Clean clean clean. Great hotel with a private beach and 2 pools for the family. Very accommodating. We got the regular room but when we got there, we decided we wanted to upgrade and got the balcony beach view for my wifes birthday and the view was definitely worth it. Plenty of shells out for the people to collect on the beach. Drinks by the pools were good. Definitely will be coming back
Went here Thanksgiving week 2020. Very nice place. Tiki Bar to watch the games and have lunch. Also a nice restaurant on property to have breakfast or dinner. Two pools, an adult only pool and a family pool. There are two buildings here, the newer tower section and the older section. I read some previous reviews about the older section not being as nice. We tried the older section, as it is cheaper. It has been remodeled and is very nice and looks fresh inside. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay in either section. It is walking distance to St. Armand’s Circle if you don’t have mobility issues. The beach is very nice. The city is currently doing a beach restoration in the area. They do have some construction equipment in the area, but does not get in the way of the beach. If you are cyclists like we are, there is a paved off-road trail called Legacy Trail, that is very nice. No cars allowed. It’s about 14 miles from the hotel.Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again
This place is really great. Right on the beach, super clean, the staff is so attentive while youre there. Food is great. Our room was 1205 and so beautiful. The reason it doesnt get 5 stars is because we were there for 5 days and our ac broke. Twice. The first time we woke up to a hot living room the maintenance worker said the condensation tray gets full so he emptied it and we should be fine. 48 hours later the exact same thing happened. For 342 a night, and that was with a promo, that should not have happened a second time. Also, upon leaving I called the front desk about a pair of missing sunglasses and never received a call back. I would have like to just get a return call even if housekeeping was unable to find them. She said she would call back but I never heard from anyone again. Overall great experience.
If any one is searching for great deals for hotels and resorts go to ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ made a reservation for a resort on there and they had the best rates worldwide!Absolutely loved our stay here!! So magical and fun! Close to shopping, art, music and so much more! Very relaxing and such amazing views.
We had an excellent experience! We were in a 2 bedroom suite with a partial ocean view. It was clean, updated, and had wonderful amenities. Jason the manager was beyond accommodating, answering any questions we had, and making sure we had an enjoyable stay. Also, the restaurant on the 8th floor is DELICIOUS. Especially the breakfast. I highly recommend eating there! The views are fantastic. You are within a 10 minute walk to a ton of other restaurants/bars etc. We can’t wait to come back!
I cant say enough great things about this resort. Proximity to the beach, volleyball, ping pong, amazing Tiki Bar, great breakfast restaurant (drift). The rooms were generous, updated, clean. Everything works at the highest level and tons of customer service! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you!!!
Overall, we wouldnt recommend the resort. There was no single major thing wrong. There were many small things that make it a less than premium experience. They arent cleaning the rooms during your stay. We had ants in the bathroom. The shuttle service to St. Armands Circle has been reduced. The pub and restaurant close very early. One of the hot tubs was green and very cloudy. Cleaning staff left garbage bags in the hallway. The beach is currently undergoing reconstruction, which is out of the resorts control, but takes away from the experience. The staff were all very friendly. Its not a bad place, but its very hard to recommend for the prices.
Positive: The room was perfect,, Entertainment the pool was really nice and clean
Have stayed here with my husband for the last week, upon our arrival we were given an upgrade to a beachfront room—and wow. This place has such amazing views. Love how you can just step out onto the spacious balcony and hear the ocean and the waves feets away. The rooms are large and clean. There’s a kitchenette with a big full-size fridge. Had no complaints the entire trip, other than the fact that sometimes there are loud children hanging out in the adults only pool area. Their WiFi was fast—was able to have ZOOM meetings without an issue. This has been a very relaxing week, don’t actually want to leave.
Great location. Nice amenities in the room. Best hotel wifi Ive ever had. Was able to work, Zoom, etc with little problems from my room, which is a big factor for me. My balcony room did have a bug problem. The slider could use a screen door to keep the bugs out. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Overall enjoyed my trip. Would return.
Positive: Location is really good, right next to the beach Negative: The suite was full of cockroaches and ants. The shower was dirty
This place is amazing! There are restrooms. The sand is wonderful too
We had a great girl’s weekend! The staff is doing a great job of keeping things very clean and sanitized. The rooms are beautiful, the kitchenette was a great addition. The ‘private’ beach was a welcome sight as well.
Beautiful view and service, however TVs a couple decades old. Would be nice to plug in for music, shows or other fun with bluetooth. Or provide a hdmi cord? Overall happy!
Lido is one of my favorite places ever. The beach is beautiful and the town is one of my all time favorite places to visit
The size of the fridge in the room was awesome. It’s nearly a full sized fridge which was great for storing all of our beverages. The freeze is actually big enough to fit several items. This is not your typical hotel mini fridge. The location of the hotel was great. It is right on the beach and super close to Armand’s Circle. Here’s the negative: This hotel has a roach problem. We arrived 5 pm on a Friday and I noticed the floor was not clean. In bed by 10 pm and at midnight we turned a light on to use the restroom and there was a medium sized roach in the bathroom and a MASSIVE one on the kitchen cabinets. We were in the smaller and less nice building. Staff was polite and upgraded us to a very nice suite on the 11th floor in the other seemingly nicer building. After frantically packing all our stuff and lugging it across the campus, we get to what appears to be a beautiful suite. Then we saw roaches in the kitchen. These did not come with us, because as soon as I got to the suite I did a walk through before even bringing our stuff in. We told the front desk we could not stay and we left at 1 am and made the 2 hour drive back home. Such an absolute let down.
Best place to stay! Dane abs Sherman were awesome! Paula and Natasha served the best drinks. Kyle was very best beach Concierge! We love this place.!
We recently photographed an engagement photo session at Lido Beach Resort for one of our couples who will be getting married at the Lido Beach Resort and we absolutely loved it! The staff was very friendly and the grounds were just beautiful. The beach area with the rock made it the perfect backdrop for some epic sunset photos! We cant wait to be back to be a part of their wedding at Lido Beach Resort! If you are looking for a beach wedding venue in Lido Key or Sarasota area, we recommend Lido Beach Resort.
For state starters, the front desk staff outs incredible. Polite, knowledgeable, courteous, just all around wonderful. The ocean view room was incredible, well appointed, and most importantly, comfortable. The beds take prisoners, youve been warned. We highly recommend staying here and we cant wait to return!
**Wedding day **The entire stay was PHENOMENAL!The resort was very clean, the staff were all wonderful, helpful, and friendly. Susan went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend one to remember forever. We had a breathtaking view and room. And at checkout the 1 gentleman and 2 ladies at the desk on (10/11/20) were all polite. We will definitely be back . I truly enjoyed this resort ️-Tyani Fritch
Unfortunately the beach was under construction when we came to stay for the night. We were not told ahead of time, but they tried to accommodate the inconvenience by partnering with a resort a half a mile away to use their beach. Would still recommend. Especially if the beach is available! Beautiful views.
Wifi was spotty, we had to use our vehicles wifi. Room was clean but there was no washcloths. They charge a resort fee but you dont get all the perks they advertise. The sign in the room states free popcorn and one free water bottle per person per day but there was no popcorn or water. If you are an earlier riser than this place is not for you. Breakfast does not open until 8:00 am and is over priced. It took over an hour for breakfast to arrive and the eggs were not cooked all the way, the bread was hard, and the potatoes were not cooked. They did not cook the veggies for the omelette and they cut them larger than bite size. If you stay here then skip the breakfast and go off site. The view was nice.
We stayed at Lido Beach resort and got a two king size bedrooms suite. Paid over $1,600 for 4 nights..Unfortunately, we woke up Monday morning at 7 am to very loud construction noise ( loud drilling, hammering) which seemed to be in the next door unit maybe or very close by) . We stayed on the 3rd floor of the tall building. My husband called the reception desk late Monday morning. The lady picking up the phone said : “you are the second person calling this morning to tell us about the loud construction noise, but my manager did not tell me that there’s construction going on in the building, so I don’t think there’s construction going on”... The worst part, The noise took place every morning starting at 7 am. We were on vacation so we wanted to sleep in but could not... i wish the resort called us before we arrived to tell us that there will be construction noise, or at least move us to a new room, maybe higher floor, but they would not. Then, we woke up the second morning not only to loud noise, but the AC in one bedroom did not work, it was almost 80 degrees. We called and they fixed it right away... only to have that happen again 48 hours later...they did send the maintenance person quickly, but when we paid over 400 dollars a night, one would Think they would replace the old AC units when they are on their last leg. Anyway, at checkout, they took off $30 resort fee for one day because of the inconvenience .... of what they did not specify, They never admitted there was construction going on, but then why have construction material stored on the 3rd floor parking garage, same floor where we stayed? ( I will try to post a pic). Also, we were told that the manager will call us, which they never did . I purposely waited one day to post the review to see if the manager would call us, but no call. It will be interesting to see if they call us after I post the review... we stayed there last year and it was nice, stayed in the smaller building, but this year was not good....I’m disappointed ...UpdateThe manager called us the next day and he did apologize quite a few times about the issues we had this time we stayed, especially when he heard we are a repeat customer. He admitted they had construction going on and he said if he knew about it he would have moved us into a different part of the hotel... anyway, it was really nice of him to call and apologize. He did offer to give us a partial credit for the stay which was unexpected ...
We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days on the 4th floor, we tried to make the best experience, however, the place was dirty, our room floor really really dirty, like it has not been clean in a long time, you can see the thrash of the entire floor outside your room for 2 days, the elevator really old and stinks. Please be aware the breakfasts there is not good and extremely expensive. tried to talk to the staff at least they are friendly and willing to help
Great tiki bar! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Restaurant is great! Adult pool made for a nice vacation escape! Cocktails are amazing!
My husband and I had a very nice two night stay at the resort. The Adult Only pool was wonderful and so warm, and empty early in the morning for swimming laps - definitely not the same scenario in the afternoon - - it got crowded, with no one wearing a mask in the pool.... but there were 3 jacuzzis around the pool, and they were all HOT and enjoyable. Our room had a full kitchen, even a dishwasher - no stove - but also a microwave that didnt work....that was a bummer, but as short as our stay was, you cant expect a new one to be installed. We would go back again.
First room had difficulty with lock. On second trip to desk, no questions they upgraded. Very well handled! Nice to know front desk felt the frustration. Thank you gentlemen at the desk!
Great view but food was not good. We are not picky but grouper was thin and a funny color. 3 of us sent it back. We ordered the salmon instead...fishy and strange tasting. They comped us on the food because we didnt eat it. Hopefully things improve in the kitchen.
Great!!!! .
Ocean View Suites are amazing.. gorgeous views of the water overlooking the pool. Property is tropical and welcoming and rooms are spacious and clean. Will for sure be back..
Perfect Resort on the beach. White sands...crystal clear water. Beautiful suites...attention to detail...staff very friendly. Pools and Tiki Bar very nice. Prices are reasonable. Also, check out the Drift Kitchen and bar. We had dinner there and everything was delicious...beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely come back. Great place to relax and unwind!
Great resort. Wonderful rooms and views. Staff were the best. Unfortunately due to the red tide no one could go on the beach and the smell of rancid fish permeated the air with every breeze. Not the resorts fault and they did offer to let us leave early with no penalties. It’s a shame because my family was looking forward to walking on the sand. The entire Sarasota area was covered in dead fish in every canal. My hope is it gets better. Before booking you should find out if there is a red tide. If it’s there you don’t want to be. Shame.
Never told us their beach is closed for construction, and tried to play it off at check-in “Did you get our text?” Completely disingenuous, as we actually rebooked twice since Aug: no announcements, nothing on website, nothing on their actual “Beach” page, nothing in final booking reminders. A long awaited week for our family trip and a huge disappointment. Look elsewhere. Liars, profiteers.
Clean, great room. Beach, dinning, pool. Attentive friendly service. Great pasta and meatballs delivered hot for late night snack. Everything closes at 9PM!!! order early!!
What a beautiful place!! We transferred from the “sister hotel” sandcastle resort which was DISGUSTING, and lido beach resort definitely made our vacation so much better. The rooms are gorgeous and clean, two pools, tiki bar, the drift restaurant was awesome and right on the beach with an amazing view! Everyone has been helpful and friendly and id 100% recommend this place to anyone
I would give this space 4-5 stars. However, we got an ocean view room, which was supposed to be our private beach, but it was filled with construction equipment. Disappointed to pay full price for no beach access.
Positive: Great customer service, very helpful workers, eager to quickly resolve any problems that arose.
Great service, exceptionally clean and stunning location. Came here on a whim after bad experience at another hotel and my expections were far exceeded. I will be back.
Beautiful rooms with updated showers, full size refrigerator, microwave and safe to name a few. Scenic views of the beach from the pool or the tiki bar. There is a family pool and an adults only pool too. The service was terrific. When we wanted a fruit smoothie our waiter said they didnt have that on the menu but he was sure he could make it for us; and he did...every day ;)
This place was nice and the staff was nice as well! It was right on the beach which is lovely to have a nice big pool. The restaurant there I believe its a little pricey and the servings of food are not adequate to the price.
Nice clean rooms which are right on the ocean. It is also a plus that it is right near downtown close enough to walk.
Room looks pretty and updated but we saw about 10 cockroaches that my husband had to kill and there were hundreds of ants in the kitchen. This made our experience very unpleasant since we were here to celebrate our anniversary. Yes
The resort is beautiful. The room was amazing. The entire staff is rude and acts like your bothering them. We got no details about the resort when we checked in, didnt know about the places to eat, nothing. Desiree acted like we were keeping her from something at check-in. Horrible experience with the staff. There only great people were the beach guys who rent the chairs and they dont work for them.
Just checked in and the air conditioning in our unit was not working (81 degrees and set to 70). The hotel is probably 99% sold out but the front desk moved us to a room with working ac immediately. Much appreciated after a very long drive! Rooms are spacious, clean and beds are super comfy.
The hotel was nice. Our room had a musty smell, plus they didnt let us know their beach was closed when we made the reservation, so that was definitely a bummer. Overall, 3.7 out of 5.
Excellent hotel, comfortable bed, great views and good restaurants inside the hotel.
Both times weve stayed there, weve been very pleased with our experience. The recently renovated rooms are well kept, as is the property. Our kids love it and so do we. Friendly staff. Food from the Tiki Bar menu (poolside) is very good, and their newly renovated restaurant and bar in the tower is also very good. We hope to return again soon.
Most DISGUSTING/DIRTY resort I have ever experienced in my life. I, along with 20 other colleagues, stayed at Lido Beach Resort for 5 nights. We all experienced a major lack of cleanliness throughout the resort. Coffee served in cups with lipstick on the rim, bed linens that were ripped and stained, dinner plates that were covered in sticky stuff, rooms that were stained and splattered, and towels caked in old makeup.Personally, I had the experience of finding very compelling evidence that my sheets were not changed from the previous guest (sheets were stained and large food crumbs were between the top sheet and fitted sheet). I had requested 3 separate times to have the sheets changed but instead, the bed was just made and the sheets never replaced. This was easy to tell because the several stains were still there every time I checked. Eventually, after having to sleep a night on top of my own pool towel, I had to go to the desk and ask for a set of sheets to change myself. In addition, half my room towels were stained and my room floor was peeling up. They seemed reluctant, but they did eventually give me a free night off and breakfast; However, my personal safety and hygiene is worth way more than that.I give this place one star not because I cant give it zero, but because nature provided this resort with a nice view and a comfortable beach.
Location, location location. Very clean, restaurant was absolutely wonderful and staff was great. Close proximity to shops, more restaurants and sights. Lots to see and do in a very close area. They keep their beach clean
Its so classy. Although the security is lacking in respect of others.
Excellent resort and hotel. The rooms are clean and modern with an absolutely friendly staff. Our stay was durning a mask mandatory and they were very accommodating. The pool and beach are clean and very well maintained. We will definitely return.
This place is so amazing. We decided to take a trip up here from Fort myers on the 4thbof July.Last minute decisions.Susan in concierge took our call from the get go and she was SUPER ACCOMMODATING. EVERYTHING is really nice from beaches, pool areas, tiki bar and especially rooms.I thank you once again Susan for taking the time to make us feel welcome and allowing us to have a great experience. We will definitely be back and tell all our friends and family to come with.
Pool is great as is the bar and staff! Great place to stay with ready access to the beach!
Great accommodations! Clean rooms, perfect view. Super easy access to the beach. Whole family enjoyed the stay!
Very nice hotel. Remodeled rooms and great servvice at the bar. Only thing, too much people for my liking.
Very nice beach resort, close to St. Armonds. We stayed in the older portion of the resort and the room was very nice. The pools, one adult with hot tubs and one family, were very nicely maintained. The tiki bar was very nice and the poolside food was delicious. On the beach, there are employees to bring you chairs and you can rent umbrellas. The main restaurant in the resort was fantastic although the service in the cafe was lackluster. Overall it was a very nice environment in a beautiful location.
We secured a room to stay at Lido and received a text message the day before advising we would not be able to use the beach due to erosion repair. When I inquired about a discount due to the inconvenience Jason at the front desk offered a room at their sister property Zoda Beach Resort with a few extras thrown in. Thank you Jason! You saved the day!
Have stayed in this hotel in the past. Its very nice. Popped by to check on red tide situation for family who intend to visit within next 2 weeks. Air was clear and fine. No evidence of red tide. Apparently has a lot to do with wind direction. There was some respiratory discomfort reported by others as recently as this past weekend. Water looked fine and people were bathing in it. It looked slightly more greenish than I remember.
This is a great family-friendly property right on the beach. The best rooms are in the Palm Tower but unfortunately, those rooms are often double the cost of the rooms in the smaller tower. Our room was OK. It faced the parking garage so it was very dark, the bathroom was tiny and the A/C was loud and oscillating all night. I would give this property an A+ for rooms facing the ocean in the Palm Tower and a B/B- for the rooms in the smaller building. The rooms do all have small kitchenettes which are handy. They just renovated their restaurant, called Drift, which is on the 8th floor of the Palm Tower and is BEAUTIFUL. The poolside tiki bar is great with 1/2 priced drinks & starters during happy hour. This is our 5th year staying at the hotel and while the location is great, I am thinking of booking us in the Westin next year which is brand new and has a rooftop bar and pool. The rates are about the same and it would be fun to explore more of downtown Sarasota!
Nice resort, perfect spot on the beach. We had a one bedroom suite which was expensive but worth it. Great views of beach, perfect location and nice environment. The bed was ridiculously comfortable a fantastic nights sleep.
This resort was beyond anything we could have ever imagined. The room and bathroom were huge and great, very clean, and came with everything we needed. The balcony had the most perfect view of the ocean and pools, and it was so nice to hear the sounds of the beach and music from the tiki bar. The hotel is located directly on the water, theres nothing like being able to walk out of the hotel and onto the beach. The beach was clean and there was so much to see in the water - pelicans, seagulls, and even dolphins in the distance. The hotel has multiple restaurants, and the food is expensive, but it was great. Our stay was perfect, we didnt want to leave. I definitely recommend this resort.
Sunset is always beautiful here in Sarasota. But if you go to the 8th floor of the Lido Beach Resort youll be pleasantly surprised by the remodel theyve recently done. And the view is spectacular. But you are paying Resort pricing which is a little high for us locals.
Terrible situation happened in Lido Beach Resort. We found blood and urine spots over the covers sheets because they never change it. They are exposed all my family and my baby two years old to be sick with COVID-19 or any other diseases. Two-year planned vacation and they destroyed it for this sanitary negligence. Now we are very afraid to have infected with Covid-19. Some body need to do something about it. This people will be make your family sick.
Decent Place. Nice upgrades to the room. Pool area was ok - beach was good.
The rooms were clean and updated and the white sandy beach was beautiful. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My complaint is that they did not have enough beach umbrellas for rent and guests had to wait in line starting at 7 in the morning to possibly not even get one. They also stopped renting personal cabanas that they reported was due to covid 19. I would think that would enforce social distancing more than anything but what do I know. The management also did not ensure that the private beach was for hotel guests only.
Great place. Nice people, food very delicious, the rooms clean and full loaded the attention, outstanding, I will come back next year with the family n friends
My husband and I were married on the beach of Lido Beach Resort on March 14, 2020. In the year and a half of planning our wedding, Lido Beach Resort came into the picture only four days before the big day. With the previously planned venue falling through, we were referred to Lido Beach Resort and worked closely with Stephanie who did an incredible job at pulling all of the loose ends together on such a short notice! This is an OUTSTANDING location with an immaculate beach, beautiful hotel, and picture perfect ballroom! They made everything extremely easy so that we could simply just live in each moment that day!Thank you so much to Stephanie, and the entire staff at Lido Beach Resort!
Private beach and great tiki hut drinks. Dinner at Drift Restaurant on the 8th floor provides the best view of a sun set for miles.
Lido Beach Resort was awesome. We loved it and will definitely be back.
I loved it nice rooms . i loved using the Shuttles . Beach n pool were nice
Nice place but the service could be better. I felt invisible to the staff. You have to beg for help.
To upgrade the Resort experience and to make stay more transparent my only suggestion is to have the beach umbrellas included in the Resort fees. I heard this commends from other guest. Should be, we think_no more transactions other than to eat or drink_ as this is expected. So what we did is applied lots of sunscreen. It was really not a biggie. We really loved it there. I would go back. Sara at the front desk is wonderful ;>)
I love this Place! Found it by accident! Susan Ryan and the whole crew were amazing! Rooms are beautiful, the views and the whole vibe are great! Highly recommend and cant wait to go back! BPW
I loved everything, the cocktels were great, nice ppl that work there, the Beach is amazing...me room was super the facing the ocean..
This place should 5 stars not 3! The manager John H. is a classy and outstanding person. He took care of us across the board with incredible top of the line service. Plus, the food, pool area, and cleanliness there is amazing!
Great little resort on the beach. Ours was a generous sized room with a great little kitchenette. Right on the beach thats kept well maintained. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice, and the two bar/restaurant areas had quality food with well priced drinks, and amazing happy hour specials. Ill definitely be planning a return trip.
Tough to judge during Covid operations. All weird. One thing is sure: Charging Resort Fees while there are no resort services to speak of - its beyond annoying. This should be a nice place during normal conditions.
Wonderful staff, beautiful beach front room and a pristine beach. The entire stay was perfect.
One of my favorite beaches/hotels to visit on the Gulf Coast! I love the private beach and how it never seems too crowded!!
Lovely beach and nice pools. Rooms are pretty nice. A couple small niggles. They have Keurig coffee cups in the room, but ours were only decaf which are no good for us. The hotel cafe wasnt open until 8 am which is absurdly late, especially for a hotel this size. The coffee we finally got was over $4 a cup which I was expecting to be free. Our baby girls had bunk beds and only one had a too sheet, so we had to give one of our sheets to her. For the price we paid, one should expect full linens on the beds and access to coffee at a reasonable hour. Ive machine was not working also on July 4th.
Me and my family had a great time at this property, it is right in the water so we had a great time. Until it was time to leave and then noticed that while we are out of the room enjoying the day at the beach someone we Jr inside our Room and took my sons Nintendo Switch with a value of $300. We have informed the motel staff included front desk supervisor, manager and I wrote en email to the general manager. I have not yet heard from the general mother’s and this happend over Mother’s Day weekend. We are very dissatisfied but the way the hotel has handled this matter and we will not be returning back to this property because we don’t feel that our items are safe in this place. They didn’t even offer any type of solution to our problem
My future husband and I came to the Lido Beach area because we were getting married and honeymooning here. This was our 1st time in the area and staying at Lido Beach Resort. Our check-in was very easy the front desk was very pleasant. I really liked the wristbands to access your room and doors throughout the property. They charge a $30 a day incidental charge upon check-in to your card.Prior to arriving to the resort, we made a few requests and it was met using My Opal Experience that was sent to me via email a few days prior to our arrival. We stayed in the PREMIUM BEACH VIEW ONE-BEDROOM KING SUITE on the 9th floor. We absolutely loved everything about this suite! The decor was perfect, the suite was fully stocked with towels, toiletries, utensils, and pillows which made our stay more pleasurable. The size of the suite was that of an apartment. Our views from the living room and balcony were spectacular. The hotel had many amenities, some we didnt get to take advantage of during our stay. We ate breakfast at Cafe Lido. The food was delicious and came out hot. We expected it to be pricey, so that was no surprise. However, our server Doreen gave us horrible customer service. She was slow to take our order, and bring our food despite we seen it was ready. We watched as she swiftly served patrons that came in after us and checked up on them. She didnt check on us at all. She took our order, gave our food, and gave us our check after we flagged her down for it. So we paid and left and decided that we wouldnt go back to the Cafe the duration of our stay. The poolside tables have umbrellas on them. We had drinks and ordered food from the Tiki Bar. All of the bartenders were nice and lively. The drinks were refreshing and the food we ordered were hot and delicious. The prices were typical of that at a resort. When we ordered food we were given a pager that alerted us when our food was ready, we were able to take the pager all the way to the beach. The resort provides beach chairs and towels at no charge. The private beach was so relaxing, and the water was breathtaking, the waves was calm. While we were lounging on the beach, we were offered a free umbrella, which made the beach even more enjoyable. The check out was very simple and easy. The front desk provided me with an itemized list of my charges during our stay and verified the card on file. My husband and I will be returning back to stay at the Lido Beach resort. I would recommend anyone to stay at this resort, as it is great for singles, couples, and families.
First time visiting this resort, let alone the area, with my bestfriends over the weekend for her birthday...we had a great time. The room was clean and better than we expected. Loved the fact that the beach was reserved for guest only, the shuttle bus to take you to and from the shopping center where all the restaurants are was even better. Getting room service couldve been a little better but nothing outrageously bad. I would definitely go back again.
Super fun spot and off the beaten path. Right in plain sight yet sort of secluded. Had a blast here with family. Beautiful sand and water, along with very calm peace here. Can not wait until the next time we visit this location again. The restaurant has good food and drink too. Yum yum
For the amount of money I paid for a room here it wasn’t the room I requested or was told that I would be getting. I asked to be ocean front and they put me on second floor looking at the pool. And as for our air conditioning unit has wires hanging on the floor of the room and on the Patio, the cover fell off and is laying on the ground. This was my first trip ever to this part of Florida and I am so disappointed. I asked twice via text like we were told to do if we could get clean towels and toilet paper and we never received them. The front desk responded and said if we want clean towels and toilet paper then we needed to go to the front desk. The only nice thing is the white sandy beach.
Do not stay here. We arrived to find a previous guests blood in our bathroom in the sink and on the counter. It was never handled by the staff. I dont think anything more needs to be said.
Clean freely with good management. Best location.
Last night was supposed to be a great night with out of town friends that I referred here. What a disaster. It was completely destroyed by this shifty dood named Jason. He called the police on us and attempted to kick us out by lying to the police. The whole room flooded because the dishwasher blew up and they had no maintenance staff available. He also tried to blame everything on the night manager. I’ll never stay here or refer anyone here again. Over priced anyways.
Great Adventures begin with no Expectations!!Road trip began with no destination. We drove right to this hotel late at night and ended up staying for 3 nights. We didnt want to leave. From the moment we arrived we could not have be treated better. The staff were all incredible. Started with Jeff and Mirela at check in. Beach attendants Tom and Raphael cold not have been more accommodating. Ended with Jason and Franchi at check out. Location was fantastic right on the water, separate pools for adults and children were a bonus. Weather was amazing. We had no idea what to expect when we walked in our room. It was awesome. Beds were comfortable, large fridge/freezer, real dishes with dishwasher and microwave. We were so happy when we left, we re-booked for our next sisters getaway!! Thank you all!!
Really great place to spend some time with your family.
Upon arrival hotel is clean from the outside. Once inside lobby definitely clean as well everyone very monotone not very friendly almost robotic. Not memorable. Room was OK not great definitely had trouble sleeping while we were there very uncomfortable beds extremely thin-dated linen. The next day woke up to realize we had a massive family of ants coming from behind the dresser drawers against the wall where the tv was sitting. Had to move everything off the counters which was pretty much the only counterspace we had. So at this point everything is piled up on one side of the room. Day three woke up to no water due to work on the waterlines which I think the room should’ve been discounted especially for that day in question no access to water should be against the codes and regulations needed to stay open. Had a housekeeper walk in without knocking while changing. Kind of makes me think people are coming in and out of the rooms when people are out at the pool beach etc digging through peoples belongings. Even with the statement printed out by the hotel that no one will be entering our rooms. No room service. But yet they had people doing housekeeping and they didn’t even knock they came straight in.Hotel is listed as a private beach and having access to a private area on the beach multiple people coming in and out the side streets in adjoining neighborhood also children in the adult area people weren’t monitoring it as they were needed to do wasn’t fair for my child not to be with me the other peoples children were on the adult side overly priced menu overly priced drinks left item in the room know for a fact item was left in the room called hotel the day left to make a note that something was left needed to be checked no call back the next day was the same thing no call back again after leaving multiple messages for someone to call me back another call is made finally someone decides to say OK we don’t have the item Nothing was left. Kind of funny I read a previous review that the staff was not trustworthy. Beware if you say definitely bring ant traps, bottles of water, have a good explanation for your children why they can’t be in the pool with you on the side that has a hot tub But other children can be and make sure that you don’t Leave your room so no ones steals from you. Very disappointed
Always a great place to stay. Have been there many times and have never been disappointed. We were there again about a week ago and it was awesome. Already planning our next trip to Sarasota this winter and will stay at Lido Beach Resort.
Top of the line resort and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of vacationing in the area. Nearby beach access and walking distance from anything youd need. Lido Beach Resort is amazing.
The hotel staff allowed anyone into the private beach so that on Sunday, it was packed. There was no security presence, and people from the public beach came over and started blasting music from giant speakers they brought in. The rooms were dirty and had cockroaches. We were charged $ 210.00 in addition to our room rate because, according to Jason, the manager, “we have a new credit card system we’re sorry, we will do our best to refund the charge.” I would not trust these people with another stay. The staff is rude and had I not caught the charge, we’re attempting theft.
