What a beautiful place. The staff was very welcoming. The wine maker was exuberant and full of excitement to share her craft. We had a blast with a little live music and physical distancing. Beautiful beautiful scenery and back drop. We want to come back and learn more about this place. Definitely worth a little jaunt off the main roads.

Live music on Sunday evenings, outdoors with easy social distancing. We paid $20/ ticket to see Already Gone. (Tickets available on Haaks website). The band was set up in a large pavilion and there was space for dancing. The guests were seated outside of the pavilion...so the acoustics were not great. They offer wine and beer and have appetizers. There was a food truck on hand. Atmosphere was casual, people were friendly, and service was good. Plenty of parking.

I am a club member and just went to pick up the quarterly wine selection yesterday. There were quite a few people in attendance. The live music was fantastic. The artist was Mickey Hobbs through Lisa Brinkley Entertainment. My wife and I had a great time sampling the wine and enjoying a couple of bbq pork sandwiches. We love these pick-up parties.

It was absolutely beautiful. Had my daughter and son in laws wedding there yesterday. 10 24 20. The staff was so helpful and patient. Wonderful experience. I highly recommend anyone who wants to get married there dont think about it just do it.

I would give no stars if that’s an option. This is honestly the worst wine I have ever tasted. We love wine and like to visit vineyards. Don’t waste your time here unless you are just wanting to be outside with a view. Wanting good wine?...go to the grocery store and pick up something else. I don’t normally review, but it was so bad that I felt the need to warn people who like wine that tastes and smells like it.

I’ve been a wine club member for almost one year, and am so happy I joined!! This really is a local gem, with fun events like dinners and pruning festivals, plus wine club member parties every season with food and live music included! First time I came, I did the tour which was very fun and informative, and it convinced me to become a member. My favorite event so far was the pruning festival! This is a great place to come with friends!

Haak winery is open. But only to purchase wine by the bottle or glass. No tours or tastings at this time. My experience with Haak is generally positive and it was this time. They are working hard keeping things clean, not that it was dirty before. Four stars because it didnt seem quite as friendly this time, but that might just be because of the social coronavirus upheaval right now.

Delicious red wine and very quaint and chill winery. Enjoyed the time we spent here and even joined their winery club! Would definitely recommend Haak winery to anyone that hasnt been.

What a great place to hang out! You can also join the wine club, the wine pick up parties are the best. There are so many things to do at Haak winery or take a bottle or more home.

Love going to events here or just to wind down after a long day. I wish they had longer weekday hours, so I can go more often after work. It would be to hard most days to get there before they close.

Absolutely fabulous!! Wonderfully welcoming, knowledgeable and classy! Haak winery is a wine lovers paradise. They have some of the best in Texas including competition winners too numerous to mention. The Madeira is a decadent, palatte pleasing experience which leaves you longing for more! I live here but if youre a visitor you must visit this winery even if you do nothing else in Galveston county! I promise you will never regret the decision. Thank you for your hospitality! It was a pleasure to visit.

If you are looking to have the perfect wedding on a budget I highly recommend this place. They had wvweything set up beautifully, the food was amazing, the cake was amazing, the wine is amazing, and the views are beautiful! I could not have asked for a more beautiful and unstressed wedding!

It was good, until the mosquitoes came out

It was out on a little country road in the middle of nowhere, like a diamond in the sand. The winery and vineyard is beautiful and would make a great venue for weddings or any group event. The wait staff was very, friendly, helpful and informative.We got there late in the afternoon and had another engagement so we didnt have time for the tour... must go back! The tastings were only $10 for a flight that consisted of 3 wines (2 oz samples) of your choice. We ended up doing 2 fights as the wines were so delicious 3 was just not enough!They have snacks for purchase that include a variety of wine food such as gormet crackers, cheeses and meats. They had a wide variety of white, reds, blushes and dessert wines. All were very tasty and aged well. I typically migrate towards the dryer varieties and am a cab girl. However the semi sweet white and reds were amazing.Ill definitely have to go back for the tour next time Im in that part of Texas!

The wine is delicious especially the Madeira! Our tour guide was AWESOME, very informative and made our first visit to Winery enjoyable and fun! Today was my first visit. The entire establishment is very impressive. The staff were friendly and obviously knew their craft. If you enjoy vineyards, do yourself a favor and look these folks up online. You will be glad you took the time to make a fun discovery. I am looking forward to going back!

My Husband and I went here for the first time this past weekend and had a great time!! We did the tour and a wine tasting after. Its so beautiful here and our tour guide (Robin was her name I believe) was so much fun! We will definitely be back even if its just for a glass of wine and to relax on a date.

My fiance and I toured Haak Vineyards for our wedding, everyone was great, very polite, and the wine was delicious. But, we didnt pick this place: The grooms quarters was a section of a tin out-building, and the bridal suite was the owners den of their house which is connected to the garage, and their chapel is a small covered area outside. For the price, time allowed(4hrs) for the wedding($250/hr over 4hrs) and atmosphere we decided against it for our wedding.

Really enjoyed wine tasting at Haak vineyard. Lots of great wines, ports, madeiras.

Eli was the greatest! Helped us sign up for a wine club. He was the reason we signed up! He should always be at the front desk and interacting with guests.

My siblings took our mother for her birthday. The place was great and the tour was really cool too. They were very generous with the wine tasting. I highly recommend their Amnesia wine.

Great wines. Excellent covered venue for music and dancing. People are outstanding. Wish there were more shade trees, but that would likely inhibit the growth of the grapes. Wonderful store as well. Go! Have fun.

I had an issue with an order and Sarah was extremely nice and worked everything out. It didn’t come out perfect on my end but she handled the matter extremely professionally. Even though I cancelled my membership, I will be returning again. Great management.

This was the concert night — Mambo Jazz Kings. We pre-ordered tickets, but when we arrived at 4:50, they did not have wrist bands for pre-sales, only for those purchasing at the door. Next, we ordered food at 6:00. The order never came, so we went to inquire and were told that our order “got lost.” They said that they would make another one right away, but 45 minutes later, we had to go back to the window AGAIN. The cashier told me that she could not give me a refund even though I paid cash. I asked to speak to a manager or someone in charge of the kitchen. She would not do that. Instead, she acted very put out, and rushed the cooks to get out one burger and one order of fish tacos while we waited at the window. She was visibly irritated, and asked us if we wanted to the food still. I said that we wanted our money or the food. Finally, an hour or more after our initial order, we got our food on the third try.Later. I ran into friends and told them the story. They said that their orders “got lost as well.” Also, a waiter dropped food on their table that was not theirs and left it for about 10 minutes, then he returned and took it to someone else. If my friends weren’t good people just think what they could have done to that food before the real customer ate it.Haak has these larger events often, so they should know how to run them by now. Very disappointed and won’t go back.

A great place to gather a group for an enjoyable afternoon. I invited family and friends to come to Haak for my wifes birthday. They were very welcoming, everyone enjoyed the place and wine, it was a simple and great time together. Good wine, good place, good time together.I enjoyed helping with Pruning Day for the second year in a row. I appreciate Raymond bringing in the consultant to teach us about pruning and propagating from cuttings. I have three vines in my yard from last years cuttings and I took more cuttings this year to try for more. Pruning Day is enjoyable - almost as much as Harvest Day.After pruning we stayed for good music, great wine and good food. The burgers and fried fish were super.

We love the vineyard and every event they put on. The wine is a delight, fun place for music and dancing. Food truck event was a blast as well as Wurstfest and looking forward to the Halloween ball. They always have something fun going on! And the food they serve, top notch. The executive Chef Mary is always a delight to bump into at the vineyard, she makes our day there too!

You can get a Groupon. Its $20 for a tour and tasting for two people and includes a $20 merchandise credit, which can be used to purchase everything except wine. There are two young girls working there and they were very helpful and so sweet. I believe their names were April and Sara. One of them was my tour guide and she was very knowledgeable. I learned all about Madeira, which I knew nothing about. I really enjoyed the tour and the tasting. They have many wines to choose from, but I highly recommend the Madeira! I enjoyed my time there and I will be back!

Absolutely amazing experience! The staff was awesome and the vineyard was beautiful. Oh yeah, the wine was pretty tasty. Highly recommend it to anyone. Pay no attention to the negative comments on here, they obviously werent paying attention to any of the beauty around them.

We went to a food truck event at the winery. The parking was a bit of a challenge but once there the event was lot of fun. We tried most of the locally grown white wines and everyone thought they were excellent. The winery is very beautiful and the people were friendly. We would like to go back for a quieter visit so we can get a tour.

Stopped there as a new Wine Consumer on a Wednesday around noon. Place wasnt very busy, however, the bartender? took time to answer my beginner questions with zeal. As we were speaking the owners came through and took the time to say hello, introduce themselves, and shake my hand. Small shop to buy some snacks and souvenirs. The 3 wines I tried were all very good, however I liked the Purple Porpoise the best!

Nice vineyard that is between Houston and Galveston. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff. Tasting with tour. Tiny retail shop where you can purchase cheese and meats to go with your wine. Had a nice white to go with the warm weather and chilled outside next to the vines.

Had a great time here today. The price is reasonable for the tour and tastings, and the staff is nice and not pushy. I wish they sold their estate wine to non club members, but thats not a huge deal. Cant believe I never tried this place before today.

This place is beautiful, but we had a difficult time on our wedding day with the event coordinator Sarah. She was very reactionary for the duration of our event, and seemed extremely annoyed by the end of the night. While I understand that events can be difficult, that kind of professionalism on that special of a day can have a lasting impression on clients.

This was a great place to visit on the weekend. The venue was beautiful and the staff very helpful. Most importantly though, the wine was delicious. My favorite by far was the Tempernio. If youve got some free time on a Sunday (kind of a long drive from Houston) you wont be disappointed.

In the last 4 years my wife and I have been to eighty something wineries around the state of Texas. While we were at Haak we had a very enjoyable experience. It is definitely one of the better wineries in the state. They have a nice range and balance of wine styles and types so everyone should find something that is agreeable to them. To me their Maderia is the BEST in the state of Texas. Everyone that I have shared this Maderia with just loves it. Even though I live outside Waco and it it a 4.5 hour drive, I hope to go back some day and enjoy another fine TEXAS WINE ADVENTURE.

Fantastic experience. I visited the Haak Vineyards and Winery over the weekend. I have been to a handful of winerys around Texas, but this one is a must see. They are one of the 6 vintners in the US that can label Maderia and it is fantastic juice! They have live music (mostly blues based), a very clean environment, and of course, fantastic easy drinking wines.
