Fantastic place!!! Seriously worth a visit if you are anywhere in the area. Not used to parks like that but it was a great experience. Definitely not your typical park. Dogs need to be on a leash. Great place for the family and kiddos

Quaint little park. Inviting scenery. Has a babbling brook feeding into a small pond. Mature trees provide plenty of shade to cover the afternoon sun. The breeze knock off the leaves, then gently float down to the ground. Unfortunately, city traffic, horns hi king and trains passing remind you of how close city life is. However, the park is well kept and is a great place to relax. This is a great place for a BBQ or outdoor festivities.Finding a parking spot can be a challenge, especially on the weekend.

Generally wide paths conducive to social distancing form a network of passages among various labeled plants and trees, and benches. Beside pond and realistic running creek. Please dont feed the ducks and turtles.

Today the breeze is blowing through the multitude of lovely trees. The array of birds are chirping. It successfully distracts from the sounds of the cars whizzing by our one way streets. This is another place that is good for a little.stroll or taking a seat under a tree and just breath.

Beautiful gardens and walking paths to stroll through in the downtown area. A great place for little ones to explore and learn how to respect nature.

I have walked here for years. My dog and I enjoy this park so much. I love to take photographs here, there is always something new blooming, flowering and they take such great care of the grounds. They just cleaned the pond, and it looks fresh and inviting for the fowl and the ducks. This is a beautiful oasis in the middle of town a lovely place to stroll. It has a self guided tour so you can learn about the trees and plants if you desire

Love seeing the abundance of mallard ducks here. The pond is also loaded with turtles that swim around in the pond and like to sunbathe. Alice Keck also has an area set up as a butterfly garden, filled with special butterfly-attracting flowers and plants, complete with several milkweed plants for monarchs.

Alice Keck Park has something for everyone. Amazing variety of plants, well maintained, and beautiful year round. Many animals call the park home including ducks, rabbits, turtles, butterflies, and more. Two grass areas to picnic on or relax, many benches and trash/recycling cans. Audio stations throughout the park for the visually impaired which describe the plants and scenery. Adjacent to Kids World (large castle playground) and plenty of on street parking. Convenient to downtown/state Street and local restaurants.

I hadn’t been there but I was at the park across the street during the Solstice parade in 2007. I took my 78 year old Mom and my dog.

My son and daughter-in-law got married at Alice Keck Park 10 years ago. I was there in late February with my 5-year old granddaughter while we waited for my daughter in law, who had an appt nearby. Its a nice park in old Santa Barbara, but I was a little surprised that it wasnt in better condition. The pond was nice and there were lots of ducks swimming around and turtles sunning themselves on rocks near the edge of the pond. There are lots of dirt paths that meander through the park and some of them were so rutted that I couldnt get through with the stroller. You have to watch out for tree roots, too. There are both sunny and shady areas and several benches. We were there on a Monday from 1-2pm and I didnt see any homeless folks hanging around as they are prone to do in other Santa Barbara parks. I dont mean that to be an ugly comment. It was just an observation.

Alameda Park, Century Park and Alice Keck Park Gardens, Park is Alices last name, are three nice parks. Kids World is located within these three parks. Its a great place to take your kids to play on the large wooden playground. Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens has some fascinating botanical information alongside the plants plus a pond where you can occasionally see turtles. Century Park is wide open and great for picnics.
