Great little park. Needs more parking. Small playground for kids. Lots of people walking dogs. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Park in a residential neighboorhood so be respectful when driving through.

Beautiful and quiet little park not far from the highway and the Sarasota international airport. There are nice walking trails and a beautiful little pond with lots of ducks and other wildlife. The pond water is very brown but still lovely and there’s a nice dock and plenty of parking. They lock the gate at dusk

Paved trails meander in a nstural Florida setting. Clean restrooms. Play areas for kids. It is not a large park but the perfect get-away from suburban streets. Check out the nesting bald eagles!

With the area so overcrowded, its a real blessing when I discovered this park. Great place to relax, picnic, walk, run, or even do a little fishing from the dock. I hope the facility will always be maintained a a gem of the area.

This is a small secluded cute little park. The path was all paved and did a loop. There are a few exercise machines along the path and cute little education areas. There is also a pier that over looks the lake. This park was very clean, well shaded, and not crowded at all. There’s also a seesaw and two swings in the park. Great place to come and bring your kids, pets, or to just enjoy a nice walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Well maintained trails, nice scenery, and dog-friendly. A bit small for a long walk, but its nice for a quick stroll outdoors.

Nice hidden little park. Everything looks well taken care of my only request would be that the park was bigger. I liked that the bathrooms were clean and that theres a well built shelter with roof for having picnics with the family.I also like that theres a pretty big dock with water faucet available for nearby stray cats. Just beware of the alligators with the water you can clearly see them coming up for air.

Nestled in the Palm Aire country club community (not a gated community, hence everyone is welcomed) you’ll find this breathtaking place. You’ll stroll with (or without) your pup(s) on paths canopied by beautiful trees of copious species. There’s educational boards listing their specific information if you’re interested. Your pup(s) are provided their own drinking fountain and of course, many “cleanup stations” as well for everyone’s convenience. Your children or grands can run wild in the open field and swing on the swings or the other playground equipment. A covered area will keep you cool or dry and the restrooms certainly come in handy for those specific needs. Don’t miss the calm and serene lake with its deck. It’ll reveal many turtles popping up to greet you! And there’s more...this is a must do for a peaceful soul ️

Awesome park. Its a great place to walk your dog(s), have fun with your kids, exercise, have a party, or bird/animal/people watch - note the little alligator picture. Its Florida, we have alligators, so they keep their distance if you keep yours.

Nice park on a lake, decent short trail through the conservation area. Playground and picnic areas with no BBQ grills, exercise equipment on trail.

Its so quiet and has workout equipment that you can use around every corner and its just so beautiful

This park has level sidewalks which are paved. Great for cycling or wheelchairs. Path is a complete circle. So, regardless where you start, youll return to where you parked. Great for dogs on a leash. There are sitting and picnic areas along with a small playground.

Right now there is an alligator in the water over by the pond area. Please do not feed him, i saw people feeding him today that is not a good idea as he will start to associate food with people...I live near this lovely park and I want everyone to be safe.

The park is great. Body weight machines to work out. Trails to run, bike, or walk dogs. They have doggy bags and a water fountain for them, too. Theres enough shade of you are avoiding the sun. Bathrooms and pavilion on site. Theres two entrances, so that may be confusing the first time you come, and its tucked back in a neighborhood.

Nice little park in the neighborhood, good for short walks, or riding your bike. Nice deck with a Bench by the water.

Beautiful scenery, lots of turtles in the water right off the dock. Owls on the trees. Very relaxing and peaceful. Great place to walk your dogs or just go to unwind after work. There is a playground area for the kids with covered tables and restrooms. Long walk or bike paths that go through the woods. Very clean and well kept.

Nice park! It was a little confusing finding the exact location for, it is hidden in the back of a development. However, my family really enjoyed walking the trails with different workout machines and fun facts about animals and other nature things! Very clean atmosphere was enjoyable!

Well, me and my husband looked up parks, and found this cute secluded one, and we were impressed at the beginning and while we were eating our lunch, there was this mid 50 to 60s couple walking 2 white poodles, the women came up to me and my husband while we were sitting in my 2012 Ford Mustang 5.0 and She said Well just letting you know that the whole park knows what you are doing me and my husband looked at each other and said wow, this women is nuts and needs to be admitted to a mental hospital right away, like literally your gonna sit there and come up to me and say some crazy thing like that, remind you we were eating our lunch and enjoying the park, while Im sitting in a paid for 30k vehicle, and she was thinking aka judging US cuz we are in our late 30s thinking we were doing something illegal which we werent, so as that being said, if you do come to this park, be very cautious and do realize the folks here are very rude and disrespectful..

Beautiful Country Park. Well kept, great scenery. Saw some turtles in the lake, tiny little geckos and even saw an Eagles nest. Great place to take the family. Highly recommend.

Had some time to kill after a round of golf, waiting on another too get off work. Decided to head to the park, relax, and read a book. Quaint and for the most part quiet. An occasional person walking their dog. Enjoyed my visit and would return.

Great place to walk or run throughout the trails there are exercise machines There is only a seesaw... 2 big kid swings... two baby swings & a Car seat Like swing no shade above them so go when the sun is down. Theres a big empty area near the swings to just run around maybe play ball. Clean bathrooms & cold water fountains

This park is set very far back in a residential area its a beautiful place its geared more towards people who like to ride bikes jog or just trail walk . Its also very dog friendly

Dog on leash park that is very shaded. Excellent for beating some of the heat from Florida summers. Has childrens playground, pier, two pavilions, restrooms, dog watering station and workout stations on a 1/2 mile circled paved walk.Negatives: Dog walkers dont always pick up after pets and dog bags dispenser is almost always empty. Only half of park accessible from trails.

Nice place, little path and playground. It is Sunup-Sundown and those gates close automatically when it gets dark!!! Despite what the hours posted on the government website say, the gates closed 30 minutes early on us.. good thing there is a quick release pin on the gate, because the call for help button is broken! And the local sheriffs/police are useless and uninformed about how to leave or even who to contact in an emergency.. No lighting either.. place just straight up goes dark at sunset! Be forewarned!!!

A nice place to take a walk

This is a wonderful quiet and very natural park. It is mostly shady and cool especially in the morning and late afternoon. There are several covered areas if you happen to get caught in one of this summer drizzles and a beautiful Lake to spend a few minutes looking out over and doing some morning meditation. The people are very friendly that you meet and there are many dog walkers. Overall it is a surprisingly natural and quiet Park tucked into the background of Sarasota.

Great place for quiet and nature watching. In cooler weather, we walk the small trails. There is a large pond with an observation deck. View is breathtaking in any kind of Florida weather. Picnic area with tables. Small kiddie play area. Hardly ever crowded. Hidden treasure just off University Parkway.

Nice little place to take in some nature in the city... its a little bit of what made me love Florida before everything was paved over!

The area is nice but if youre planning on taking your kids to play, go to Longwood park. The kids playground is pretty sorry, a couple of swings and a goofy teeter tot and thats about it.

Old Florida tucked away in the middle of a subdivision...what a treat!Follow the signs off of University Pkwy into Palm Aire on Whitfield ave and turn left and drive to end of street into park.Once there, youll forget youre surrounded by suburbia when you melt into the woods and walk the well maintained pathways and bridges and lawns with children playing on a unique set of swings and see saw...stop for a minute to read the various educational signs or sit on a bench and rest. Go to the waterside observation deck and look at the birds on the pond. Take your dog for a walk. They are welcome here. Go for a bike ride or a jog. Use the exercise machines along the way. Sit in a nest big enough for Big Bird! Play with your grandkids on the toadstool display! Have a picnic at one of the very nice pavilions. Make a restroom stop at one of the cleanest around. Enjoy greeting your neighbors and feeling safe and peaceful. Go for a walk alone and meditate on the beauty of nature...you wont be disappointed!

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time strolling through this tranquil, shady grove - an easy bike ride from residential neighborhoods near Lockwood and University, yet traffic noise was nearly inaudible. Facilities seemed nice, there are water fountains (even a dog watering station or two - how thoughtful!), educational signs and playgrounds for the kids, bike racks, exercise stations, and well maintained paths. Not a place to go if you are looking for a more strenuous hike, this park is a good choice for older folks, families with small children, or those looking for light exercise - jogging, biking, or just strolling. Wildlife abounds, from the ubiquitous lizards and squirrels to a multitude of dazzling dragonflies and butterflies flitting about everywhere. Take a relaxing stroll here, enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, and relax! :)
