There are many options to enjoy outdoor sports and just nature. There is a community garden. Im planning on planting something there as well. The exercise of gardening plus adding out our community is a huge plus! There is a tennis court, a basketball court and a big playground. If youre looking for some open space this is a place fit for you as well. There are picnic tables under canopies, woodland down in the underbrush, barely touch except for the usual human garbage strew about. There are many indoor facilities but at the moment they have been closed due to covid which is great. Theyve definitely put focus on social distancing. Its a pretty part with wooden walkways and it is very inviting to all ages. Two features that I also love is the bat house for our nocturnal mammals, and a lending library for kids.

An exceptional community park. Which boasts some of the most majestic oak trees in Sarasota county. A wonderful place to take the family with peaceful walking trails to take a Nature walk. It offers a playground for the younger children, covered shelters with picnic tables and BBQ grills. You can reserve these spots to hold an event through the Sarasota Parks and Recreation department. There is a Pavilion with a gymnasium and several planned activities are held weekly in multi-purpose rooms. If you like to play basketball there is a court to play on.They also offer summer camp for the kids and plenty of space to run around and play. Nice place to play tennis late at night, theres always a game going on. There is yoga classes and many other different classes to sign up. Inside is clean with a basketball court inside as well. They also have a covered picnic area for birthday parties & gatherings and a playground for the kids. There are othere picnic tables if you just want to relax in a quiet place and read a book.

Playground: Nice playground for the kiddos age 2-5. Everything is clean and well kept. Oak trees also provide a nice shade over the entire thing. Benches, picnic tables, a book box and also a small water fountain. I like that its fence in.

This is a great park with a ton of amenities and all a family could ask for from a park. They have basketball and tennis courts, good playground that is fenced in and shady, pavilions, indoor restrooms, great parking, and a ton of open field. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is if you are hosting a birthday party you will have to lug all of your items about 100-200 yards to the pavilion as the staff WILL NOT unlock the gate for unloading. I been here for several times for parties and its a comment made by every parent at every party every time. Hopefully they will change this someday.

Kids love it, outdoor tennis courts and basketball. The playground is fenced with only 1 exit. Shaded which is great with our weather. Nice nature/jogging trails & picnic area!

Pickleball 7 days a week. Yes 7 days a week. 8 am to 11 am everyday. Nicest group, sometimes up to 4 courts playing.

Pickleball every morning, but only 2 marked courts, other tennis court must be marked with chalk.

Christmas party was held here as it has been for many yrs. Always a great time. Park is fun for all ages, playground with a fence allowed the parents a little free time to play, too! Parking was a little tight, but nothing we couldnt manage for 200 guests!

The basketball lights dont turn on at night so we have to stop playing around 7

Buildings are nice but the mens room had two shower stalls and they are no longer working but one was being used like a urinal instead. Gross. Clean it up and close of the shower stalls if they dont work or fix them.

Its a beautiful park and its great for toddlers. Theres only a gate opening in n out of the park area. Theres no gate there but your able to watch n see who comes in or out of the park area. They also hv tennis courts n basketball courts as well.

I was there for indoor pickleball class. Great to play inside on a warm day.

There is basketball, tennis, a community center, childrens playground and a large pavilion area. Awesome park.

Very good place to throw a childs party

I love this park & I highly recommend it. There are: tennis courts, a large field, basketball court outside, a picnic area with gazebo, and an inside area with restroom. This park also has trails in the back of the field and I love using this course to practice FootGolf shots since there is a hill in the back and they keep the grass green.P.S. FootGolf is golf with a soccer ball, played on a normal golf course (I wish Bobby Jones Golf Course would include it in their upcoming renovations!)

We had lots of fun playing with my girl on their Tunnels & Fun playground on Wednesday. Great place for kids to play with toys & to meet new moms!

Had a blast with my kiddos here. Moms you can even get out there on some of these new things they made for the children.

Its in a great neighborhood a lot of kids play there they got a basketball court a playground for kids big open field and they also do soccer I believe on Thursdays for kids and a bunch of other activities furkids there as well but if you want to play some basketball they got a good Court up there

Colonial Oaks has great facilities and has a very nice playground as well as tennis courts and basketball court. There is out door pavilion area available to reserve as well as indoor areas. The park is very close to Webber So there is noise from the traffic going by but it isnt very bad. Overall its a nice park to have an event at or just to bring children out to play.

Played table tennis in the gym. It was well lit and comfortably air conditioned. Parking was convenient and the rest room was clean.

We visit a lot of parks with playgrounds and this is one of our favorites. The playground is fully shaded by trees which prevents the equipment from me coming too heated for the children to play on it. It also keeps the playground cool so that the children do not become overheated. The only downside to this park is that the toddler playground and the elementary-aged playground are not separated by any kind of dividing fence. The elementary-aged kids will sometimes run over and play on the toddler equipment and the toddler aged kids will want to play on the elementary-aged equipment and that sometimes present a safety concern, especially when the park is crowded.

I come here during the day and at night. Always active! Great picnic area, playground, basketball, tennis courts and 2 Pickleball courts outside with lights.

Nice little park with an area outside for parties and a large lawn to play games in. It had a nice updated playground and a gym for basketball and other various activities. There are a few nice tennis courts and also an outdoor basketball court. They host a summer camp and other classes as well. This park is open to the public.

This is our favorite park in all of Sarasota. With the super active four-year-old we are always looking for good parks and this one has everything! Most importantly, in the warmer months it has the most shade of any party we have visited. Truly a five star Park

Nice private quiet park. Fantastic playground equipment, my girlfriends children LOVE it! There is tennis courts and an indoor and outdoor basketball court. Plenty of shade, picnic tables and grills for small gatherings. For larger parties, Im pretty sure you need to contact the association to save a date.
