Public restrooms are available here.
I was not able to go through the whole center as it was after hours but the information outside was good and the views spectacular.
What more can I say. Great scenery
Closed. Couldnt buy my pass annual pass. But this is a great place with incredible USFS staff.
Stopped in to grab a map and a quick bathroom break. Very helpful staff and awesome view of the red rocks! Oh and you get to take a picture with Smokey the Bear!!
Amazing views of red rock formations, and the ranger station is filled with great displays and information. Would love to come back with several Grand children on a future trip, tho the 3 day drive to get here might nix that idea.
Definitely stop to grab a picture with the Smokey the Bear statue. Bathrooms are nice and you can get some pictures of the red rocks before entering fully in Sedona.
Rangers were very helpful and suggested many hiking trails.
The staff were so nice and the place has alot of information. Also has a great view!
We talked to an older gentleman that had lived in the area for many years. He was so informative! We really appreciated his kindness. This is a great place for information on hiking trails (backpacking or day hikes), mountain biking trails, camp sites, and other touristy activities. We also learned where the best views are for each location we planned to travel. Very helpful!
Excellent little visitors center with fantastic and knowledgeable staff. The on-site rangers and docents were extremely helpful and provided really helpful information, Maps, and other guides to help us enjoy our short trip to the Sedona area.
Great start to the red rocks...get your information and passes here
Went here several times in a week of visiting the area. Good pitstop. Good overview of bell and courthouse. Lots of good info inside and a place to stamp your national parks pass.

They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the lical trails. Not only for hiking but for 4wheeling and biking or horse riding. Very clean and a lovely view.
Good place to stop get parking pass and map rangers not very friendly though
Good place to get oriented as you enter town and get ready to go to one of the trailheads. Rangers will hook you up with a map and some advice.Kids might enjoy the exhibits around the room about the history of the nature theyre about to explore. Theres also a little store and restrooms. You can buy your parking passes here, or at the trailheads when you park. If you arrive at those later, Ill warn you now that legal parking is tough to find.
Stopped in here several times. Great views, very friendly and helpful staff and very clean bathrooms!
Stop and be informed. Spotless restroom. Lots of information.
Beautiful scenery. Nice stop to educate yourself on the surrounding area.
I rarely stop for local information. The staff was very informative and polite! There was an theater with a movie showing local area points of interest and activities.

Nice and friendly and get good info. Was pretty neat watching the Hummingbirds come right up by the feeders they have set up by the entry door
Stopped here on my whim and worked out for us. Extremely helpful and friendly Rangers here for trail information. But the best part was some local advice for eating and local shopping for going to the Petrified Forest. The have plenty of trail info and maps, plus the overlook is great for some picture taking before getting to Sedona.
Great place to get maps and stamp your national park pass port.

What an excellent stop on the way into Sedona! Beautiful and well done displays throughout the station.Stunning views where you may take panoramic photos of the stunning terrain. Artifacts on display are interesting and informative and the geological exhibits explain the rock formations. The gift shop is really fun. Well worth a stop.

Friendly staff. Gave us good tips on sight seeing locations.
Pretty view of the mountains.
After driving by here a few dozen times, the wife and I decided to stop to see if they had the 2019 OHV map yet, it hasnt been released yet though. We were pleasantly surprised with the ranger station. There were quite a few informational displays, knowledgeable employees, and a small gift shop.Theres a Smokey Bear statue out front, and if the lighting is right, you can get the red rocks in the reflection of the windows behind him.
So beautiful! You have to go and admire its beauty !
The ranger at the desk was one of the most pleasant and helpful people ever
The folks behind the counters at the Red Rock ranger station were sweet, informative, and obviously love to be of service in bringing people a better experience of the parks!
Cool view here, plus lots of info on all of the sites nearby. It was a good place to stop and stretch our legs and decide where we were gonna go.
Fun and informative. Nice 13 minute video. Friendly and helpful staff! Perfect place to start a visit to Sadona and Red Rock area.
Very helpful.. Alot of info..
Scenic rock formations and a well staffed information center
The most spectacular views of Sedona from the South looking Northward are here at this stop. Thd Ranger station has a cool giftshop. The Rangers answer questions about, trails, routes and unknown sites.
Bummer! Closed, everything is on line.
While the government was shut down in January 2019, we happened to stop here to ask some questions about camping. We were happily surprised when it was open due to some volunteers on a Sunday afternoon. The older gentleman working behind the counter provided plenty of knowledge and paper maps of his favorite hiking trails and campgrounds. The staff has a very good understanding of many of the attractions around the greater sedona and Prescott area. Defiantly plenty of smiles faces!
Helpful and interesting place.
Make sure you stop by here we got a lot of good infomation
We were on our way to Munds Wagon Trail and stopped here hoping to get maps and other information turns out they dont open till 9 and we were there a little after 7 in the morning. Even though we were there before they opened there are maps and other useful information posted outside the building. What surprised us the most was The incredible views from this ranger station its worth a visit just to park and walk around the area and take in the awesome scenery
Invaluable. Employee extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Will make our 3 mile hike much easier.
