11/2020 - This is the highest natural place in Sarasota County at 80 feet high. Its a great place to view the sunset and get your steps in! For some reason, I remember there being sidewalks all over the hill several years ago. Now its a little uneven ground and more natural, so watch your step. The park does seem to be dog friendly as there were several there. If you want a little more exercise, park at Ackerman Park and walk to the hill visible in the distance.

Great place for walking and exercise. The massive hill allows for high intensity training up and down the steep incline, and once you’ve reached the top, you have a beautiful view of surrounding sarasota. Long pathways for distance running as well. I fly my drone here for great atmosphere shots, and my graduation pictures were also taken here due to the nice setting. 5/5

If you love birds and peaceful, beautiful scenery, this is the place. I absolutely love it here. You can see so many species of bird in one place. I usually walk around Mount Celery for half an hour then wander down to the Palmer Boardwalk to relax and bird watch. If I dont recognise some, theres always someone who knows. Birders are very friendly and its just a lovely way to spend time. There is another boardwalk over on Raymond Road which has different birds sometimes. Its worth checking out both. Highly recommended.

Overall, I appreciate that Celery exists. A wonderful place to exercise, or relax, or walk your dog. At the moment though, there isnt the upkeep that there needs to be. There are a few dangerous wash outs that would injure anyone who didnt notice them while jogging. Its mid June 2020 to put an extra time stamp on the post.

So for 13years living in Sarasota Florida I have been missing hills and mountains.Did you know we do have a hill?! I was no to thrilled about the idea of exploring it in the middle but of July’s hot sunny day but will admit my worries were quickly blown away with pleasant refreshing breeze. It’s an easy hike and even our 3 years old enjoyed running through the trails

Very pleasant place to go for a stroll. It’s just enough out and away from city life, but not to far that it’s inconvenient. Great exercise if you go up the steep trail, or bring your bike to go up the longer, more level trail. You are rewarded with a great view once you reach the top.

This would have been perfect if there had not been constantly over flying helicopters. I think there is a training program near by. The incline wasnt too rough, but was nice to be off of a treadmill for a change! I would recommend morning visits when they open (6am I believe) because, surprise, Florida outside can be challenging during the summer.

Had a great afternoon of hiking and exploring. We found this to be both challenging and relaxing. The only thing we were unhappy with was an (employee?). We brought a picnic lunch with us and he kicked us out of the gazebo, There are no signs saying we couldnt sit in it and watch the birds while having a sandwich. He couldnt have been more rude or abrupt. My husband and I are well into our 30s. He spoke to us like we were teenage children tearing up the place.... Other than that, it was an enjoyable day

Its a lovely outdoor spot to put in some vigorous movement, climbing and descending. A challenge lacking in most of Florida. I gained 40 pounds moving to Florida not having stairs to climb anymore (...laundry in the basement, beds on the third floor.)Its effective exercise for balance and strength, considering its really a trash heap in disguise.May God bless you in peace and mercy. DONT TAKE ANY VACCINES. THEY ARE NOT TO BE FORCED ON ANYONE. ALL ARE POISON CONTAINING HUMAN FETAL TISSUE, MERCURY AND ALUMINUM, ALL TOXIC.Humans dont need vaccines, they are like stopping a burglary by unlocking your doors and destroying your furniture so they wont take it. The next virus will be more deadly and quickly spread. The vaccines will actually turn your immune system against you in a horribly painful death from the evidence on ferrets in research studies on this very vaccine for C O V I D 1 9. All died. Its their goal, YOU DEAD. But do your own research, masks keep virus active right where you dont want them to be. Trust Gods design to protect you, study infectious disease control and vectors. Good hygiene, avoiding public places, shopping centers and congested areas. Hospitals are for the seriously ill or injured, not testing or loitering. They need space, we must self care responsibly. Learn about natural resources and healing plants, methods of comfort and pain relief, first aid and acute care with safety for all. Prepare your supplies of food, water or filtration without power, medicines required to sustain life, personal supplies, like bibles and candles and favorite things to do to comfort and satisfy while in a true, deadly and widespread event that stops all movement justifiably. The next body count from virus #2 will be real, bad and ugly. Targetting children, it will be less than 72 hours from infection/exposure to onset of death. Build immunities with good health, exercise and nutrition. Limit all interaction, gloves and masks do help if properly used but its not to be done in confidence or sloppily or death will occur. These are the pestilence of the earth spoken of in Revelation. Also to prophets speak of it all, all the events yet to be, those already passed leading the proof of what must come. We are in biblical times watching Gods power and glory being revealed, but not before we ALL, ALL are required to see the evil that has been tolerated for so long against his innocence children and poor. Only then can righteousness be clearly understood and people of goodwill will shine like the noon day sun in a sea of darkness surrounding. Close up, dont look but pray those days of darkness away.

Mi
Review №57

If its celery that youre looking for, keep it moving Buster! If you are looking for the highest point to hike in good old Sarasota, well youve got it. Great views are definitely to be had atop the hill at the celery field. Not only that, but once youve hiked to the top, there is a pretty good chance that youll be treated to the roar of a tiger from the Big Cat Habitat next door. The lions and tigers rarely get out of their enclosures, so there is only like a 1 in 3 chance of getting bit, eaten or slightly mauled. I actually dont have any statistics and these are purely imaginary statistics, but I have a pretty wild imagination. This is an absolutely wonderful spot for birdwatching. Ive seen everything from Bald Eagles to Sandhill Cranes. Great place to exercise, get some fresh air and get up above the wetlands and see some amazing sights. Great place for the kids. Bring your dog, but leash laws apply. Be considerate and clean up your poop. Kids and dogs.

This is the highest elevation in Sarasota County. A great place to jog, go for a bike ride, or just take a walk and take in the view.8/7/18. I have been consistently going up to the top of the hill to film my morning broadcast of #LiveWithNature. I use this place as a meditation and relaxation spot, while filming the Sunrise, listening to the birds sing, enjoying the rabbits who call this place home and the Lions roaring in the background at the Big Cat Habitat and Wildlife Sanctuary. I highly recommend you visit this Wildlife and Nature trail recreational park. A memorable moment was on July 4th this year when my Granddaughter and I enjoyed viewing no less than 15 Fireworks displays at the same time. It was spectacular. Have a great time and enjoy! #letsguide If this review is helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks

I really enjoy the walking trails all over the fields, very nice. Just the one thing I noticed when I finished my run and needed to rest so I sat down for a second, I went to the learning center where the garden is next to the parking lot and it was a very sad looking garden that hasn’t been cared for in a while and I could tell. Plants were mostly brown and dried. It would be nice to be able to seat at the centers garden and see beautiful colorful flowers and butterflies other than dead trees and a cheese burger from McDonald’s on the floor walking up to the path when I visit it. Sarasota is so beautiful I was just disappointed with the care put into the place.
