Accessible and beginner-friendly, with an AMAZING view for an easy payoff. Definitely recommend!
Better than expected. Lived in sonoma county for over 20 years and never knew this park. It was quiet, not crowded, good work out going uphill and good amount of shades from redwood trees. It was about 25 minutes from Petaluma. 0.8 mile uphill hike was just good enough for me. Great view of sonoma county cities. Great local park.
An epic ride to near summit to the backside of JLSP from North Sonoma Mtn Regional Park 9.2miles of steady grinding climb singletrack with amazing vista and views still can see the lingering smoke and burn scars from the Glass Fire. #sonomastrong! Another awesome gnarshred sesh!
A nice hike with switchbacks and shade. A gradual uphill climb. A local treasure
Nice you from up there. They do have huge potholes in their driveway.
Really rough road the last couple miles. Dogs not allowed.
Its beautiful at the top! The climb from tbe usual $7.00 parking is a gentle sloping that meanders the golden knotty ridges we see from Petaluma Hill Rd just pass Sonoma State heading south.
Calm winter in the park. Nice weather for the MLK holiday day out. The kids missed Sugarloaf badly, this is an alternative for the creek but no sufficient water to have fun yet. Kids are excited Sugarloaf is opening soon after the fire.
Beautiful hike! amazing view! Flowing water. Love this place. Also connects to jack london state park
It was muddy and rained on us and it was still gorgeous! These pics are no filter in February...
Well-maintained trails combined with challenging ascents. Great views when you climb out of the switchbacks. There is not a lot of trails here - really 1 main trail up Sonoma Mountain. Also these are not technical rocky trails, but still thoroughly enjoyable. Now that this park connects to Jack London State Park, it is effectively much larger and another piece in the growing Bay Area Ridge Trail.Parking is a steep $7 per day, but Im likely to get the annual parks pass. There is a well-maintained bathroom at the parking lot, but no potable water: be prepared for your hike/run/ride!
What a spectacular view, BEAUTIFUL drive. snow was amazing. What A Beautiful Day.
Ive been here twice and neither time was it crowded. I love the terrain and the views from umbrella tree.
Good trails, wide, not too steep. Beautiful views this time of year
Awesome park wonderful views!
This was the first time I visited this park, and I was very impressed. The trails are actually roads, and theyre very well-maintained. The views are outstanding, and the redwoods and oaks are just wonderful to walk through. They have picnic tables throughout. The Umbrella Tree, by the spectacular view clear out to the ocean, is amazing!
Spectacular iews of Sonoma County
Great place for a hike
Breathe taking views of Sonoma Mountain and surrounding areas. The newest of the Sonoma County regional parks. One can hike from the north side of Sonoma Mountain all the way to Jack London state park. A must hike for all avid hikers.
Super cool park with amazing views! Went for a nice trail run with good quality and maintained trails.
Nice easy hike with beautiful views. Good for all level hikers.
Nice shorter hike up to Umbrella Tree, and a breathtaking vista- most of northern Sonoma County, at the top.You can connect to other parks (Jack London) and go a very long way from here.
Beautiful and best
The trails are great! And, very few people.
Great hike.
This park is a gem. Plenty of hiking trails with shutter pick up between parks, in case you end up at the end side of a long trail. Views are breathtaking. A must for park lovers.
Excellent place for hikers and ramblers with walks that will suit all levels of fitness.....
Great park for short, easy walks into Sonoma County grasslands and woodlands. Great views.
Nice place for a hike!
Running or hiking through to Jack London Historic Park extends the trail for those seeking an even bigger playground. I cant wait for the summit of Sonoma Mountain to be open to the public!
Latest addition to the Sonoma County park system, it is perfect for a day hike with astonishing views of Bennett Valley, Annabel State Park and Mount Santa Helena in the Mayacamas range.
A peaceful park with a few trails that take you up to high points with beautiful views. Charge to park or get an annual pass.
Really fun trail that has some great views at the top. The road leading up to parking is a little scary to drive on since its very narrow.
Great trail and beautiful views of the valley. Trail is muddy in areas but not too bad yet.
Awesome hike!
Great views and some steep climbs!
