Cannot say enough good things about Pride. The tour was absolutely phenomenal. Our tour/tasting guide Jay was amazing and incredibly personable. Not only was he a wealth of knowledge, but he took some awesome pictures that were perfect. The drive getting there really shows the destruction of the fires but make no mistake the Vinyard is open! Ask for Jay to be your tour guide!
Wow! What a great experience we had. Not only was the wine great but the cave tour was awesome. Jay took us on a fun and knowledgeable tour of the caves. I was waiting for the Phantom of the Opera to pop out. The candles in the cave was very cool. Definitely a must see winery.
This is an incredible Vineyard with delicious wines. Mark was a fabulous host and really took his time to educate us and answer questions. Highly recommend.
My Husband and I scheduled an appointment for a tour and tasting. We were ahead of schedule and they were kind enough to accommodate us. We feel truly lucky to have chosen Pride to tour. Our guide, Jay, was simply outstanding. We would definitely tour again. A couple in our group was already on their second tour and had requested Jay. We were there nearly 2 hours, we enjoyed every moment and purchased and shipped wine!!
Wonderful wine tasting experience. Jay did our tasting and he was very engaging. Beautiful property and beautiful Wine.
Definitely worth the trip, but 100% do the tour! Paul was our guide, and we couldnt be more appreciative of our experience. Hospitality makes the biggest difference, and we felt like family here. He made sure he knew us all and that we all knew each other. He often referred to each of us by name. Beyond the experience itself, the wines are incredible!! The fog came in late in the afternoon, and it was magical. We loved this place and will always recommend it for anyone visiting.
I can’t say enough good things about this wine and about Paul. Truly an amazing experience, never mind how amazing the wines we had the pleasure of experiencing were. Wish I could give this place more stars. Will definitely be back
What a beautiful winery. Our tour wasexcellent with a great guide who made our tour Fun.The wine was good but these wine makersshow little or none of their actual wine makingprocess. Compared to a distilleries tour the lack of how wine is made was curious! All in all Pride Mountain Vineyards makes avisit very memorable.
My husband and I were blown away by Pride! If you get the chance to visit ask for Jay! He was so welcoming, friendly, and so so knowledgeable about wind! He truly made our time there - plus he is an excellent photographer and captured amazing pictures of my husband and I! The wines are incredible and the tour is very educational. Cannot day enough about Jay and Pride wines! Can’t wait to go back one day!!
Loved our experience at Pride. The wine is delicious, the setting amazing and the staff fantastic. We joined their club and have been enjoying the delicious wines since our visit.
Best tour we had all week. They have a huge cave, tasted wine right out of the barrel, got to see grapes shovelled out of barrel. Very educational. Wine was very good.
Worth the drive. Enjoyed all their wines and the tour was great. And the winery itself is beautiful.
Great hospitality, great views and best of all great wines!
Must visit in Napa! The wines are great, location is stunning, and the tour is fantastic. Paul was a great guide.
Great tour of a unique winery. Definitely recommend a visit!
Fantastic wines, excellent tour, and beautiful property. Dont miss Pride if youre in the area!
Was an awesome experience! Family owned and it shows. They obviously care about making great wines! Wonderful grounds. Our tasting guide Mark Ferguson was amazing. He is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend making the drive up the mountain for a visit.
A must for Napa travelers. The wine was top notch and the tour was both informative and beautiful. Jay was a wonderful guide.
I cant recommend Pride enough. Delicious wine and a beautiful property made it my favorite place in Napa and Sonoma but Paul made it my favorite wine tour of all time. He was funny, engaging, and made my mom cry happy tears. Go to Pride Mountain and take a tour with Paul then buy a bottle and have a picnic while taking in their amazing view.
The staff is very nice. It has a very educational tour.
Friendly staff, great tour, and tasty wine.
Huge shout-out to Paul Smith who made this experience a milestone in our lives. The tour was superb and it was mainly due to the passion of our guide Paul. He was attentive to each person in the group and was his passion for the place, family and heritage clearly shined through. The landscape is breath taking and the drive up equally memorable. Highly recommended!
The folks at Pride took amazing care of our family when visiting wine country over the holidays. One of their hosts Paul treated us to an incredible tour of the property and the wine caves which was unforgettable. We went for their spectacular reds but were also impressed by the white wines and will go back on every future trip.
Paul was a tremendous host. He was very warm and friendly, leading to the group of 9 strangers letting their guard down and having fun. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine and learning about the communal impact of the family. The drive is no joke... 5 stars for the drive itself if you were sober in your favorite sports car; less so in a rental and this is your third winery of the day...
Great time, very informative 2hrs, can see why everyone loves it here, must make an appointment for a picnic table.
Insanely beautiful and incredibly kind staff. A top choice and will definitely be going back!
Pride is a MUST visit while in Napa. Pride is truly a one of a kind winery! The 2013 Reserve Cabernet is definitely one of my top 3 favorite wines. Overall my favorite winery anywhere in the country! The staff is full of personality and passion for their job, what else could you want? The property on top of the mountain is breathtaking and one you will not soon forget. High praise for Pride, but well deserved!
Friendly, down to earth staff; top quality wine; tasting menu was a hit for every pick; beautiful unique scenery at high elevation. My favorite Napa/Sonoma stop!
Get ready for a crazy drive, beautiful views, and delicious wines. A basic tasting includes a tour of the cave and several barrel tastings. Jay was the best host I’ve had at a Napa winery. Pride is a great representation of the excellence of Spring Mountain wines. PS, they are dog friendly.
A friend who really knows wine told us about Pride Winery. Boy was he right. Great wine, friendly people and a very interesting drive to get to the place. Highly recommend
One of my most favorite wine experiences ever. Great people, very educational, and the juice is exceptional.
Gorgeous winery producing stellar wines. Prime location and friendly staff! A must see/taste!
Great personal wine tour with a very charismatic guide. And amazing views! Well worth the trip up the mountain!
Beautiful grounds, terrific wines. Go for a tour of the caves. Very knowledgeable staff.
A definite highlight for any Napa Valley visit. The unique scenery and view are worth the effort alone. The wines are good as well. Kudos!
Jay was our tour guide and he was amazing..loved every minute
The best winery experience in our valley time. The tour and storytelling was packed with quality. And to top it off they have great wine. Everything we tasted was well crafted. We will be back and stocking our racks with Pride wine in the futureDont pass this one up.
Take a short drive outside of St. Helena and head to Pride Mountain Vineyards to taste wines in a serene setting with gorgeous views of Mount St. Helena. Relax amongst rolling hillsides lined with vines and savor the day at this stunning winery. We recommend The Summit Experience for a private tour of the winery and wine tasting in the caves where you will enjoy both current and limited releases that will be poured from their collection of phenomenal wines.
Great wines.Another beautiful winery on spring mountain!
Wow! Words can’t adequately describe how special a place Pride Mountain Vineyards is. A must visit for sure. The property is breathtaking, the staff treat you like family, and the wine is the best around. Paul was the most humble and enjoyable host we had during our Napa/Sonoma trip, and Sally the winemaker, who was around during our whole tour, produces the best product in the valley. If you’re looking for a true 5-Star experience, then Pride Mountain is your spot...it was so special I decided to propose while we were there!! Thanks again to all the Pride Mountain family for your help and making it a day we’ll never forget
First time visiting Pride Mountain, AMAZING! From the drive up the mountain to the time at the winery we couldnt have had it any better. This is a progressive tasting by appointment only. It starts in the tasting room and our guide Scott then took us through the tunnels tasting wine along the way. We even tasted wine still in the barrel. It was educational, enjoyable and the wines of course are fantastic. No feel of the cattle calls or pushy sales people looking to get you in the wine club. There was no pressure to buy but they do refund your tasting fee if you purchase wine. This is a must for experienced wine drinkers and novices alike. Thanks Scott for the fabulous experience.
Very nice tour of Pride Mountain winery today. Tasted some of their favorites and the views today were amazing.
Great wine! Great tour. Great guide!
This place is fantastic. Tour and hx... the wines are out of this world Great! A morlot lovers paradise..
Pride is the best winery I went to in Napa! We got a very in-depth, informative tour from Jay and also got to see the caves/cellars, which was really cool. Pride specializes in reds, but they have a much lighter taste to them. They also offered a number of limited production unique wines. The winery is located at the top of a mountain, so you can take in some beautiful views on the tour too!
Pride was AWESOME. Our host and tour guide was Paul Smith, who did a particularly amazing job. The tour of the caves was fun and interesting, and Paul was extremely knowledge about Pride, as well as wine in general. The wine itself was excellent, and the grounds are beautiful.
Great location on the peak of Spring Mountain! This winery has many different varitals of high quality. The tour is educational and a great value. Additionally there are picnic tables open to customers who wish to enjoy their lunch at the winery.TIP: Stop by Sunshine Market in St. Helena to get your lunch supplies before you head up the mountain.
Thousands of wineries in Napa. Pride has the best scenic view and the best wine for a good tasting run. The drive to the place is very nice especially if you have the windows down and listening to Desmond.
Pride is a must see, must taste, must experience type of place. Weve been to Pride four times, the most of any winery that weve visited and it is truly a joy to visit each and every time. The wines are incredibly memorable, the service is amazing, and the scenic views are beautiful. This is a special place with special people who make special wines and that is preciselyhy we keep going back. Call ahead for an appointment. Trust mehen I tell you that you wont regret it.
Great tour. Paul was awesome. 1 hr tour lasted 2 and time flew by. Amazing reds.
We had a really fun and informative tour and tasting with Andy Nies. The views up on the mountain alone are worth the drive up, absolutely stunning; and the cabs and merlots are pretty great too!
Absolutely fantastic and well worth the trip up the hill. The Pride Mountain Vineyard story is incredible and their wines are delicious. The kicker was our tour guide Paul.
Utmost favorite! I live learning about their new wines and the amazing history. We ordered a case from here and I cant bear to touch it because that means it will be gone!!
Beautiful location on top of a mountain straddling Sonoma and Napa counties. This was one of our favorite winery tours in the area. They have massive underground caverns and provide barrel tastings. The ambiance is awesome and the hosts are terrific. I didnt plan on buying any of their wine when we showed up for the tour. (Was maxed out on my planned budget.) However, we still ended up driving away with a half-case of Cabernet! Great experience.
One of my favorite places to visit in Napa! The wine is fabulous, the views are spectacular, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
HOLY COW, what a drive. The shirts arent kidding about surviving the drive to Pride. I had never been here before but a friend suggested it, only she left out the part about the drive. Absolutely gorgeous, winding roads all the way up. Not for the faint of heart or the easily bored, but definitely worth it once you get to the top.We had a lovely tour and tasting in and out of the caves. It was one of the better winery tours Ive been on. Our tour guide was awesome, the wines were great, and it was the perfect mix of knowledgeable, casual, and approachable that made it friendly for any newbie or expert alike. The winery is super unique with its placement on the line between Napa and Sonoma, and this is an experience not to be missed. I wish the wine was more affordable though! Id have loved to go home with a bottle or two, but definitely outside my price range.
Yes please! First do not trust your GPS... You will get lost. It is off the main road so follow it around for a few miles and you will arrive. Bring some food with you, They have e a lovely picnic area that you can take advantage of if your a member or go on the tour. The staff is extremely friendly and they they really work at trying to make sure you feel welcome and with a relaxed attitude and a good sense of humor. Our group ended up being a little larger than I am use to but they were able to handle it without issue. Its always a treat e to go into the area with the Wine barrels so the its a really good place to put on your agenda even if it is off the beaten track.
Incredible location. Off the beaten track vineyard. The staff was lovely and the tour was also very cool. Recomended to hide away from the crowds. Views are very spectacular.
Wonderful tour and delicious wines. Nikki was a delight, highly recommend!
Located off the main roads, in the mountains. It borders Sonoma and Napa.$20 for a 45 minute tour and tastings (they also have 90 minute tour). Reservations are by appointment.Very friendly guideCave tour is cool - literally and figuratively. There were about half a dozen wines to taste - some were bottled, a couple were from the barrels (cool!) and a really tasty dessert oneVery nice grounds to wander around; They have a few picnic tables to have a snack after the your while having a great view to overlooking the valley
Tour is great.Views are amazing.Wine is just as good.Bring a picnic.
Maybe Im spoiled by the private tastings and higher quality wines, but we incorporated this into our trip and didnt enjoy it at all. If you are ok with mediocre to decent wine and enjoy the entire commercial aspect of a vineyard (such as a big gift shop), then youll like this place. To us, the wine wasnt that great. Mediocre at best. The view was beautiful and the wine cave was cool - but in all honesty, thats not the core purpose of visiting wineries. With that said, our tour guide, although nice, was like a robot. She had her speech set in stone and didnt really listen to anyone. My sister originally asked her a question about the area before the tour started and she said oh ya, absolutely, yes. Thats not how to answer the question. hahaThen during the tour she stopped to ask if anyone had any dinner plans for the night and she looked at me so I stated that we didnt have any plans and she said Awesome! ... umm, again.. Im not sure she was listening to anyone - she was just on her memorized tour speech.Very disappointing.
The drive. The tour. The views. The wines. The vibe. An exceptional experience overall.
One of my favorite places to visit. Great staff.
Beautiful winery with fantastic staff and great wines. The tour was really informative and worthwhile.
We visited over 25 wineries this one was one of the least favorite.. the views were nice but the tour was not that great.. the wine is ok and its kinda expensive compare to 100 other and better wineries around the area... save your time and money skip this winery.
One of the best tours and tastings weve been on. Excellent wines - especially the merlot and cab - but they arent cheap.
Amazing tour and amazing wine. A must see and stop to view on top of Spring mountain!
What a great time tasting and visiting the cellars!
Great wine tour and has a wonderful picnic table area with views
Amazing tour and wine! Totally worth the drive.
Always a highlight for my tour groups for both the great tour, the wine, and picnicking afterwards!
Wonderful tasting, definitely worth the long, winding roads. Great wines, beautiful property.
We have been going to Pride Mountain for over 15 years. Its one of our favorite wineries in Napa. Outstanding cave tour, fine wines, and breathtaking views of Napa Valley, especially on sunny days.
Excellent wine. Talk to Anthony when you taste.
I crafted a list of must visit wineries before heading to Napa. While eating at Auberge du Soleil (which I also recommend!), a waiter said his all time favorite winery was Pride. Personally, I believe peoples reviews more than anything else, so we added it to the list. Pride Mountain is most definitely off the beaten path, but a 100% worth it. We visited 10 (thoroughly researched) wineries and this was by far our favorite.Jay, our amazing tour guide, played a huge role in our love of the experience. What sets this place apart (because most wineries in Napa have the view and [hopefully] great wine), was the fact that this was the only winery visit where we left with a more knowledgable and passionate view on wine making. Walking us through the intricacies of growing your own grape to understanding your tastebuds, if you want to fully appreciate the art of creating wine, visit Pride Mountain (and make sure your tour is with Jay!!!).And just in case you are looking for recommendations for others, may I suggest:- Artesa - Best VIEWS. If you like to take some good pictures like me! Domaine Carneros is nearby and worth the visit as well.- Cliff Lede (ask to see the art gallery!) - awesome place to relax, less busy- Domaine Chandon - a bit on the commercialized side, but my favorite sparkling wines by far.
Love this wine!
Fun drive, great wine and awesome service!
Cool
OMG, amazing pearls!!!!
Awesome wine, great location
Gorgeous. Great wines.
AMAZING!
The drive.
Guides are amazing and the wine is the best!
I want go there! What time open ! What time close
Amazing!
