Were from out of town and needed a break for the kids in a long drive. This park was surprisingly well equipped with lots of options for the young ones. Public bathrooms across the road.

Paragliding, mtb, hiking, softball field with lights, bathrooms and dirt jump park on the backside. Elings has it all! Just wish they had showers and would remain open all night.

My membership with the American Horticulture Society gets me in under the reciprocal program and it is actually cheaper. Love this place. During the summer they have extended hours and occasional free concerts. Lots of shade for those walks on hot days. Plus it has some cool stuff in the gift shop. Well worth the membership.

The best view of Santa Barbara, well one of them. Only at times, I had to climb a fence but it was an easy one to climb and dogs have to be a memberto walk there. Thats the only thing I I dont like about it. But its perfect for me. A couple benches scattered around to sit at to watch both sunset and sunrise. This is no the side with the baseball fields. You can access this from that same driveway and walk up the trails to this spot but I didnt even know that it was part of Elings until I got there and saw the sign. I entered from the neighborhood gates. Right now they are open from 7-7:30 but you can squeeze through the gate or hop the fence go be honest. Its so Beautiful the gates should never be shut. A disappointing aspect as its my understanding that your dog has to be a member of the park or you get fined. Lame if you ask me!! Total downfall. But worth the visit for the view.

I honestly cant tell where the hiking trails are at in this park. Theres a back entrance that I miss every time so I havent been able to go. The main gate entrance on Las Positas is easy though but no access to trails from what I can see.

This park has something for every one! Hiking paths, dirt bike area, soccer and softball fields, 2 playgrounds and wedding areas atop the hill. One little known treasure is the Veterans Memorial Walk at the top of the hill (entrance toward the close end of the upper parking lot). Bathrooms in several locations and plenty of parking unless there are games. Sometimes they make you pay to enter.

We arrived here on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm for a wedding. It was a beautiful day and you could see for miles from the top of the hill. There were restrooms and a large open area for games. The half round amphitheater was where the wedding took place. It was shaded and seats were available. The reception was set up nearby and it was a perfect evening.

Great place for sports and a wedding venue as well. The have nice fields and games ranging from soccer, lacrosse, baseball softball and both mens rugby and womens rugby. The mens rugby club is called the Grunion and the womens rugby club is called the Mermaids. The usually hold rugby training open to anyone on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the top fields. find both clubs on Facebook and show up to one of their training, its a work out and great competition for those that like contact sports. Those rugby people sure know how to have a good time!!!

I didnt realize you needed a permit for your dog until I was driving out and read the sign. I have to be more vigilant when entering an unfamiliar area. No one said anything. The ball fields are closed but people were walking over the barriers anyway and playing. Again, no one said anything.

Beautiful park that has great views. The baseball/softball fields are well maintained as well as the rest of the park, and restrooms. The baseball/softball fields each have fences (during league play some of the fences have different rules then others). There are picnic benches perched around BBQs, and there is a playground for the youngsters.

A great local park with a variety of offerings: playing fields, memorials, views of the surrounding hills, oceans, and city. Lots of parking, but easily accessible on foot from any direction. Dogs are allowed but need an annual pass. Go early in the morning when people fly lightweight remote control airplanes, or a weekend afternoon when hanggliders are floating from here, then over the nearby beach. My only complaint as a local is: the road from the park entrance, up the hill, needs to be repaved! Lots of dips and bumps... Drive carefully.

We had our ceremony at The South Bluffs and we could not be happier with the location!! WOW, what a view!!! We knew that we wanted to be close to the ocean but not right on the beach. This spot was absolutely perfect. We used Jump on the School Bus to transport our guests to and from the ceremony site so there were no issues getting up / down the hill.We definitely impressed all of our guests with how beautiful the view was!

This is a huge multi-level Park with soccer fields, a softball field. Areas for weddings, areas for parties. It has a play structure for children. From BMX racing, to hidden areas for private parties. This park has it all! Fantastic hiking trails and even a veterans memorial walkway. It is dog friendly but you do have to have a specific permit to bring your dog onto the property. there are often weddings or parties being held on the weekends, so you may have to pay for parking on the weekends.

Elings Park is one of the best parks in Santa Barbara. Kings Park is a dog-friendly park, dog owners are required to buy an annual membership to have their dogs at elings Park.Park has many conveniences, some of the top canvases are a place to launch hang gliders, softball fields, soccer fields, barbecue areas as well as a BMX track and two RC race car tracks. The park also has many miles of both cross country and downhill mountain bike and hiking trails. I am a huge fan of godric Grove It is a beautiful Park area at the very top that overlooks Hendrys beach and the ocean. there is a deck which is great for weddings or parties and also a grass area that is beautifully maintained there are many beautiful plants at godric Grove as well as restrooms and water for both people and dogs. There are many different areas at Godrick Grove to look out over the city. Youre visiting Santa Barbara or a local This is a must-see place
