Walton Lighthouse is located around 30 miles south of San Jose downtown, This is a very nice place to capture sunrise. Great place to take a walk on beach near the light house. A must visit place if you are visiting Santa Cruz.

Beautiful trail, good place to sit and have a morning coffee, listen to music or have a nice conversation with a friend. You can see all the boats coming in and out which is fun to watch. Nice little chill spot.

Go at high tide. The waves are amazing to look at and make the scene peaceful. The lighthouse itself isnt much since its not open, but it can be used as a shield because the waves can sometimes crash onto the pavement. The path to the lighthouse starts with a flat road-like path, changes to thick(?) sand, and then back to the being like a sidewalk. There are nice flat rocks to take pictures on with the ocean background.

Spectacular sunrise, especially when the lighthouse is still beaming early in the morning, and some early bird kayaks are floating around. Its a very calming picture.

Its a great place. You enjoy walking on the beach, beautiful scenery, it is a quiet place. We recommend visiting it.

Took a nice walk down the beach to the lighthouse. Lots of crabs to look.

The beach here is awesome. The crowds are minimal. Great place to take the kids swimming and fun on the beach. Theres a lifeguard on duty at least when we were there. The light house itself is a small one but still worth going to see. We had fun and I did some photography there as well. Theres a place to eat and public bathrooms close by. You do have to pay to park, but worth it for the beach.

Beautiful view. Walk from the boardwalk to here and feel the peaceful vibes. Nice area to soak in the sun. Its not empty most days and its even a nice spot to look over in the rain. Gets a tad muggy dirty in February but they do their best yo keep it clean .

The lighthouse is easy to get to and a fun place to walk around.

Short but peaceful walk. Its a calmer area & I enjoyed it. It was easy to find parking but the lighthouse itself is not huge or open.

Go to this place early morning and you get an amazing sunrise. Its a good way to start your day. I end my morning run here and its very calming.

The waves crashing on the beach was awesome. It was really cool to watch the water splash against the jedi.

Its a fairly new lighthouse, you cant go inside and its a little tricky to get to due to construction.

This is a nice little place to take a walk, day or night! A fair amount of people, but never too crowded. The lighthouse is newer and looks like a model of a real one, but it makes for nice pictures. Its fun to walk out to it and just daydream while staring at the bay. There is usually always some strange dredging activities happening right next door to watch if you do get bored of the bay.

One of the beautiful spot for a photographer. The sunset adds a nice color to the background at evenings. Irrespective of whether you are a photographer or not, youll enjoy the spot.

Beautiful location to go sit on the rocks looking at the sea at sunset. You can take dogs there for walks on the beach, some dogs were off leash too, so that is acceptable. There are nice restaurants overlooking the sea in the vicinity, like Crows nest (though we didnt go in there). Nice place to go for a romantic walk, or walk the dog, or just chill.

Great fishing spot or just a nice place to visit watch the boats and the wildlife.

We like this place. There are many things you can do here. A few decent restaurants, watching boats/sails coming in and out of the dock, you may also see seals (and eating salmons), nice beach, and sand volleyball. Public restrooms are also available.

The quality of the light provided by this light house is good. Such an intense amplitude, a well tuned frequency. I love its electromagnetic field. Also good views and sounds for a walk

Lovely place

Despite this being called a light house you cannot live in it. This is exactly the kind of contradiction a lighthouse should warn you of. I did learn this and now you know this.

We couldnt go in but the views at sunset made up for it!

Great place to stop by for a panorama spot. I have seen dolphins and seals get fairly close and it is a great place to relax and get some good shots of the harbor.

The walk from the dollar store was a little dangerous. i am afraid the sight i saw when i got to the curve was quit sad. it was over cast but a lovely dusk. it was the underdevelopment of the amazing spot on the planet. wow gates from the houses overlooking the river and the ocean were all falling apart and it really looks neglected. and i will say again the road is very dangerous if your biking, walking or really anything its just underdeveloped.
