A beautiful veterans cemetery off the beaten path a little in the Sarasota area. An absolutely gorgeous layout and beautiful landscape for a cemetery. One of the most impressive veteran cemeteries aside from Arlington National Cemetery that I have ever seen.

This is a beautiful well kept Cemetery. My grandmothers headstone was not up yet and she still had a reef for Christmas with her marker. It melted my heart all the wonderful people that brought and took their time to decorate the headstones for Christmas. I went to take her marker some flowers, it was a lovely surprise. I know they hold this event but I didnt expect it because her headstone was not up yet. I would suggest anyone in the area to go around and look at all the displays and the many beautiful ways the National Cemetery honors those who have served. Especially around Christmas time it is amazing to see how much love is put in by the local community gives to our loved ones that have passed on.

I had the honor to be apart of placing flags on the graves for Veterans Day. It was a wonderful experience. The grounds were kept Immaculate. There were people set up with tables and books around the grounds so that you could find your family or loved one easily I looked up several people that I knew and was very easy for me to find them once I knew where to go.

Beautiful grounds with a large modern amphitheater, thoughtful monuments, stone structures with images and examples of characteristics unique to military members. It is welcoming to wildlife and has newer facilities. Overall, a serene place to visit loved ones or honor our nations best. If youre on the way to Myakka State Park or Sarasota beaches, this is an easy stop to make if youd like to pay respects.

Awesome visit, very humbling to visit the final resting place if so many veterans. Grounds are very well kept. And easy to find a fellow vet s grave. Quiet and lovely. A real tribute to the sacrifice made by so many men and women

Attended during the Wreaths Across America ceremony. It is very surreal, calm and peaceful here. We honored those who served for our country and laid wreaths at their final resting place.

The grounds are kept pristine, the buildings look up to date and clean. Amphitheatre is slightly covered with plenty of seating, amazing art work throughout the park. A great place to reflect on our Warriors and their sacrifices.

Outstanding memorial military cemetery.

Beautiful grounds and operated to perfection. The entire staff, second to none. We encourage all of our veteran families to utilize this wonderful cemetery. Thank you.

The cemetary as a whole is ok. But im pretty sure the undead come out at night. The customers werent very talkative and the vibe wasnt great. it felt kinda dead. But people are dying to get in. All you need to pick up chicks is a shovel. Iva had plenty of one grave stands here

How can you view all these pictures and it not bring tears to your eyes? Thank God for all of these lives. May we never forget what they sacrificed for us.

This is one of the finest National Cemeterys in the country. Well worth a visit.

Well maintained and relaxing feeling while visiting my belated relatives and friends. Peaceful. We will putting moms ashes there in the fall when all can come to her celebration of life. Dad was laid t rest almost 6 years ago.Now they will be there together. RIP Mom and Dad. We sure do mss you both.

Beautiful resting place for our men & women that served our country.

My daddy is buried here and I always feel at peace on the grounds. The service was beautiful, the staff very kind and even went out of their way to save a decoration from some flowers we left immediately after his burial. I called and asked if they could save it for me and I would pick it up. The woman I spoke to simply said of course and then she mailed it overnight to me.

One of the most peaceful places on Earth. Beautiful place worthy of honoring our service men, women and spouses. I encourage everyone to experience it.

I am very happy that this is where I chose to bury my husband. Being a veteran also I have a reserved plot right next to him. When my time on earth is done I will be honored to have this as my final resting place.

Hours to visit are sunrise to sunset. Office hours are 800a until 430p. The simplicity and uniformity of the head stones is art. My mother in law is buried here. It is always peaceful and clean. Thank goodness they have restrooms too. Its a few hours for us to get here.

Our son, Alexander was laid to rest there. It is a beautiful, perfectly maintained place.

Beautiful, peaceful, a respectful cemetery to lay out Nation’s Hero’s.

We do a lot of memorial Services for our Brother Veterans. It is with Honor and humility that we are we are able to do this service. I will borrow from our Chaplin of our unit that is part of the ritual. This veteran while serving our country took care of our flag, now is the time for our flag to take care of this veteran. RIP Our Brothers and Sisters.

My sister, Margaret Peach Mumma is buried here in Marine Section. On January 15th, 2016, her husband, Leonard will join her. Their grave site is located very close to a beautiful lake. The grounds are kept up to date and the staff are most helpful in assisting folks that visit. William J. Peach.
