Sarasota Garden Club is not just a historic mid-century modern building, its grounds are free and always open during daylight hours. Several garden areas to see and also a butterfly garden. Seating throughout for pause and reflection. Front side of gardens facing 41 managed by The Bay are lovely to stroll and watch the fish jump, the fountain spray and the birds looking for supper around the pond.The garden spaces and building are available for weddings and events.

Went to a wedding. The place was a beautiful setting for a non-churchy service. The reception was held on grounds as well. Staff was courteous and the food was good. Overall a pleasant experience.

Attended a meeting there. Lovely gardens maintained by club members. A casual visitor would be welcome to visit the butterfly garden next to the parking lot.

This is a hidden gem in Sarasota! And a great venue for meetings, weddings, and special events. They have a free outdoor garden you can meander through and host many special events throughout the year. Try and attend one of their plant sales or special events if you are in town visiting.

A tropical paradise in the heart of downtown Sarasota. It is a perfect venue for weddings and parties. The gardens are beautiful and the mid century modern historic building is mostly glass so you can be inside and feel like you are standing in the garden.

Setup a dessert bar for a gorgeous wedding here! It was such a lovely setting for a beautiful bohemian wedding!

One of the prettiest Gardens in Sarasota and since its free and open to the public and only takes about a half hour to enjoy its a great alternative to Selby Gardens with their $20 fees. But not as exotic. A great place to have lunch and possibly volunteer.

We wanted a nice intimate garden wedding where we could have an outside ceremony but an inside reception, because Florida weather. We also wanted to be able to enjoy the gardens as we particularly wanted a garden wedding and for the gardens to be part of the decor. Well the Sarasota Garden Club was perfect for us. It is small and intimate but beautiful. Their reception room has three glass walls that look upon the gardens and the doors and the doors open to make the inside outside garden experience seamless. It was just perfect for our Spring wedding in March. Carol was easy to work with and always happy to answer our questions. The price was great, less than some of the larger gardens in the area but just as beautiful. We had our ceremony on the tropical garden patio which is a nice fenced off private area. The butterfly gardens in from is what I fell in love with though more than anything. The day before we were able to decorate and set up and the garden club also had members out there gardening and beautifying the garden so it was in tip top shape for our wedding. I am not sure if it was coincidental or not but it made us feel special. All of our guests loved the venue and commented on how beautiful it was. It didnt need much dolling up because its beauty truly spoke for itself. I am so happy we chose to have our wedding there it couldnt have been more inviting or perfect for us.

The gardens are lovely and well cared for. A butterfly garden, falling waters garden among other special gardens. Short walk from the van wezel.

Subtle and small but so beautiful. This is one of my favorite spots in sarasota. Every garden area is different and each one has its own theme like a water garden and a butterfly garden and even a small rose garden! Its a really peaceful place to go and just relax and enjoy nature on a small scale. Be sure to grab a pamphlet on your way out if you wanna know mpre about it and dont be a dbag its beautiful so dont drop your trash or pick the plants.

Not worth my drive to get there. Couldnt find a entrance. Butterfly garden was pretty though.
