A fantastic park with a pirate theme playground. The kids ran around and had a ball climbing and playing on all the structures. Safe, fun and a great design for hours of fun! If you live or are visiting Santa Barbara, put this place on your list for the kiddos!

Super cute very Exclusive visit with the animals small but perfect for up close encounter an great for kids, familys aaa people who cant walk fast or far . Purchased on Groupon an would totally recommend an go back again they even have special one on one With certain animals for additional cost.

I didnt know I keep passing by this park until I looked at the pictures on here that others have shared. Yes, in a way I have visited. If I get out of my suddenly Google says I have been here. From what I have observed, its very nice. Social butterflies flock here daily and keep to themselves. Its an interesting area to me.

This place is great. Right by the water, with a sprawling playground that has equipment for children across a wide variety of age groups. Definitely a Santa Barbara gem.

Simply one of the most beautiful places in the world. A symbol of a real Californian iconic city. The palm park is right along the waterfront, it will amaze everyone with its hundreds and thousands of towering palm trees that go on for miles and miles and its shipwreck themed playground and Spanish style architecture. This large custom-built playground has many beautiful features including surfacing whales, a conch shell lighthouse, murals, and a nautilus shell play area. There are drop-in picnic areas nearby, as well as reservable picnic areas and event facilities. I hope people get to see the beautiful scenic views, and just how blessed we are to live in California. This is always a great place to go if you want to go for a walk, ride a bike, skate, jog, rollerblade, take the kids to run around or even your dogs out to play! Lots of open space, bathrooms, and the beach is nice as well! I love to set up my hammocks here!

Its a very nice park, especially at sunset. The views are exhilarating, and sublime if there are clouds around you. There are nice bike paths and nice crosswalks around you.

Nice Vibe especially if you catch the awesome musicians...during Corona Times this is the closest to a concert youd get!

I actually worked for County elections, three precincts had their polling place at Chase Palm Park. Best polling place on earth! Right on the beach. Doesnt get any better than that!!

One of the premier urban beaches anywhere. Easy walking on beach, sidewalk, grass or bike path (be aware of and courteous to faster moving bikers; this area is designed for shared use, but many pedestrians are unaware of their surroundings). No businesses on the beach-side of Cabrillo Blvd makes for much nicer strolls along the beach. Relax and enjoy!

Nice, clean, well taken care of. The wharf is really close, downtown area next door, food, drinks, and of course if the water is not too cold you can for a swim.We were there on a Saturday in August, sunny about 80F temp, beautiful day. Crowded but not too crowded.Definitely will be back

This is a great place to stop along the beach for the kids to play. The equipment and grounds are very nice and there are short walls, benches and tables where the parents can sit. There is enough variety that kids can easily play for 30 mins or more.

Great views and a relaxing atmosphere

Beautiful park to just stroll around. There is always parking on the street and it’s FREE. Definitely go and walk around or rent a bike and ride the boardwalk. Great view of Stearns Wharf and uncrowded.

Beautiful place to visit

This place has a nice big playground, but there are quite a few homeless people in the park. They are generally not bothersome but if thats an issue, its not a good place.

Its just so beautiful for strolling, and right across the street from the beach. Love taking visitors there, especially for the summer concerts.

This park and recreation area is right along Cabrillo Blvd in Santa Barbara which is right along the boardwalk and offers the most stunning views of the ocean. This area of Santa Barbara is a wonderful relaxing atmosphere and a pleasure to visit any season whether blue skied or a bit overcast.I wish I had taken better pics that reflect the area...Ill try to add better ones a bit later hopefully.

Beautiful open space by the beach. Locals come in the evenings for pick up games of rugby and soccer. The also have free concerts at the park during the summer on Thursdays.

Location of the Sunday Santa Barbara Arts & Crafts Show as well as the locations for several Wedding Venues m Concerts, and Special Events year round.

Great place for adults and kids alike.

Pedestrian friendly. Street parking is convenient and surprisingly easy to find.

We rode a peddle car over with the kids. Ease of access. However, we were a bit disturbed by the sea lion carcass floating to shore just feet down from where the kids were dipping their toes. :(

Chase Palm is an amazing place to take first time visitors or your family for an afternoon bike ride or stroll. Always great activities going on and beautiful sunsets to catch.

Nice family park across the street from the beach. Playgrounds for kids. Unfortunately, a vintage merry go round that was a center piece in the park is gone.

It is OK! The quality of the beach is not that good as what we thought and it is dirty at some point!

The weather was great. All was good until all the tourists and homeless left their trash all over the streets and sidewalks. There are trash cans everywhere and these pigs still just left their trash everywhere.

Generally a very nice stretch of park and neach. The people either make it great or ruin it for others. This day all was well and time for walk on beach and at park while on roadtrip.

Really pretty park! I walked through to spin pokéstops (really good place for them) after it was closed and dark, so I didnt see too much. There are nice patches of grass, a fountain, some bridges, places for children to play and for the contemplative to sit and watch things go by. Seemed like a nice place to spend a little free time.

Homeless people make me sad, wish there was a easy answer. Park is pretty, busy all the time.

An amazing park for the following reasons :1. Bike path - long bike path runs through it that straddles the beach2. Lined palm trees - amazing feel created by the string of palm trees3. Clean cut grass - comfortable for laying blankets and picnics4. Sunday Art Walk - great collection of local artists with goods for sale5. Hammock heaven - get a hammock tie it around one of these trees and relax.

Love this place

This is a pleasant little park across from the beach. You will have to park on the west side of the road, as there is no parking near the park. The equipment is somewhat limited, but there is plenty of grassy areas and a public restroom.

The Chase Palm Park is awesome. As a dad looking for nice places for my daughter to play and have fun, its perfect. We can feed the ducks, ride a merry-go-round, play on slides in a playground (which has bouncy floors and sand), and we can go across the street to the Sea Center or grab a bite to eat nearby. If you have a younger child especially, youll appreciate the lack of bulldozing older kids around here!

One of the greatest parks in Santa Barbara being right across from the beach which has access to the public markets that come on Sundays and theres a drum jam session that goes on every Sunday evening I cant say enough if you want to have a picnic Chase Palm Park is your place if you want to go to a merry-go-round Chase Palm Park is to place its also right across the street from the visiting center of Santa Barbara simply a great place and Park

We were here in mid September and it was lovely. Not crowded in anyway. If you want to rent an umbrella or clamshell, though, you wont find anything like that nearby. You need to go to the other side of the wharf.

Great except the homeless can be aggressive.

Nice small venue with a beautiful outdoor area for ceremonies. You can hear people on the beach though and you dont have a great view of the water from the venue.
