Park is well kept and has picnic tables under some beautiful redwoods. The best time to visit is 12pm-4 pm, just my opinion. JJC Electric

A great middle part that we found driving around. my two-year-old love the place we had a lot of fun for about an hour and a half. It was really clean. When we arrived there was a park ranger walk in the park. Which was nice to see.

Sadly this park hasnt provided the greateat experiences for my family. My toddler has had to wait for a woman to shoot up in the bathroom before she could use the toilet for what it was intended for. On another occassion some little girl tried telling my daughters they couldnt play on the structure simply because they were on it. I reminded her it was a Public space for all kids to use. The structures however are fun and different than other local parks and with the mini skate park addition we have been wanting to give it another try. Its just not really safe for a family.

Beautiful little park with a big people problem. The city has given this little place everything a park should have: grass, playground, dog run, water and restrooms, and recently a skate course. What is not provided makes the facility useless and that is law enforcement. I’ve tried to use this park four times in the past month. Each time, I chose to leave within minutes of arriving, the druggies loiter at the bathrooms, day-camp on the grass, and use the the restrooms like a brothel.

Nice little park with dog run base ball diamond basket ball court play area for kids. 8 picnic tables couple out door grills can reserve tables on Saturdays only. Plenty of shade trees and grass area to relax in. If at hotel in area can talk kids to play do to run and enjoy some of the FREE things to do in Santa Cruz. Park well kept and clean. Late after noon visited by some home less but they where nice and respectful. Police and park rangers drive by often so over all nice safe park

Great park. We love the flying saucer swings. There are several BBQ pits and picnic tables under beautiful redwood trees. Baseball diamond and great fenced in area for dogs to run and play. Biggest downside are the one stall restrooms, so make sure to go to the bathroom before arriving at the park. Park is geared more for smaller kids.

Dont go to this park if you dont feel comfortable around homeless. I love the playground and the dogppark. Parking is decent for being street parking. There are basketball courts and a baseball diamond. There is also a fenced small kids play ground. Bathrooms, only 1 per sex.

These pictures were from up the street from the park itself, but it was on Grant St. And I thought there succulent garden was beautiful!!But as far as the park goes, its a nice park, with a dog park area where your dog can run around in an enclosed area. I like Grant St. Park.

Very nice park. Went there with my besty to enjoy the weather and having lunch on the grass. Everything was great until we were harassed by a park employee who said her name is erica. She was rude and made us feel uncomfortable for being in the park. She asked us why we were there? And to move spots. Blamed us for park shutdowns..etc. Made us feel discriminated against for no good reason. We were just passing through trying to enjoy the day. Wr dont why we were treated so unfair? There are other people who also feel the same and have been harassed as well.

Sunny, beautiful grass and picnic tables. Really really cool park, actually two, one isfenced in for younger kids. Dog park, clean bathrooms, basketball, baseball field. The missing star is due to the occasional individuals that can often be found napping in the shade. These people are generally polite and harmless; however my child always notices and it rises questions, not always a bad thing, it makes for a humbling and educational conversation. If this type of thing makes you uncomfortable you may just want to drive by and check it out before commiting an afternoon there.

I love the park structures and the layout. But frankly, there are a lot of sketchy and homeless people milling about. I was worried the whole time about keeping my daughter close and that my car may get broken into. I was watching for old needles everywhere. Didnt find any, thank God! But, feeling like you have to be so mindful isnt fun and parks should be fun.

Lots of transients in the area which like to make it their mission to make me uncomfortable, but the dog park is nice enough. Typically small to medium dogs come here. The park is small but well stocked and theres a field for baseball. All the necessities.
